I'm saying damn sure do yes sir he was working out so you pulled up you saw a hoop and said we yeah you know I figured we had a couple extra minutes and I figured I'd demonstrate just in case Shaq was watching the cameras on him him where the other one at what Trev and the other there's three people in here that who who would you compare your game to in the NBA yeah all time I would never compare it to the most dominant big man in the history of the game oh yeah yeah I would imagine your game's different than shs I ain't even going to Big myself up too much man in the company of a legend on the basketball court man somebody to do I I compare my game to uh uh I'm one of a kind baby I'm leaveing it I'm one of a kind I ain't gonna start nothing is it but are you off the dribble are you shot like what the total package complete player man can finish around the rim I was just going over this with them don't be look vouch vouch [ __ ] go tell tell them how I'm rocking huh yeah you know I got the pullup game I got the you know I'm saying I can go either way yeah yeah you know what I'm saying can dribble with both hands you know what I'm saying can finish around the room mid-range game is is impeccable oh wow Bounce [ __ ] sounds like you're like a Devon Booker type Deon Booker like a de Booker type Devon book a little more I'm a little more Rough Around the Edges okay see what I'm saying of My Boy book he's a little clean cut yeah but I ain't going I ain't going to B myself up too much man for the people be trying to play me one onone when they see me embarrass me will you play ghilly yeah we played at my house in the backyard man did you beat him G now look where the camera at whichever one you want he brought it up G you know what I'm I definitely I definitely got away with the victory that day wow I definitely left Victorious that day Dam he might tell you it was home court advantage but you know have plenty of reasons I'm ready anywhere all right I can you help me out cuz I've been saying your name this week and everyone sometimes my white guy voice gets too [ __ ] strong and your your name makes me sound really [ __ ] white my first name my real name no your rap name the baby yeah cuz I say the baby and people are like that's the whitest [ __ ] I've ever heard in my time that's how that name sound when we first it I'm like bro I don't like baby like what's that like I'm like damn what's that and I'll be down about a year later I was like yeah Deb coming by and they're like that sounds white as hell man it do do I know so sound white with us said what's going on it's the baby like I don't even I don't even say that bro I be like it's baby like it's baby yeah yeah I got to I got to put some twang to it man I got to shorten it up you know what I'm saying I was getting clowned all [ __ ] week like please don't say that here's the baby yeah okay you got that voice though you what say d voice I have one of the best White Guy voices in the business introduction was crazy might I'll let you for an intro or something on the album in lude brother whenever you need that America you're about to have an eargasm it's baby do that before one of them freaky songs so the name the baby little baby like when when you heard a little baby did you think about changing name and how did you come up with that name n really so so originally the name was Baby Jesus but we switched it you know what I'm saying we ain't we ain't want to you know ruffle no feathers and none of that but it was more so about just my purpose being to do for others and you know what I'm saying like that's what I'm here for like that's still who I am right now to this day like I I do for others that's what keep me fulfilled you know what I'm saying saying that's what help me sleep at night when I look in the mirror that's what make me smile the brightest you know doing for other people you know what I'm saying if it was just for me I probably would have been sitting back cooling a long time ago I wouldn't be you know as successful as as I was and and continue to strive to be and still work still be the hardest person working in the in the rooms you know what I'm saying so it's definitely it was more so about that um just to give you context on the previous name but coming into the industry you know we know the that we we knew I knew some I won't say I know all the ins and outs cuz later on you know what I'm saying I ran into some more you know what I'm saying but um we knew enough to know that it it probably was best to go ahead and switch that up you know what I mean and and that's when we came up with the baby and then um like right after I switched it to the baby like little baby popped like probably months after like two three months after but I ain't really trip you know it's enough room for everybody to get some money out here you know what I mean and he ain't never showed me a an ounce of of you know what I'm saying like this D or none of that like he 0% of a hater you know what I'm saying so you know there was enough room for both of us to really take off right behind each other type you know what I'm saying and dominate in the game well I don't I don't like to uh put people's business free but he likes the same medicines you like okay there it is yeah well yeah yeah I'm see I'm seeing I'm seeing something right here too I see well that was Cam Newton was smoking a cigar okay yeah um I like that medicine too he was talking about black women my wife is yeah yeah that's that's going to heal you up good uh speaking speak of black women uh this video was on your IG recently let's take a look yeah smile with your go yeah all right y'all be careful and be safe always all right it's beautiful in here too so I don't about okay sexually assaulting me woman came up to him in his car took a picture reached over grab this man just grabbed him that wasn't a Skit n hell no Auntie did that that was real yeah he had the he he had the phone sh his head oh damn yeah man it was like a party favor she's like and I'll take one of these to go have you ever had a fan absolutely all the all the time the just reach and grab your dick yeah all the time what that happened a lot bro that happened that ain't you know that definitely wasn't nothing new so when I saw the way people reacted to like responded to it that's why I had to go lien it up I'm like I ain't want to see her get yeah yeah like don't call the feds on them they act like the feds about to pick the case up I thought that was a skit No Man D it