[Music] [Music] Bible says make a joyful noise unto all a serve the Lord with gladness says cut before his presence with singing know ye that the Lord he is God it is he that hath made us not we ourselves we are his people and the Sheep of his pasture then he says the community worship sent to enter into his gates with Thanksgiving and enter into his courts with praise be thankful unto Him but I wonder if we ought to be thankful folk in the building today be thankful unto Him and bless his name why why why why why for the Lord he is good his mercies everlasting his truth endures through all generation how many glad that God kept today sweep how many glad to be in the land of the living I always say it's better to be in the earth that order you're there to be in the earth of all say Amen we praise God we praise God for what our hearts have experienced already in song we praise the Lord for our praise team disappointing [Music] certainly grateful our sound technicians cameraman to our musicians but the eyes god bless you good to see each and every one of you thank you for the kind words of introduction I am so glad to be here at community worship center once again you may not remember me but I remember you because I'm still full from the last time I came in worship at this church amen to your pastor my good friend and confidant dr. Abraham Jules I am certainly grateful for another opportunity to stand in the pulpit that God trusted to him and to his beautiful wife and children I heard his son singing today praise the law man we are certainly glad to be here we came in from Charlotte our plane landed there just before midnight last night got to the hotel around 1:00 a.m. so please excuse me for my tardiness I don't know what's gonna happen today I feel a little weary praise the Lord but I'm certainly glad to be with you I'm glad to have my beautiful wife my best friend the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life amen to be worshiping with me today and we are certainly grateful if you would take your Bibles with me and turn to the Gospel according to Matthew Matthew's Gospel and there I want us to read from chapter 16 Matthew chapter 16 and let's look to verse 23 Matthew chapter 16 and verse 23 and when you found it I please invite you to stand with me as we read God's Word today Matthew chapter 16 in verse 23 let the Holy Spirit speak to you as we read this singular versus afternoon the Bible says but he Jesus turned and said unto Peter get thee behind me Satan thou art an offence unto B for thou savourest not the things that be of God but those that be of men again Jesus turned and said unto Peter get thee behind me Satan thou art an offence unto me for thou favors not the things that be of God that those that be of me that's pretty today under the topic you better recognize father the name of Jesus certainly it is once mourn again that we stand in your presence needing a word from you our hearts have already been watered by song and by prayer and by our giving and by our worship but now Lord as we sit at your feet we pray that you added parts of those truths that may have been forgotten and even truths we may not have known or understood please wash me and cleanse me one more time to be used as an instrument of your peace I pray that you'd give me a special anointing today that makes preaching easy help us to hear your Holy Spirit so that we can have the mind in us that was also in Christ Jesus we promise to give you all the praise honor and glory in this for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever more and all God's people said a man as you go down till your neighbor you better recognize [Music] Dwight Lehman Moody also known as DL moody was a 19th century American evangelist and publisher connected with the holiness movement in one of his reflections he said that I was once condemned conducting a rap session with high school teenagers and I told them that they could ask me any questions on any subject and I would try and answer it he said their questions were typical of ones I had received in similar sessions scores of times before but as the session drew to a close one girl toward the back who had not said anything raised her hand and I nodded and acknowledged her and she said the Bible says that God loves everybody then it says that God sends people to hell how can a loving God do that he said I gave her my answer and she came back to me with arguments and I answered her arguments and she answered my answers the conversation quickly degenerated into an argument I did not convince her nor did she convince me he said after a few more questions I dismissed the session and after the session I approached her and said I owe you an apology I really should not have allowed our discussion to become so our meant to tip and then he said I asked may I share something with you and she said yes so I took her through a simple presentation of the gospel and when I got to Romans chapter 3 and verse 23 has suggested that all of us are sinners she began to cry it was then that this high school senior admitted that she was having an affair with a married man the one thing she needed was forgiveness and when I finished the presentation of the gospel she trusted Christ as her Savior the reason she did not believe in Hell was because she was going there in her heart she knew that she had sinned her conscience condemned her but rather than facing the guilt she simply denied any future judgment or future hell many in our world today are like this young lady many tried to deny the existence and the reality that we have a hell to shun and a glorious heaven to gain many think that the devil is not real neither are his demons so many have convinced themselves that maybe if I just don't think about him he will go away but the day I stopped by to let you know that the devil is real and he is not to be played with and if we're not careful we may let him into our homes and our lives unaware but I've stopped by today to tell you you better recognize one author while discussing angels concluded that because of society's