your god tear your hearts cry to him [Music] good morning dear brothers and sisters this mass is offered for these intentions for the happy reports of avelino dyers for the souls of luis rodriguez and piedad rodriguez for the good health of marvin gracias for all the departed members of cardozo family and in a particular way we pray for lord de silva today is his birthday we pray to god that god may bless him with abundance of graces and blessings may he give him good health of mind and body and being by his side every moment of his life and guide his every step along with these intentions we also bring before the lord our personal intentions in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen the grace of our lord jesus christ and the love of god and the communion of the holy spirit be with you all and with your spirit dear brothers and sisters let us acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries i confess to almighty god and to my brothers and sisters that i have greatly sinned in my thoughts and my words in what i have done and in what i have failed to do through my fault through my fault through my most grievous fault therefore i ask blessed marriage all the angels and sins and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to when the son of man comes in his glory and all the angels with him then he will sit on his glorious throne before he will be gathered all the nations and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats and he will place the sheep on his right but the goats on the left then the king will say to those on his right come you who are blessed by my father inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world for i was hungry and you gave me food i was thirsty and you gave me a drink i was stranger and you welcomed me i was naked and you clothed me i was sick and you visited me i was in prison and you came to me then the righteous will answer him saying lord when did we see you hungry and feed you or thirsty and give you drink and when did we see you a stranger and welcome you or naked and clothe you and when did we see you sick or in prison and visited you and the king will answer them truly i say to you as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers you did it to me then he will say to those on his left depart from me you cursed into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels for i was hungry and you gave me no food i was thirsty and you gave me no drink i was a stranger and you did not welcome me naked and you did not clothe me sick or in prison and you did not visit me then they also will answer saying lord when did we see you hungry or thirsty or stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to you then he will answer them saying truly i say to you as you did not do it to one of the least of these you did not do it to me and these will go away into eternal punishment by the righteous into eternal life the gospel of the lord praise you lord jesus christ truly i say to you i suddenly do one of the least of these my brothers you did it to me dear brothers and sisters in christ jesus i was as i was reflecting on this reading i was reminded of a beautiful song it goes this way christ has no body now but yours no feet no hand but yours yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on the world how lovely are the words and when jesus appeared to saul the persecutor of the christians was going around persecuting the early christians when jesus appears to him in a flash of light the voice came came to saul saul saul why are you persecuting me dear brothers and sisters in christ jesus and today in the gospel reading we say we hear jesus says whatever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters you did it to me it is fitting for us to imagine or to consider that we are his temple where jesus christ lives now now we cannot see jesus physically but whatever we do to others we do it for our lord jesus christ saint paul in the letter to the corinthians he says your body is the temple of the holy spirit our body is the temple where jesus christ lives and thus for us taking care of another having compassion of another is what jesus is telling us today if we do not care for our own family members if we do not have compassion on our community members if we have jealousy and hatred towards our own people then how can we imagine that we can receive the blessings of god or how we become worthy of receiving the blessings of god dear brothers and sisters in christ jesus the commandment of jesus was love one another hence as we reflect on this reading today let us look into our inner self jesus has given us a beautiful opportunity to look into our inner self and examine through the journey on the passion and sufferings of jesus during this land season and therefore look into our inner self and examine how am i living how is my behavior towards others how is my attitude towards the other people whom i meet can we truly say as that we are caring for one another in the gospel reading we hear that those who fed those who clothes and those who cared for the neglected ones they were surprised and they asked jesus when did we see you hungry and we feed we fed you when did we see you naked and clothe you likewise it goes on so dear brothers and sisters we cannot see jesus now physically in a physical body like us now but when we care for one another when we love one another truly jesus lives between us lives in us therefore we ask jesus to enlighten us today so that we can overcome our selfishness we can overcome our ego and truly pray for one another love one another and journey towards our lord jesus we pray through the intercession of our holy mother hail mary full of grace holy mary mother of god [Music] [Music] ah us be yours and yourself [Music] set the hearts of spirits make us lord your own through your goodness lord we break [Music] with the life of your son [Music] up a father let us be yours and [Music] make us [Music] pray brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to god the almighty father may the lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good good of all his holy church may this devout oblation be acceptable to you oh lord that by your power it may sanctify our manner of life and grain for us your conciliation and pardon through christ our lord amen the lord be with you and with your spirit lift up your hearts we live them up to the lord let us give thanks to the lord our god it is right it is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks lord holy father almighty and eternal god for you have given your children a sacred time for the renewing and purifying of their hearts that freed from disordered affections they may so deal with with the things of this passing world as to hold rather to the things that eternally endure and so with all the angels and