man you would think a lot a lot I mean people didn't thought a lot of real life things that happen with me with skits like that's just how these these situations are what was the most egregious one you've ever had or the one that shocked you the most side probably on my birthday when I was playing through Orlando Magic I get a knock on the door that's you was a young [ __ ] too got pray 21 knocked on the door and I opened the door and this lady had on the trench coat she's like I'm your birthday present she just dropped the coat and was butt ass naked at your house no at a [ __ ] hotel oh oh I slammed the door he's okay okay yeah I was like was one if you going to send something let me know you going to send it I ain't getting the call that I was getting something send that [ __ ] just showed up wow in a trench Co at day trench Co [ __ ] was fine though I open the door she's like happy birthday Diesel and I was like like what is this she said oh is this your birthday present I was said no I'm good I'm good did you look through the people after you close the door I just open cuz no cuz I actually thought it was room service cuz I after shoot around I get my two Club sers it was a hard police do like yeah I'm hungry and the [ __ ] I was like hello happy birthday the [ __ ] man but I was like no I'm good cuz I thought it was a setup exactly you did great decision I thought it was a setup what is that like to reach a point where something like that that regular [ __ ] would be like man You' be lucky to get that they you go something's wrong this is a setup like you get to that point where like people are trying to [ __ ] bring me down with this getting to that point ain't ain't as fun as you think man cuz it's like you can't really trust nothing like I've always [ __ ] with you first when you came out but I really start [ __ ] with you there was an incident you were shooting a video yeah and the dude was tried to Shake You Down One in Atlanta yeah yeah it wasn't too far from here my favorite line was like I ain't no Little peee I ain't no Peewee dog you know what I'm saying don't let it fool you you know what I'm saying know did you see that no play the clip you y'all got the clear play it go ahead let's get let's get into to it you say what don't know nah no I don't know nothing I ain't get told signing no permission slip nowhere that ain't what I do that's all good B homie they said he could have just came in politic you know that what real [ __ ] do I ain't no peeee though so we don't it don't go like that it got to be respect I don't I don't ask questions I don't permission I do that you could have came and chopped it okay we going to see we going to see so he was shooting so there's this thing that I don't know if it's real or not but when you come to somebody Hood you're supposed to check in I don't know what the [ __ ] that mean but that's why I call you when I come to Atlanta he was shooting a video and I guess some guy said he didn't check in and he was by and they were being serious he had where was my permission slip yeah yeah permission was wow and I saw that people need to call you when they go to Charlotte n don't call me okay don't call me call you drive a car y'all care you see what I'm saying but you don't need no permission for me to be here I'm out your business man do you you know what I'm saying and you used to have to do that too yeah okay that to Chick yeah yeah okay okay please sir it's me Shaq please I think you'll forget that I'm police so I I think it's actually heard police I feel bad sometimes for athletes and artists cuz you always get compared to the generations before you but it's all you right when when you go on those flows like I mentioned skipping when you have that staccato d what age when you were whether it was like freestyling for your friends when did that when did you go oh that resonates with me I really enjoy that I really ain't even start rapping so I was a grown man so it wasn't like like I wasn't like a kid that was in high school like in the ciphers at lunchtime I ain't do none of that really yeah as an adult like I was like 21 like I the the type of car I drove I had already had like a I was wearing a bunch of gold chains I wear new I I remember one summer this probably the summer right before I start rapping like I didn't even wash clothes for like six I would go to the mall every morning with like some shorts on tank top flipflops and I go and DTLR buy a brand new outfit put it on and then that's what I'm in for the day I did it for like six months straight so by the time I looked up I had like eight nine construction big black trash bags just full of clothes I had to take them to the cleaners but people would already ask me like I'd be in the store buying cigars or something you know what I'm saying at see meina store what you rap or something and I would like get offended by it like I ain't no raap I rapper you know what I'm saying but as I'm riding around all day long doing whatever I'm doing at the time you get what I'm saying the music that I'm listening to it sound like a you know a soundtrack to my life to my real life and then I know at at some point I told myself like I could talk slicker than all these [ __ ] that I'm listening to like I you know what I'm saying like I can put the words together I'm actually doing it yeah I always had a way with words you know what I'm saying so I jumped out there I went to my God it I was um I was subleasing uh his condo Uptown in Charlotte I was 21 years old I think 21 or 22 was probably right when I turned 22 one of the two might have been 22 and I told him I'm like uh he had owned businesses in the city own companies or whatever he was real connected in the city and I'm like take me to somebody that can make me a beat and they could record me I want all my Beats to be original I want to start rapping I want to make a mixtape but I want all the original Beats I'mma pay them whatever you want but I want to own the songs I want to be mine and it took me to this guy made beats in front of me overcharge me like a [ __ ] you know what I'm saying but you know you got to pay to play you know what I'm saying and from there I just hit the ground running ain't stopped first I just want to first time you go in the booth mhm cuz you said you never really done it was it were you writing was it free styling like what was I never wrote I never wrote a song and so the first time you go in there did you hit it right away yeah the very first song I made actually