fascination with movies such as The Exorcist the whole subject of angels has been associated with fairy tales fables and Hollywood production even today there are people with strong religious convictions who doubt the reality of angels and the danger is that without an accurate understanding of biblical spirituality it becomes more than easy to fall victim for ideas that sound exotic and appealing but are really dangerous or at best missing according to the Word of God there are angels in our midst right now but it's important that we realize and recognize that not all so not all our supernatural forces are good and that not all angels are angels of God Paul warns us that Satan transforms himself into an angel of light and is able to deceive many people including church leadership and church laity Paul warned the Ephesian Church by telling them that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers against the rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness in high places there is a danger that while many people talk about guardian angels not a whole lot of folk can distinguish between an angel of darkness and an angel of light that's why if you go to Barnes and Nobles or amazon.com you will find more literature on demons you would find more literature on the underworld and the occult so you would find more literature on ghosts and on the devil that you will find about the holy angels of the Almighty God it is true in these last days men and women boys and girls seem to love darkness more than they love legs when you look at the television I remember growing up when around this time of year as Halloween starts to come clothes that you would see a whole lot of these demonically charged movies being displayed and advertised on television but but now it seems that from January to December all you see is these new ways to play on the devil's territory and Christians think that is okay to the ship for an hour and 45 minutes in that atmosphere under that anointing and they think that it's okay it's a sad day when we as Christians don't see anything wrong with Halloween is just candy is just trick-or-treating is just knocking on doors and who we were what has happened to us there's an old hymn that says take the world but give me Jesus but many in our society today seems to say take Jesus but give me the world but the Word of God teaches that angels are real there are evil angels that follow Satan they're called demons in Revelation 12 and for lets us know that the dragon the devil took one-third of the angels with him when he was kicked out of heaven these are demons they are dark angels these are the ones who are on special assignments to give you hell some of you walk in here on Sabbath saying boy the devil really beat me down this week you haven't met the devil yet those are just his demons those are the one-third that followed him out of heaven oh but the good news for us today is that there are the two-thirds who follow God and is anybody glad this morning and does anybody ought to give God praise right now that for every one demon the devil sends you away God has at least two angels to send to your rescue you might call them terrible you might call them Seraphim but all I know is that these powerful ministering spirits appear all through Bible history here and I'm so glad that the lord encamps around those thats here [Music] in our text today in our text today Jesus was talking to his disciples about his impending death the Bible says I hope your Bibles are open for a sermon is nothing but an elaborated Bible study and the Bible says in Matthew chapter 16 and verse 21 clear your throat lift your voice and read with me Matthew chapter 16 and verse 21 the Bible says that from that time forth Jesus began to work Schultze his disciples how that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer how many things of the and and and be what and on the so so so so he is telling the disciples that he is soon to die and he is immediately rebuked by Peter rivers 22 which Peter bottle says then who and did what saying this shall not be now y'all gotta see this thing something strange happens in verse 23 the Bible says but he Jesus did what and said unto get thee behind me yelling catch there the Bible says that Jesus turned unto and said get thee behind me thou art in why-why-why 4 thou but now I want us to focus our thoughts on verse 23 today because it is in this first that Jesus exposes the reality that Satan does not always show up in the manner we expect him to at this moment Peter demonstrated remarkable boldness by trying to rebuke Jesus Peter he did it privately the Bible says he took him aside in verse 22 and Peter was confident enough to tell Jesus that he was wrong considering going to Jerusalem to be killed but how did we get to this point it was in this very chapter Matthew chapter 16 a few verses ago that we see that Peter confesses Jesus as the Messiah we see that Jesus complements Peter telling him that God revealed this to him Jesus said in verse 18 and 19 Dessau art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it sir he said I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever thou bind on earth shall be bound in heaven so ever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven Jesus was speaking about his impending suffering death and resurrection and Peter feels that this isn't right he feels as if he hears from God and therefore has some authority to speak now if Peter believes that Jesus is who he says he was that the Son of God then we can infer that surely Peter was confident that God told him that he was right and Jesus was wrong the danger was that Peter was far too confident in his ability to hear from God but I wonder how comfortable I could get in Community Worship Center today because I listen I'm careful of those who came to me and tell me what the Lord told me to tell you yeah yeah yeah we you know how we begin to expression in this time of year when we're doing nominated committee and folks say where the Lord told me to tell you I told one elder you tell