hey Deckers cyberpunk version 2 is here and you've seen the comparison already I hope if not check that out after this one but it was a little bit more difficult than we thought to get a very stable frame rate that didn't look absolutely horrible but we managed to get pretty close to 40 frames per second most of the time and we will share the best settings in just a second but as you can see from here it's looking pretty good and we'll go through some of the other presets and why these are the best settings following on same the best settings that we found so far is to cap the in-game frame rate to 40 frames per second under the video tab with the vsync off so enable that maximum FPS and then in the graphic slider change the quick reset to medium and then we're gonna fiddle with the settings a fair amount here turning down the local Shadow quality cascaded Shadows range cascaded Shadows resolution and distant Shadows resolution and volumetric block resolution all to low as well as Ambi inclusion down to low keeping everything else as it was on that Medium preset and then if you do want to change the motion blur off you'll see that with motion blur it still is a little bit over the top you'll see some streaming issues with the textures which we have reported hopefully they fix this soon but it's much worse on other modes which I'll show you in a little while but you can see some of these Shrubbery really struggling to render pop in on it is really really bad but you are going to want to turn that motion blur off for the most part and keep the FSR on auto if you didn't catch that as I went through so 40 CAP auto fsr2 and a few tweaked medium settings and you'll see for the most part we will hold around 40 frames per second now this will still dip there is new settings that we've managed to find to keep this above 40 frames per second in all circumstances but this is the best looking and most stable overall Now by popular demand let's have a look at the RPM and battery settings here so this will set around the 85 degrees mark pushing that fan around the 7200 to 7 300 RPM and Ultra a five-star Chase it's still sitting around the same so before I kick off that chase and show Absolutely Mayhem it's a quick look at the steam deck reset I know a lot of people were thinking that this was going to be a lot better well it does look like it to be in with but it can't even hold 30 frames per second and I did turn the motion blur off on the preset as well because it was on high and it really looked horrible as you can see just from basic areas especially with some Shrubbery around it really does struggle even if you wanted cap it at 30 frames per second and we still get these pop-in issues but when people are up close and personal you see even dips down into the mid-20s and is really not a great experience on the steam deck at all so still not recommending the steamed up preset what you will notice is that it is slightly better on the power draw and keeps that fan a little bit lower but you really are dipping frames per second a hefty amount of course you can turn FSR off and put it down to the lowest graphic settings which for the most part driving around does look absolutely incredible even the low settings but not having the FSR on or blur really does look good and it does start to look like in some of the areas that we hold a better frame rate unfortunately this is a bit of a misdirection as soon as we go back into these other areas the frame rate not only tanks but the streaming issues are tenfold just look how bad all of the environment looks here with the low settings and we're still dipping under 30 frames per second because we don't have the help of that FSR so I don't recommend low settings in any combination it really does not look good so keeping our recommended settings we head into a hefty police chase and show off some of the vehicle combat while we're at it we do start dipping down into the 30 FPS range but it's more than manageable everything looks fantastic and we can shoot police cars while we're driving down the road and make them flip over lucky that there's a bumper in the middle of the road there I thought it was a well-timed shot but I'll take it anyway however I get to power for a roadblock instead so you did see it dip under the 20 there very briefly however this is an issue no matter what you have some loading Spike areas especially as you go into New City sections where it loads lots of buildings and decals Etc but it is very brief and still for the most part you can see it's covering off over that 30 Mark so these are the best settings that we found so far and we'll give you the best playthrough you are still going to need to find a power source fairly quickly though as it is drawing around 30 Watts now you're not going to have a huge amount of a Time on battery let us know in the comments below if you're gonna be diving into cyberpunk V2 certainly worth having a go and getting your characters ready for France and Liberty and yes we'll be looking at Phantom Liberty very soon thanks for watching and see in the next one