the very first song I ever made it was called Baby Jesus I ended up that ended up being the first hit record that I ever made and was pushing in the city going to pay DJs to play first song that ever been the first song I ever made was the first song that ever got play it got played on the radio so when I think of myy re ever heard myself in radio the first song I ever made in the studio and how's that guy reacting cuz you're going in there going I never done this before he's overcharging you so he's like first and I mean he'll tell you it's crazy that you ask cuz I reconnected with him uh we've been working we actually got some of the the songs I got one or two of the records I got coming out on May the 3 he produced them you know what I'm saying I reconnected with him and I've been working on my documentary that'll be coming out either the very top of next year you get what I'm saying or towards the end of this year more than likely very top of next year but I reconnected with him and when we was interviewing him for the documentary he actually he spoke on it you know what I'm saying like he was honest about it like yeah first like I ain't really take him serious cuz coming from where I come from I'm still the only artist to pop out of Charlotte the only rapper for sure ever pop out of my city so you know uh he probably take it you know the same way he take everybody else so the majority of the people just just running around playing not taking it serious not marketing their s the correct way not investing in they s like I was doing all that off the rip you know what I'm saying but you know out of his own mouth he ain't taking me as serious nowhere near as serious as I took myself you know what I'm saying like nowhere near serious then he heard the sound later on he found out like damn this man ain't playing but by that time I was gone and I reached back out like right when I popped he he said it in his interview I reached back out he still was kind of tiptoeing and he looked up number one worldwide you know what I'm saying so when did you realize you were famous man they hit me probably way later I ain't going to lie I mean famous or or because I still moving around like I go to Whole Foods every other day buy my own groceries you know what I'm saying I still pump my own I like you know people be trying to tell me like what you doing in here you know what I'm saying so like the famous part of it probably like when when I start when I start getting like different reactions to to stuff that I that I you know looked at as like normal like that's probably when it really hit me like when I saw that I couldn't you know what I'm saying sneeze without offending somebody or something like that's probably when it hit me hit me I probably know I was famous though the first time I came around that corner and all them people were screaming them songs word for word but it's levels to it you know what I'm saying like it's levels to it and I definitely ain't let like the early Fame like get to me and just sweep me off my feet like I stayed down you know what I mean kept my head down kept working whole time you know what I'm saying I had to get she brought to an abrupt stop to sit down I ain't sit down you know what I mean from the moment I saw you know what I mean light at the end of the tunnel I took off you know what I mean straight towards it so I don't know man somewhere along the lines of of of you know all the the the draw I had with the uh with the with the live shows and and you know just the way I made people feel that that always been the Forefront for me in terms of like what I consider is is Fame I always really lean more towards like just my ability to put a smile on somebody face a you know what I'm saying make somebody have a good time I link towards that I never really like played on the you know what I'm saying like I'm this famous guy like you know what I mean like this what it is like I never really linked into that side of it man I always you know stayed and and you know stay getting to work so I would say somewhere between when they first you know start screaming them words word for word at them shows or when it got to the point to where I get in trouble if I sneeze in here they boy they bring the police in here Welly you you assaulted them you know what I'm saying so it get Wicked man I know you're a hoop head earliest not NE I won't say hoop head I'm a fan of the sport you yeah yeah you going to have these guys man earliest we're not going to ask you [ __ ] trivia questions earliest memory of this guy for you oh man earliest or the moments that you you go man that's sha earliest memory man I you this Shaq bro you know what I'm saying so I remember when he did Shazam I probably know that movie word for word bro like you know what I'm saying really not for sure like I like allam notation Shazam is the app yeah I remember Shaq yeah [ __ ] the name [ __ ] with you I think Shazam kind of makes more sense I feel like Shazam bit off they mix Shaq with the damn with the movie they B his style you need to go get your money you need to go get your money man I might have turned you on to something Shaq lawyers y'all tun in in that definitely has something to do with him that's the reason why I downloaded app they did just take your name and Kaz swear to God they they combined it they probably should have named him you know why cuz somebody's like what was that name of that movie was Shaq when he was a genie which is like what Shazam is like what's that song it's everybody always say sh a real life superhero though man you know what I'm saying real life superhero you know what I'm saying so I don't I it's not a moment I can't remember back far enough to where he wasn't you see what I'm saying I always knew of him I always knew of him so I kind of can't even tell you the moment you know what I'm saying not I ain't I ain't over here tooting your horn I'm this real [ __ ] Prett sure a Hornets fan Hornets come on and then y'all don't be letting me shoot the ball when I I had eight quit size seats let me I'm glad you asked me this I need to speak my peace on a credible on a credible platform I had eight tickets eight court size seats I paid good money for six figures a month for these seats I had two courtside seats I got my mama two and I got four for just if I had guests coming in the city or whatever I can my mom want to bring friends whatever eight seats majority of the games four of them open players come they they see me they recognize