the Lord to talk to me because I spoke to him this morning careful of those who try to manipulate you and say well God told me in a dream and and God told me to tell you some folk I just took confident and while they think they hear from God they're hearing their own flesh any time here it is here's the formula anytime someone or something tells you that Jesus was wrong in anything you are hearing the voice of Satan you better recognize yeah what Peter said didn't line up with the scriptures what Peter said was in contradiction to the spiritual authority over him and so Jesus response was classic get thee behind me Satan this was a strong rebuke from Jesus yet it was entirely appropriate even though just a moment before Peter spoke as a messenger of God but a few moments later he spoke as a messenger of Satan jesus knew that there was a satanic purpose in discouraging him from his ministry on the cross and Jesus would not allow that purpose to succeed looking back we'd know that Peter was not a weird that he was that he was a spokesperson for Satan just as a moment before he was not aware that he spoke for God but what I want you to realize today CWC is that it is much easier to be a tool of God or of the devil that we want to believe some of us don't want to do any work for God because we feel as if we are not qualified so some of us think that you've got to be in church for for eons and you've got to have so many theological degrees and you've got to understand and remember every punctuation mark from Genesis to Revelation in order for God to use you but I'm so glad today that God does not call the qualified but God qualifies who he calls her is anybody glad today that God uses ordinary people to share his gospel God uses you and me messed up though we be but he fills us with this spirit have I got a witness in the building and he sends you out and why I'm going out god is fixing me Wow I'm going out god is cleansing me while I'm teaching the word I'm learning the word wow I'm praying for you God a witness in a meal [Music] it's not as hard for God to use you as some of us try to make it in but in the same token hear me today it is not as hard for the devil to use you either there is a danger that some of us because we preach well or sing well we think that every word that flows with our mouth comes from God and there's a danger we see it in the text that you can be used by God to sing on Sabbath morning but then used by the devil on Sunday at board meeting that's why the Apostle Paul warns us by saying wherefore let him that think he standeth take heed lest he Peter's problem wasn't that he was trying to protect Jesus his problem was that he was trying to pilot Jesus he wants to be in charge and anytime someone wants to control the plan of God from being fulfilled you are hearing the voice of Satan get thee behind me Satan and Jesus exposed how Peter came to this satanic way of thinking he didn't make a deliberate choice to reject God and to embrace singing watch this beloved he simply let his mind settle on the things of men instead of the things of God and Satan took advantage of it here it is kind of let you know beloved that it is so easy especially in this climate in this Christian season that we're going through right now it is so easy if we're not careful for us to settle our minds on to think of the enemy and not the things of God well we got one foot in the world and one foot in the church it makes it so much more easier for the devil to use you when you're in church on sabbath but in the club saturday night it makes it just a little more easier for the devil to use you many of us are being tools of the enemy because we're playing in the river on the bank with God but it's not as hard as we think for the devil to users either Eutychus is a prime example of the spiritual standing of the Christian Church today we're in the window so that we can see what's going on in the church but we can also see what's going on in the world the Bible says that yuccas while he's in the window falls asleep I mean if you're gonna sleep at least come inside please fall asleep on the pillow I somebody I'll do it if you fall I'd rather fall in the pillow then fall in the window anybody know what I'm talking about today he's in the window and he falls asleep and you noticed that when he falls he doesn't fall in the turkey falls to his death peter is the perfect example of how sincere heart coupled with man's thinking can often lead to disaster this is why the devil tries so hard to keep your mind off the things of God he wants to isolate you so he can infiltrate you he wants to distract him so he can destroy you he wants to attract you to the dark side so he can attack you and you'll work so hard all week long trying to keep up with the Joneses and you'll buy things you don't need when the money you don't have to impress people you don't even like something is happening to the Christian Church when I read my Bible when God showed up to the presence of Moses he and he decided to possess a bush a mere tumbleweed in the wilderness and when he's when his voice started to speak to Moses he said take the shoes off your feet Moses for the ground on which you're standing is holy God when he saw Joshua the banks of jericho he told him the same thing take the shoes from off your feet Joshua for the ground on which you're standing is holy but we have become so arrogant that we can text message in the presence of God we can be on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram while we're having church and then we say I don't hear from God he's not that God isn't speaking is that you're not listening to the Christian Church well we have gone arrogant stay up all night Friday night can't go to sleep so you turn on 3abn it puts you to sleep and then you come to church and you try to listen to the Word of God and just when God has a special word for you that will give you life you start dozing off some of us we let depression keep you out of the house of God and here it is you only feel depressed when you're doing something you know is