Daily routine of coturnix quail at myshire farm

hey guys it's AK from my shire farm here in Miamisburg Ohio today we're going to show you the routine the the normal routine in the morning and at night what we do so if you're here to follow me the first thing we do is the feed we've got two different types of feed we've got a starter grower and then we've got a lair so pretty much Papa made this really pretty nifty curve that puts one bag of each we'll take it this is the lair feed we'll put it in a very pager pull it up push it down you're good to go we do that twice a day sometimes you'll check mid day if it's really hot or really cold out just to make sure everything's okay and then all the bruders will get the starter which I'll show you in just a second while we're going over there I'll take the water so all of our cages are automatic waters we are going to be doing a video on cages such as the edge process and the waters and the conveyor which is super cool we don't have trays or anything like that they're on the conveyor so the drop is go on the conveyor we turn it they go down to the big conveyor takes it outside to a wheelbarrow to the compost pile and we're done so we've got about three thousand quail it takes us less than 10 minutes a day to clean the poop up which is awesome and we new every day twice a day say that that's great keep the smell down keep supplies at bay so that's really nice now for their leaders these are not automatic waters we just have a normal mason jar we'll take the lid off we'll put it in the water fill it up put the lid back on we'll flip it over you can see right here it comes out right here water it is summertime so we put an extra water in here to make sure that they stay hydrated and then next would be V conveyors so I'll quickly go over that again we're gonna be doing more detailed videos about the cage itself but pretty much what happens if we turn on the conveyors here the main conveyors on the floor are on a motor so we'll we'll turn those on it starts going outside all of the cage conveyors on the main goes outside we take it down we'll pressure wash the wheelbarrow out every day to again keep the smell down and keep the Flies at bay and then the last thing we do is floors we do floors just once a day because it's exhausting and I'm lazy so it is what it is but pretty much it's it's self-explanatory we're just gonna scrape everything we'll take it to where it conveyor we'll scoop it up we'll put it on the conveyor and that goes right outside with it so we've got 3,000 quail at all times consistently and it takes us it could take us less than 45 minutes to feed water and do the floors and take care of all the poop it could take us less than 45 minutes usually takes us longer things we're checking our birds or were collecting you're getting orders ready or things like that but that is the my shire process we do that twice a day right in the morning and right before we go to bed the lights stay on until you turn the lights on when we come out and then we'll turn the lights off after we're done with the last feed and yeah that's about it guys if you have any questions please comment check us out on our Facebook page - on your farm or visit us on our website wwm I see our farm calm I hope to see you then Thanks you