me they roll the ball over to me shoot man shoot I get the ball I try to come out there they try to come tackle me bro yeah you you going to have to go you shoot that you got to leave I'm like damn that gave it to me so I I say I can't shoot bro I give it back sipping my little drink I'm sitting back there throw it again man nobody worry about them shoot the ball I shoot they come over there you going you going to have to leave you know what I'm saying so no I'm not a fan of them right now but I still you know I love my city I represent my city K you out kicked you out they didn't no they was going to they say do and you said do you know who I am no I don't be I told you I don't even be you know I don't care yet like that somebody else said do you know who that is right yeah players was telling them you know what I'm saying like this LeBron and them throwing me the ball bro you got to watch out yeah I go to a game here in Atlanta they going to treat me like the president they really are they treat me like the president you know Atlanta has figured out how to honor Courtside visitors oh no they always been like that but it's just watching Everybody right now like young DC like everybody they understand the market and they also understand the culture yes yeah for sure and that's important you know what I'm saying turned up to the max they got to understand it and at the time you got to understand I'm the biggest artist in the world literally like like numbers wise this not opinion the top streaming artist in the world you know what I'm saying every week it was like and now the new top one song Charlotte haunted marketing department yeah no need to be fired yeah y'all dro the ball cuz y'all could have brought in several more dollars like real [ __ ] somebody need like that don't even make sense somebody need to be fired but I still hold the team down man it's all love you know what I mean we got I love the colors of the Jersey bro I had that starter jacket yeah I like how they let me park in Michael Jordan spot underground but other than that I could have did a little bit better rat beef you ever have rat beef nah I ain't one for that and what do you think about the the whole jcole apologizing to Kendrick thing like you thought that you think that helps or hurts the hip-hop culture not the rap culture the hip-hop culture I think at the end of the day like really really taking in like what I heard what I heard from it the from the Snippets of it that I heard because I don't know if I heard like the message that he put out on stage in his entirety but whatever whatever I did see like you know coming from a a person right who's who's also an artist but a person first you get what I'm saying because he's a person first if it affect your spirit you know what I'm saying and if it don't you know if it don't sit well with your spirit cuz that's what's most important you get what I'm saying so if it ain't sitting well with them you know then then I feel like you know it take it take a certain type of man a man a respectable man you get what I'm saying to leave it where it's at right there in the beginning and not be swayed by you know people on the outside who the the second something go left they going to jump ship on you in anyway so you know if if it ain't sit right with you you know what I'm saying disrespecting that man or dissing that man then yeah go on leave it alone now before it get too deep you know what I'm saying and it get to a place to where you can't where you can't take it back you think it'll ever get back to just competition where like for example Shaq verth the baby you say something o I say something without me going to Charlotte getting touched up or you coming here and have like you think it ever be I'm trying to get into it with you bro no no I ain't trying to get you [ __ ] no no no no I'm just saying like why you I think that's what it was with them two I don't think that would have I not nowhere nowhere in my mind do I feel like K would have got to some Gangsta [ __ ] I don't that's what I'm saying but as a fan though them two going at it because you know ain't nothing silly going to happen that should have been beautiful to listen to No for sure now music music wise like don't get me wrong like I was all for it you get what I'm saying it really fired me up it had me sitting back like boy I'm I want try me boy so I can demonstrate you know what I'm saying I want to rap I'm like I'm okay we rapping now you know what I'm saying like in a lot of my moments where I come with like with like some of the the craziest songs like just energy wise or just you know just just rapping with a certain tenacity it' be like it's somebody that made me mad somewhere you get what I'm saying it been a while since somebody made me mad so that's probably you know my music now we happy we we vibing the emotion coming you're like I need to get to the studio yeah you got to get it out you know what I'm saying a lot of us that's our Outlet you know what I'm saying and me like as a person who especially people who come from like a certain place or you know what I'm saying or or who who go through certain [ __ ] even you know where grown to or or work to get to we still go through you know I didn't I didn't went through the worst of my experiences at my most successful points in life you get what I'm saying so you know uh that music for people like me and I speak for myself like it's therapeutic you know what I'm saying more than anything like that's the outlet you know what I'm saying that's why me like a lot of songs when I make like pain music and and and [ __ ] like that like even Rockstar like that's a song with number one that's a song I didn't even really care the the fact that everybody in the world knew it that's the reason why I started performing it like because I made it during Co but by the time Co got off like I don't want to talk about how I felt when I when I was feeling you know what I'm saying when I was when I was down a year ago hell no I don't want to do cuz I got to relive it every time or like my brother committed suicide I made an entire EP dedicated to him and we'll be certain places we'll be out and about and people feel that right that that music really touch people really get people through [ __ ] we'll be out and about at a certain event somewhere people would play a song from it and somebody from you know what I'm saying from around there come up to him turn it off I put on something different like we don't want to be