wrong depression is your conscience and the spirits trying to guilt you into doing the right thing you can't be living with somebody you're not married to and having sex ed and participating in the pleasures that Maher couple of sponsor and then just not expect to feel depressed because your conscience is condemning you can't keep participating in drugs and alcohol and just feel normal your conscience will condemn you if ever we need to be in the house of God beloved is when we're down it's when we're depressed is when we're distressed and when you're dead tired anybody ever came into the house weary and shackled by a heavy burden a beneath a load of guilt and shame but then the hand of Jesus touched you and now you're no longer the same today beloved I want you to recognize the urgency of the hour in which we're living uh I want you to recognize the attacks of the enemy when he throws them at you I want you to recognize the fact that the enemy is real if you don't know how to fight the devil because you don't recognize him take a moment take a moment right there right now imagine what the devil looks like what do you see many of you see a man with the red suit and red horns and a three-prong pitchfork and that's what the devil wants you to see because as long as you keep looking out for a man with a red suit and red horns and a pitchfork you're not going to see him when it comes in a miniskirt and pink pumps as long as you keep looking for a man in a red suit they won't see him when he shows up with a three-piece suit and a shirt and a tie as long as you keep looking for a man with a red suit and red horns and a pitchfork you won't see him when he shows up as a leader of a corporation or organisation or even a church you better recognize he will show up and offer you things you want he will show up and offer you things you need him he will show up and hold you the way you like to be held up he would show up and tell you the words you'd like to hear he will show up and cook the food you like to eat and if you don't recognize him will say come on in instead of get thee behind me up he'll take you further then you plan to go he'll keep you longer then you plan to stay up he'll cost you more then your plan to pay have I got a witness in here you better recognize while you're looking for a man in a red suit with the pitchfork listen to how my favorite offer describes him when she saw him envision Ellen White's hairs and mine character and personality Varney 1 page 24 she says Satan is watching that he may find a mine in an unguarded moment and gets so good possession of it we do not want to be ignorant of his devices neither do we want to be overpowered by his devices listen she says he is pleased with the pictures that represents him as having horns and hooves for he has intelligence he was once an angel of light she says story of redemption chapter 1 page 13 Lucifer in heaven before his rebellion was a high and exalted angel next in honor to God's dear son his countenance like those of other angels was mild and expressive of happiness his forehead high and broad showing powerful intellect his form was perfect his bearing noble and majestic a special light beamed in his countenance and shone around him brighter and more beautiful than around the other angels yet Christ God's dear son had the preeminence over all the angelic hosts he was one with the father before the angels was created Lucifer was envious of Christ and gradually assumed command which devolved to Christ alone and finally she says in the book early writings chapter 35 page 153 I was shown Satan as he once was a happy exalted angel then I was shown him as he now is here me today he still bears a kingly form his features are still noble for he was an angel fallen but the expression of his countenance is full of anxiety care and unhappiness malice hate ship deceit and every evil that brow which was once so noble I particularly noticed his forehead commenced from his eyes to recede I saw that he had so long been himself to evil that every good quality was debase and every evil trick was developed his eyes were cunning sly and showed great penetration his frame was large but the flesh hung loosely about his hands and face she says as I beheld him his chin was resting upon his left hand he appeared to be in deep thought a smile was upon his countenance which made me tremble it was so full of evil and satanic slyness this smile is the Spillers is the one he wears just before he makes sure of his victim and as he fastens his victim and it's there his smile grows horrible but here's the good news for us today the good news is that the devil was defeated in heaven oh I mean it gets better than that he was defeated in heaven and then defeated on earth at the cross the good news the Bible says in Revelation 12:17 9 and there was war in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon and the dragon fought and his angels and verse 8 says had prevailed not anybody glad about that today and neither was their place found any more in heaven and the Dragon was cast out that old serpent called the devil and Satan which deceives the whole world he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him he got whooped so bad that Luke 10:18 says and I said unto their IBL saying like lightning fall from heaven but here's the sobering part for us in 2018 revelation 12:12 says therefore rejoice ye heavens because he's not there anymore and either throwing them but woe to the inhabiters of the earth that's us and of the seed for the devil is compound unto you having great wrath because he knows he has but a short time the devil is here the devil is on earth the devil hear me today hear me today the devil does not live in Hell because the Bible teaches us that hell is not a place where my Advent is ground y'all talk to me in this building hell is not a place hell is an event the devil the Bible teaches is on earth Peter Sellers he roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour the devil is on earth hell is a moment how happens after a thousand years in heaven and