brought back into that space you get what I'm saying that's a real thing for us so you know at the end of the day like like as an artist you know what I'm saying like this is the music that's like a it's you go in the studio they beat that's a blank canvas and and US using our voice as like a paintbrush you know what I'm saying and we we paint these pictures and and you know we don't necessarily want to sit there and stare at them 247 you know what I'm saying we we create the art it does what it does for us we move on we create more we create more at the end of the day so I I don't know man uh for me that's what it is I speaking from from personal experience for me it's it's therapeutic man more than anything so the type of music I was hearing and you know and where I feel like it could have went cuz you and when you disrespect something that somebody didn't put this much work into to it come with real you know it's real [ __ ] that come with that and it's other it's a lot of people families it's a lot of families get fed by what they do so you know even if that person in particular ain't on a certain type of timeing you know what I'm saying you made it you take food off somebody else plate that is that they feed you get what I'm saying and that's a real serious person that'll really do something to you about I didn't even think about you talk about emotions like the first part about J.Cole other than like the apologizing and not sleeping well yeah is that he was like he got me going and I didn't even realize it and I couldn't control it that's what I'm saying get he was like I had to get it out and that's where that's what I like forget like the the beef and like you're going to attack each other the fact that you have two people that are so great at a craft are like let's just let's just go let's just see what can happen I want to see how quick your brain can work how quickly you can let out your emotions and then at the end we can be like you [ __ ] got me right but cuz when he said that it was like be back in the day yeah that's how it used to be yeah it was much more it was much more of a a sport within the within the the business you know what I'm saying I would like all rappers to have the WWE mandelli yeah like call like somebody calls him up on the side like let's [ __ ] do this cuz listen I I don't want to speak for yall but you want to focus on the craft you don't really want to get into all that other [ __ ] exact but if people think we going to get into this [ __ ] let's have a conversation let's and let's get it cracking you say something let me hear first I like that just don't say this line and I and we just go back and forth boom boom boom it's crazy you said that so look this like two days after the the situation took place this before jcole apologize matter of fact I got a call I won't say from who I got a call from a certain rapper it's like a lyri a Lyricist too like a a Lyricist you know what I'm saying I'm sure y'all know him if I said his name th% y'all know him right and uh and he I got a text from him he shot me a text he like yo he like hit me you gonna like this like hit me you gonna like this I called him I'm like what up he like he like what's up with it how you feeling I'm good what's up with it he like you want to go up how you feeling you want to go up I'm like what's up talk to me he say uh man all the the back and forth between uh uh jco and Kendrick got me fired up bro I feel like we should diss each other even know we cool behind closed doors we should diss each other you know what I'm saying we cool we know we cool whooop but bro I just feel like you to just go crazy and y y y and I told him I kind of like you know what I'm saying responding like the same I told him I'm like look I'm like I I know for a fact what that'll do right and I'm like at the same time it ain't it's a little more personal with me like I'm not I wouldn't even I'm not say certain things about you if I don't really feel a certain way about you you get what I'm saying and I told him I said that's out of respect for you you get what I'm saying I'm like cuz it's you know it can go it can go either which way like when me like I'm a you know you don't really want the smoke it wasn't even that what I was telling them even though I feel like don't nobody want that and see this beat made the [ __ ] diss me I'm playing but n like it ain't and it definitely wasn't like on the rap it's just that like to me like dissing somebody is like and that's why like immediately when you like you get into the rap I'm like nah not me because like I can't see I can't see you a a person a person like finding every which way to the you get what I'm saying the belittle belittle me make me feel some type of way offend me and then we still Coexist on a on a respectable level yeah you got to disrespect me you got to and I got to disrespect you and I'm not going to disrespect nobody that I got respect for like you get what I'm saying because of because of what come with it on my end from my world from the clo I'm cut from you get what I'm saying and I told him I'm just like nah I said I appreciate you thinking about me reaching out you know what I'm saying I appreciate it but nah bro like out of respect for you like I'mma pass on it and I came up with the theory because when I was a Youngster I always thought Hulk h and Andre the GI really hated each other like really and so when I get draft with Orlando Magic they're doing something Arena and we're doing like this dinner at my house and those [ __ ] the [ __ ] walked in together bro I was mad bro I was like the [ __ ] no I'm talking yeah I'm like bro [ __ ] walking together and I'm watching the whole night I'm like man I hope these [ __ ] don't tear my house out they laughing and G so finally asked when to do I said said man that [ __ ] ain't real I said oh I was mad as [ __ ] I like F I was like yo what the [ __ ] you mean it a real he like Shaq that's acting oh I was so mad so I be doing it too bro well I be out I know I know see it's a difference you know saying I've heard that story but your brain I know how your brain works I thought it was real but as soon as you realized it wasn't real I was pissed but I also know that you were like I can use this to my advantage I can so when did you start using that cuz I've heard the story before but I haven't thought about when Shaq went let me add that to my marketing Arsenal all the time so what was like the first one in Patrick Yuan David Robinson you just