the new city the New Jerusalem comes down and the devil and his imps and everybody that is lost they are convinced to overtake the new city and then God's on mingle wrath Falls that is hell hell is not eternally burning furnace when a person dies they wait in the grave when Jesus comes again the trumpet shall sound the dead in Christ shall rise we who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air the righteous data will be resurrected this corruptible shall put on incorruption this mortal shall put on immortality the righteous will spend eternity with Jesus but the wicked the Bible says will be raised at the third resurrection and it is then when they try to overtake the holy city that's what hell's fire will come and nail 1-9 teaches us that iniquity would not rise a second time God is getting ready to knock the hell out of this world God is getting ready to eradicate sin forever and if sin is still in you and if sinister than me he will have no choice but to extinguish us - but thank God for the blood of Jesus I said thank God for the blood of Jesus it reaches to the highest mountain it flows through the lowest ever got a witness in the building it's the blood that gives me strength from day today [Music] Oh y'all sit down are you ready to preach it are you ready to freakin still teaching them I'm still teaching the Bible sir Peter says be sober vigilant because your adversary the devil some of you church folk don't know who your adversary is Peter has to be clear it doesn't say your adversary the deacon doesn't say your adversary the elder doesn't say your adversary the past he says your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about on earth seeking whom he may devour this is a really matter how the devil looks because the Bible says he can transform and conform himself into any image to get you to fall I can't stand y'all forgive me you know this might sound insensitive and maybe even ignorant but y'all forgive me office conversation of what color was Jesus I'm gonna come to preach about this but can I just talk about it for one minute as we're concerned and here here it is let me let me let me let me ease the tension just for a second before I say what I gotta say I do believe now sound I'm saying you have to believe this but I believe based on my personal Bible study that Jesus was colored but when I mean history tells us that ancient Egyptians were colored and the Bible teaches us that they hid Jesus in Egypt now if I'm trying to hide my baby I'm not gonna hide a white baby in Blackheath [Applause] revelation describes them of half as having feet of brass and eyes like fire and here like wool so I don't know what the other commentators believe I don't know why all the television cartoons and movies have Jesus with long flowing hair and blue eyes I don't know where they got that from my study shows that he's colored alright now that I make you happy let me make your man but so what and why we worried about what color Jesus is all i care is was his blood rain hey hey did he die for my sins have I got a ticket into eternity that's what I care about it's a part of me part of me hopes part of me hopes that when we make it over there and we get to heaven part of me hopes that he was like oriental or something but part of me hopes that that he has a Chinese kind of just to see how many of us are silly enough to miss out on eternity because of the color of his skin but why we're so concerned about what color Jesus is you need to be concerned about what kind of Satan is I keep hearing from us what color is Jesus I never heard nobody ask boy what color is Lucifer and that's why some of us let him right into our house [Music] Paul says Paul says and no Marvel for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light Jesus recognizes Satan and was able to put him in his place in Matthew 4 and 8 the Bible says that Satan took Jesus up to an exceeding high mountain and offered Jesus what his Heavenly Father had already given him Satan was already is always jumping in front of the pan of God in an attempt to offer God's people less than what God promised them and if you're not careful if you don't know who you are and who you are if you don't recognize who the devil is he'll fool you every time you better recognize Jesus had enough strength to say get thee hence Satan for it is written thou shalt worship the Lord God and him only shalt thou serve then the devil the Bible says leaveth him and the old angels came and ministered unto Him and so today is our clothes you got a choice to make and I want to close by exposing the plan of God for your life and then I want to expose the devil's plan for your life because you have to recognize the difference between the two and you have to make a conscious decision if you believe it say hey man the Bible says turn-turn will be John chapter 10 verse 9 and 10 curl your throat lift your voice and read with me all John chapter 10 verses 9 and 10 it turned there quickly John chapter 10 verses 9 and 10 Jesus is speaking Luo what he says read with me everybody says I am by me if he shall be and shall go and find and then he says verse 10 the thief cometh not but for to an to you and to but I Jesus am come that they might and they might beloved the Word of God is clear God's plan for you is to have life but not just to have life but to have it more abundantly just take a moment and look back over your life take a moment and think things over and you could testify that God has been away maker miracle worker promise keeper God has been a company keeper God has been a shelter in the time of storm I don't have forgot a witness in the building huh he's dried your tears he's opened doors that were closing your face up he put food on your table he let your enemies leave you alone when nobody was by your side huh God was there protecting you when you lost your job you didn't lose your house when the money was not coming in you still ate everyday have you got more clothes in your closet that you can wear in a year God has been good to you I said God has been good to you God has opened many doors for you God has made many ways for you every good and perfect gift it comes from above God is desire for you to have life huh tell your neighbor to live her tell you me believe more abundantly that's God's plan for you to have life and have it more abundantly but today I want you to recognize that God and Satan have two totally opposite plans for your life because while God stills you Satan rushes you well God we a choice here Satan frightens you while God leads you're sayin pushes you well God enlightens you saying confuses you when God forgives you Satan condemns you when God calls you Satan stresses here when God encourages you Satan discourages you when God comforts you Satan where is you God and the devil have two totally different plans for your life huh his plan is to kill to steal and destroy yeah and the devil has invaded our schools the devil has invaded our government tubs the devil has invaded the media and some of us bring them right into our homes because we don't recognize him and we don't recognize his plane you're just too good it's just too spiritual and to Holy Ghost feel you're just too heavenly minded that you can't even recognize the devil but I want to expose that dirty rascal today it's obvious that the decay of our country in our world is rapidly speeding up the dark trickle of singing are everywhere it started with the discussion of evolution versus creation did God create the world or did we slowly evolved was there some big bang there man evolved from a glob to a fish to a monkey to an ape-like creature till the specimen we are today and this debater has occupied the national discussion and it has become the hot topic at school for years now if I were the devil I would try to get God out of the conversation in school if I were the devil I would try to get God out of the curriculum if I were the devil I would try to make it look as if there is no God and that science has all the answers because you don't have to be accountable to a God that does not exist you can be a law unto yourself but the Word of God teaches us that we're not alone in the universe there is a God in heaven and a devil on earth and yet that idea is coming under increasing attack people try to erase God in an attempt to avoid being obedient to him and here are the results we've got a world that is being run by corrupted leaders you want to know how I know we're living in the last days because the Bible says the truck shall sound [Applause] boy the Trump has been sounding as he never time I hear Trump I hit a voice of Lucifer am I talking anybody how the trap shall sound we have we are living in a world that is dying of starvation while many of us waste and the food to feed them and 1 percent of America's Society has enough to feed the whole world and to solve the hunger problem we are living in the last days racism is still an issue men are marrying men and women are marrying women we can't get justice for our children being gunned down on the streets in cold blooded murder there is so much confusion in the world today peace has turned to fighting and love has turned to hate the only hope for the world is Jesus the only help for the earth ax is a touch from God and when we've abandoned God you can't abandon God without choosing the devil there is no middle ground is either God or the devil heaven or hell light or darkness and our nation by rejecting God has chosen darkness gone soft on discipline parents are being told that they can't discipline their children and now you see so many godless selfish disrespectful brats who respect no God in heaven and no man on earth no respect for people their property or authority God has been taken out of our public schools the cost of living hasn't been raised so high that both parents have to work rather than spending meaningful time with their children single parents have to work two jobs and so that children are not being raised with two parents in the house and some are barely being raised with one parent in the house and the devil sits by and says good and while you'll think that while you think that you're fighting against this American ideology and American dream never no understand that you're fighting against the devil you better recognize the devil is real you better recognize the devil is no joke he is a terrifying beast and a dreadful dragon you better recognize that the devil is not one to play around with you better recognize that the devil has declared war on God's church that keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus your Bible says revelation 12:17 and I'm dead and the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed which keep they were identifying the church now which keeps the commandments of God and has the testimony of Jesus Christ and you Adventists need to be careful those of us who are over critical of God's church God's church was never perfect Jesus had to go into Church and straighten him out a few times and I love I'm Adventist born Adventist bred when I die I'll be Adventist dead but I'm not ignorant to the fact that the Adventist Church has so many shoes but y'all better be careful how you talk about God's bride my wife isn't perfect she has some issues and I know I'm not perfect I have some issues but you better be careful what you say to me about my wife I'm not gonna let you sit down and degrade and destroy and belittle my wife God has a church they are identified as a commandment-keeping church that had the faith of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ but you better recognize today that greater is He that is in us that he that is in the world will better recognize that God has a plan so genius that it won't fail you better recognize that God's plan is to take the same sinners that the enemy stole and use them use us to a God's glory how do I know her because I read Matthew 16:18 where Jesus said two sinful solid hot-tempered Peter who knew he would deny him in three in three times yet Jesus said him I said to thee thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it I'm so glad huh that God