started creating rivalries I hate you [ __ ] but then when I see him like man you know this all I don't want no problem but obviously there the difference but when they they get up under that go he down there what he going to do he's still going to handle this [ __ ] what I'm saying see that ain't see that's what I'm I play a b f like bro it ain't nothing nice about me like when I don't like you like I want you to die like I'm a it's different like you like you can't this being and we it ain't going to work like that like even you know people around me like it ain't going to somebody going to see you and then it ain't going you feel me like we can't even do that bro I'm like we can't do it like that like I wouldn't even you know I would want to now if it come from a real place like I'm all about it like you get what I'm saying come from a real place okay it is what it is so all right so if sha record off you 20 million each oh we doing it I had that [ __ ] done today I do it right you got a mic I play the beat I do this [ __ ] right now I'll make it right now about him and call them like boy Shack them said they got 20 but they gonna give me 15 but I told him like with me man it had to come from a real place and I about that bag oh yeah we it's WWE you don't know this but I'm I'm definitely a fan of his music where he come from and all that when cancel culture attacked him I was the first one the first first to hit him up literally the first person reached out DM and I told him this two shall pass so it'll pass like you know like also told when you when you get to here that's when the people who don't have G14 classification but they have a voice because it's social media absolutely I think they can say whatever the [ __ ] they want I told him I said bro relax don't respond this to shall pass so how have you been since then man I've been good man I've been I've been holding it down it took me a to for that to really like resonate with me like through and through you get what I'm saying CU at the end of the day like I'm a person that's going to fight for what he believe in you know what I'm saying so in any situation like you know if I feel like I'm being taken out of context or my character is being attacked or or being you know what I'm saying described as something that is not like I stand on the principles that I stand on you know what I mean I'm also a person that takes my licks now if I do if I do do something you get what I'm saying if that's what I did if that's what it is I'm going I have no problem telling you that you know what I'm saying so it was kind of that's what I struggled with early on you know what I'm saying but since then I didn't definitely you know I didn't learn I didn't set set my ass down set back allow myself to learn okay look this how this go when you at this level in this business you know what I'm saying and that that go back to your question on when did I you know what I'm saying realize like I was fam not necessarily famous but how famous I was or you get what I'm saying the fact that I'm a international household name you know certain things I can't say publicly like it can travel a different way it can be received a different way you know what I mean uh I didn't definitely had enough time to really let that resonate with me and grow and and you know mature even more than before and and I'm just back you know so much more wise and and you know and and hungry all over again that's the beauty of it I love it like I'm hungry all over again but now I got an unlimited amount of resources you get what I'm saying I'm not trying to uh uh figure out where my next meal coming from or go get you know this person the house or this person the house go get myself a house get a house make sure my kids got something if it all go left today I done already did that so it's like the the playing field is even you know is lopsided you know a lot of people think like you know I'm in a position where like okay I'm I got to come back like not bro I'm blessed you know what I'm saying like from what I come from it's amazing bro you know what I'm saying it's a miracle so that's where I'm at right now you know I'm coming from a place of of gratitude and and you know just hungry than never you know what I'm saying my thing with cancer culture is where's the [ __ ] rule book yeah I need to see it cuz no offense to you our language is different than our language yeah definitely right right so so a lot of time when you say like I used to say a lot of those words that you supposedly can't say now and they W they were not deemed as derogatory then but now if you say certain words it like like the cancel culture comes up that's why I reach out to them I'm like bro this like you you already here jealousy kicking in now they want to bring you down here but knowing him and knowing his character I know he's going to get back back up to there so I'm I'm I'm I'm definitely happy for you I appreciate that appreciate you reaching out oh yeah I'm Glad You Came appreciate it you know Shaq when a clip of you goes on the internet we get a nice little group chat together and one was spreading of Matt Barnes telling that story story take a look Shaq was the funniest dude ever he used to with this dude named Lou Amison I don't know if people know but yeah yeah I remember Lou they had a back and forth thing and one time bro Shaq Jack put lose mouthpiece in his tights and put it up underneath his Nets what whoa got to throw hands I'm sorry big fell wa he didn't know put it in his oh come on bro if I'm lying I'm flying everyone knew but Lou so Shaq goes through a whole shoot around with Lou's mouthpiece under his nut sack no no put it back in his locker and then before the game like coaches be talking and lose always someone that's going to kind of get up put his mouth pie in Jump Around stretch cuz he's an energy dude bro he put that in his mouth everyone died L out on the ground but what can you I I feel what you say PG throw hands I feel it but that's sh back bro it might be a poite it might be a polite like listen Shaq man you got to put his tires on the flat or something not Lou adinon bro under for an entire okay do you remember it yes you do hold on what hold on what year is this it's 24 I play with the Phoenix 8 are we past the statute of limitations we are okay so we're good so we're good glad we're cleared now man no me me and Lou had this thing where we used to go back and forth so I used to mess with him but he was a tough kid so he'd come back