uses people like Peter I'm so glad that God uses people like me I'm so glad that God uses people like you although you're messed up and vile offenders God doesn't call us because we're great God calls us because we know who he decides to use you and decides to use me to build his church is anybody grab that you don't have to know everything for God to use you is anybody grab that you don't have to be a biblical scholar or theologian for God to use you you don't have to know all the intricate details of the 2300 day prophecy for God to use you you don't have to memorize every punctuation mark from Genesis to Revelation forgot to use you God uses ordinary people huh he's looking for people who have been talked about mistreated stared at criticized ostracized marginalized he's looking for people who've been so hurt that they won't hurt nobody else he's looking for people who's been so sick I learned that God is a healer God is looking for people who've been knocked down so low and they know only God can pick them up huh have I got a witness in the building huh he's looking for people whose heart has been so broken then they learned that only God can heal you've got to come to God just as you are and every sinner that abandoned sinner and embraces God makes the enemy weaker and destroys the enemy's camper upon this rock I will build my church and the good news let the Petera see them Caesarea Philippi Jesus says I'm gonna use you Peter to build my church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against I have nothing to fear for the future because the promise of God is that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against his church hey hey nobody said that hell wouldn't try but God says hell will not prevail is that good news read about it tonight huh you better recognize that no weapon that is formed against me shall prosper you better recognize that A Thousand shall fall at thy side and ten thousand at the right hand but it shall not come nigh thee you better recognize that many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of the law for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us the gates of Hell shall not prevail against God's true church don't miss don't miss don't miss the tension in the test Peter got rebuked by Jesus Peter cut off the soldiers here when they came to arrest Jesus Peter denied Jesus but that's not how the story ends God was not done with Peter but God wanted to show us that if you come to God just as you are he will take you and use you to be more than a match for Satan and his entire army Peter became one of the greatest evangelists of the gospel of Christ you better recognize community Worship Center the devil tries to hold you hostage because of your past but God is not as concerned about your past as he's concerned about your future how do I know how do I know how do I know the Bible says in mark 16 6 and 7 the Bible says they came to Jesus to he's risen now the Bible says be not afraid you seek Jesus of Nazareth which was crucified boy where the church wing know I was talking to be here you seek Jesus of Nazareth which was crucified He is risen he is not here behold the place where they lay him in right here here's verse 7 and verse 7 don't move you come down to the altar call something wrong with your Christianity verse 7 says but go your way tell his disciples and Peter yes somebody all over here God it are still looking at me strange the angel at Jesus too says go tell the disciples and Peter oh yes we'll go get here hey hey Peter I know that you're cut off the soldiers here I know that you were rebuked by Jesus I know that you took your eyes off him it's not a seeking I know that you made many mistakes but but Peter is the only one that got a special shout out he said tell the disciples and Peter that he goes before you in caveny this you shall see him and he said it's here I'm so glad that God has a word for you today because our only hope in defeating the devil is the surrender and committed to Jesus Christ that's why the psalmist declared he that dwells in the secret place y'all gonna help me end the sermon here of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty I will say of the Lord he is my refuge and my fortress my god in him will I trust here it is part-time Christians cannot defeat a full-time devil my appeal to the church today is don't play being a Christian because Satan doesn't play being the devil and he is playing for keeps you can't defeat the devil in the flesh hey I'm talking to those y'all that that don't have morning devotion don't even pray and some of us because we feel guilty of some of the things we have done or are doing we don't pray it is when you feel guilty that you need to pray them all sister white says that when the weakest sinner falls on his or her knees that they are more than a match for Satan in the title I know what you're doing it right but would you fall on your knees and what I love about prayer is that while sin keeps a man from praying a prayer keeps a man from sinning the good news that I want you to leave this place with today is that you need a power that is more powerful than the enemy the Bible says in Luke chapter 10 verse 18 and 19 and he said I beheld Satan fall from heaven like lightning but here's verse 19 here's verse 19 behold I give you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over the power of the enemy and nothing shall by enemy's hurt you and then one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible that I would close with today John 16:33 Jesus says these things have I spoken to you that in me you might have peace here it is for those of you living in 2018 here it is in the world you shall have tribulation hey Christians stop acting surprised when tribulation come your way the Bible gonna say you might have tribulation I get nervous when I don't have any trouble and when you've gone too long without trouble you better stop and check the direction you're walking because you might not be walking against the devil you might be walking with him on this earth you shall