so one time I had this pretty band that I just brought and everybody's looking at me crazy so as soon as I opened the door that [ __ ] was filled with peanuts he did that to you the whole van was filled with peanuts and I had to clean out everybody was laughing I was like oh y'all want to laugh at me okay watch this so one day I got to shoot around early and I saw his mouthpiece and I told everybody don't nobody say nothing so I just I was trying to put it in my thing and it got lost down that area and I couldn't find it I was like I don't know where it's at and then right before I take a shower I was like oh here it is and I just put it back and I told everybody won [ __ ] say nothing and then and so the moment happens he put it in his mouth before pregame and and the coaches were talking and everybody just start cracking out I just told everybody don't say nothing and he actually wor the whole game no yes you I thought the story that you were going to be like nah bro my bad no the whole game yeah and I told him the game I said hey man the way you play was nut so today you play with a lot of nut balls to the wall L yes you did yes it was great so he found out after the game yeah he found out after and then how did he react when he found out and then he quit he said man you win you win I was like I know I went oh so that ended the feud of course it ended so they they in that video were saying what are you going to do that Shaq man I am the 50 center of the NBA you mess with me and I'm coming for you have they they said you can't do anything cuz Shaq yeah cuz why cuz I was known to touch people up in the locker room if they tried if they didn't obey the rules you got to understand when I come in there's only one Chief period I remember when I first got to Orlando manager Scott scy was like oh man you need to lift these bags I say you got me [ __ ] up but even Phoenix yes I am bro any team I play for I was a man only team that wasn't a man for I relinquished my position when I got to Miami cuz I was older and I was tired what about Cleveland and Boston well no Cleveland actually LeBron was probably the best leader young leader I've seen and I was kind of jealous of him because he got to do stuff I can never do like coach would be like hey man we practicing the 10 LeBron be like no we practicing 12 all right practice the 12 and I was like God damn like he get to bring his family members on the plane and people on the plane so I was like I I've been a man for a long time I never really had this much power so but uh Cleveland no Boston no cuz I was older you know my way but any other team it was my way or the Fist Way all right so then I have two things cuz I want to get back to that LeBron cuz I have never heard you talk about that before but in terms of people stepping to you do you remember the first time somebody thought oh I can I can confront Shaq cuz he's not a lot of time see me and Scott Sky had a brawl one time in LA because listen it was it was no secret I was a party animal but I can party because I don't drink and still perform so we in La one day and we got 3 days off and we're practicing and I'm like we went to a Magic Johnson party night before so I'm not doing nothing in practice I'm like y'all shoot and then Scott got get up you making all this money you acting like a diva I was like Scott you better get out my face so he charged me so I just stepped back took his little head push it down hit him with that upper car B and then Larry kovak tried to jump on my back D Scott jumped on his back that was that was just one of the BRS I can't talk about the Laker brawls cuz the uh statue of limitations isn't up yet that will be season two of the big pod when the statute of limitation ends and we get to hear some of those you remember uh you remember when Udonis hen was here the rookie deril was talking me and him was fighting naked in the shower and UD was like man I about to break up two necked dudes fighting in the shower he just kept talking I was like bro you say something else to me young fell well that's my boy boo d right was there ever anybody on any team that it never step to you but you were like you had so much like were you ever on like meta world peace or anybody like that that you you thought oh man this would actually be a crazy fight if it went down I wasn't looking for a fight I know you weren't no so like when you put somebody's mouthpiece in your balls yeah but that was a joke man I'm just playing Hardy that a that's a joke one person and it wasn't in my balls it was under my balls true yes you can't put nothing in your balls under all right I don't know what you to think to to the LeBron thing so what did what did you think about playing with LeBron was going to be like and then what was it like when you actually got there I wish we I could would have met two years earlier cuz we were actually in number one we were number one seed you were the number one seed in the playoffs yeah I was a role player and then [ __ ] big baby broke my hand so I had to sit out six weeks and then when I came back I was all out of rhythm out of shape and we we lost to Boston but I think if I have met him two years earlier we definitely could have won definitely but again like as I said when we we were there we were number one in the east no nobody could beat us but you know out of the lineup back in the lineup and you know we just didn't have to really what was it like letting him be the leader he was actually really good at it yeah I mean like like you can't do that everywhere like he's brown I know I'm a Shaq but I'm I'm the Shaq that has ruled many continents and is on his way out so I'm just really coming in to be an advisor to him never had to say anything like the way he ruled was like actually actually perfect and again he had so much power in that organization power that I never had I was like damn man I wish I thought of that you know wish I can do that but it was really good to play with really great guy really great player if you open he going to get it to you he going to get it to you so that's why you know when they talk about LeBron being one of the best ever I do agree but you know the the numbers will always be you know skew whether who's one two or three and it's a great conversation to to be in like I wish I was in that goat conversation but I realize that life is about category so I own many categories when it come to the NBA but I wish I was in that greatest of all time category when you come to a new team cuz you're so big you're bigger than life is it like on somebody like LeBron to kind of establish how everything works well when I was younger it was it was corporate takeovers it was cool I don't care who was like when I got to the Lakers it was Nick Van Eddie and those guys this my [ __ ] exactly it ain't nothing to talk about this my [ __ ] when I got to Orlando number one pick all the old guys no really other big name SS this is my [ __ ] you know when I got to Phoenix I just kind of you know fizzled and when I got to Miami this my [ __ ] however young fell is a special kind of player it's your [ __ ] if you need me I'll be on Star Island I like this you really have played with some great players I have well you're good at scouting Talent that's what I do baby that's why I got four I love that GM was there ever a prank that you Reg reget it can't tell you okay we'll have D Scott come on the podcast and tell you magic one time I went to the bathroom and something happened with some tissue and a shoe and Guy play in it the whole game I'm realizing now that if I ever get pranked by Shaq I'm not going to find out for hours he's me by the way you've been sitting in my [ __ ] for the last two hours on the chair like what I am a prankster baby my pillow was filled with my dogs urine yeah oh yeah it was one guy yes I didn't do it thank you cousin Kenny it was one guy who kept bothering us in La I think it was a video game guy he he had this Ferrari so he would come by and show off so he leaves and then he come back and he said hey man somebody put [ __ ] in my Ferrari so one of my guys said hey man maybe a dog climbed in there ain't no [ __ ] dog going to climb in a $400,000 Ferrari take a [ __ ] somebody put a big piece of [ __ ] right in the middle of his I don't know who did it because you uh helped build the kingdom that is the Lakers Kingdom anytime something's going on with that team people want to hear you chime in as someone that is on Twitter after every Lakers game fans are always calling out Darvin ham when we first started doing this podcast after the inseason tournament people were questioning them then there's this video I don't know if you've seen it take a look where he's talking to the team and they're all walking away um fans that one of their biggest issues is like substitutions and the and the the teams that he puts out there sometimes putting out guys and not ruy Aura who's been successful can you tell if the team is no longer buying in first of all who cares they weren't paying attention good Insight in what way like for example if if we've been partners for years if you're tell me we're going over a segment that we rehearsed 10 times you can still talk about but I already know it exactly so when he's coming in he probably call the play 15 down they know the play you don't have to be there all Studios like they know the play really set that screen they know what you got to do so I I can take that both ways okay great question they're either like man I don't want to hear that and I've been like that a lot of times like I'm I like coach used to call the player I used to be like man [ __ ] that we not running that we not run it get the ball to me they going to double I'm going look for Kobe first hopefully he swings it and whoever got the shot take the [ __ ] shot we're not running that [ __ ] play so like you you have to do that sometime and then you know other times he already said to play we know to play now you got to get your thoughts together like damn I went Baseline didn't work maybe if I go back like you got to get your thoughts together like every team does that like you know so then what are in your mind like what are the signs you're looking for to see if a team is no longer buying in is it certain types of quotes in a press conference like what could we look for to actually know and not overread something well I'm always looking at the coach you know my my favorite statement is if the general doesn't panic then the troops won't Panic if you if your team goes on the run if the other team goes in a run and you call a timeout that's telling me yourself you don't have confident in your team Phil Jackson used to always look at us like I'm not calling a [ __ ] timeout figure it out so that that's the first thing I'm looking for second thing I'm looking for is you know when it's out of- bound situation where a bucket is needed I'm looking at the play call like okay did he call the right play did they execute the play that would tell me if the players really have respect for what he's calling and if they really want to you know win or not so I look at a lot of things but like that that little like you can find yeah yeah you can find that clip on any team and then you know the teams that's really really studious and paying attention they're not the top teams anyway because the top teams that have top players we are going to do what the hell we want to do anyway despite what the say there are times this year where I'll watch the Celtics and they're all kind of in their own world and sometimes it might be Drew holiday talking to them like you'll see the player sometimes take that over too you're right cuz it's I mean these are grown men we're not in college you know this isn't a classroom anymore and then you practice and they shoot around so and this is going into the playoffs the muscle memory is there when you call a play I already know what I got to do I don't have to sit there the whole 60c time and I watch you draw the play I know the play now I got to get into my own thoughts okay if I try to set this screen on Joker he may run through it he got five files maybe if I set the screen get there early and he hit me he can file out like like you have to you know think about different things you just can't be sitting there and going the other the follow-up Lakers question is do you think Darvin ham will be there more long term or do you think it might be coming to an end what's your Vibe I don't like talking about coaches I don't know I don't have any idea however if the Lakers lose changes will be made I know that for a fact that's just the way the Lakers operate they don't accept that stuff that's that that's just the way they operate you know this stored franchise historical franchise and we're used to winning we're all about winning and you know ever since that bubble Championship has been kind of up and down so changes will definitely be made yeah [Music] Charlotte haunted marketing department somebody need to be fir