have tribulation but be of good cheer I have over car the word I wish I had a church right about here but be of good cheer here it is I have overcome the were notice the Bible didn't say I overcame the world because that would signify that it was an event that only happened in the past it doesn't say I am overcoming the world because that would suggest that he is in the process of overcoming and it has not yet gotten to victory yet little doesn't say I will overcome the world because that signifies that is an event that will happen in the future but it says I have overcome the world that is the present perfect answer that means he overcame already he's still overcoming right now and he will overcome in the lives of those who let him is anybody glad today that we are more than conquerors through him that loved us is anybody glad today that neither height nor death nor Angels nor Devils nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come not any creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus is anybody glad today that mary had a little lamb his fleece was white as snow he came from heaven to earth to show the way John says now behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of all the earth my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and on his righteousness I did not trust the sweetest frame but you know what I'll do I'll wholly lean on Jesus name I got a witness in Emile Dana on Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is shaking Santa and Jesus says upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it somebody say yes say yes say if God the glory of God pray you better recognize some of you going through some issues right now you're trying to raise your children in a fair and admonition of the Lord and it seems like they are trying to combat you at every turn you are not fighting against your children it is the devil some of you so broke you don't have two pennies to rub together worrying about your bills and how you gonna pay your rent in your mortgage you're not fighting against brokenness it is the devil he knows if I can grip your finances I can grip your mind I can take your concentration of God I can let you worry and say I'm late all night some of you are fighting in your marriage and you think it's just as disrespectful spouse you think it's just a doomed marriage no you're fighting against the devil who wants to kill steal and destroy some of your going through cancer battles diabetes hypertension high blood pressure the devil wants to take you out you are fighting not against illness we are we are and some of us have been blaming God some of the things going on in your life right now it is the devil some of us have been blaming the devil for some stuff for going through some of it is not even him some of it is just you know you reap what you sow the truth of the matter is that we've got to recognize the attack [Music] but more than that you've got to recognize that greater is he that is in us hey the enemy is strong I don't know don't deny that but greater than he greater is he that is in us then he that is in the world and so today you want to say God I need your strength everybody in here our face is different but I know you're going through your own battles and while you've been fighting the substance while you've been fighting the fruit you have not recognized as a root issue and while you're trying to prove up here God says you got to fight down here there are certain battles that you've been calling your friends and calling this person call it that person but did you fall on your knees and call on God because if you plan to defeat the devil you've got to do it on your knees so today you want to say I need power and I need power that only come from above god for this battle that I'm facing in this season whether it's your health your family your finances you say God I need you to fight this battle what is that for me where you are I need your strength God I need your strength I need your power past midnight oh gentle slave there may be somebody under the sound of my voice tonight you've never accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior today you want to say Lord I've been fighting against the enemy of my arms are not strong enough to box with the devil you want to say I need a power that is more powerful than the enemy you want to accept Jesus as the Lord a personal Savior somebody here needs to be baptized somebody in here was baptized but you fell off the straight and narrow you want that you need to be rebaptised you want Bible studies you want you want to be prepared for our next baptism while we see would you come down to be pray for you you don't get good to come to God you come to God to get good but those of you who's saying I want to get my life together before I come to God what's the point I've come to him if you could get your life together and if you could get your life together what have you been waiting on today Jesus has come as you are because every saint has a past and every sinner has a future so today you ought to say yes to Jesus you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior you want Bible studies you want to be baptized be baptized you want to join this church by profession of faith transfer membership can I invite you down let me pray for you let me pray for you today let me pray for you move out of your seat don't wait for somebody be the first to do we've got asthma speak to you be the first of all let me pray for you let me pray for you walk down that aisle give the devil a headache with every step come on let me pray for you hear my humble cry young months he's been speaking to your heart and today he's saying make your calling and election sure Jesus says you can't come unless I call you and today softly and tenderly Jesus is called that nervousness you feel is the Holy Spirit telling you that he's talking to you and this call is for you to make your calling an election sure seek the Lord while he may be call upon him while he is near let the wicked forsake his way the unrighteous man his thoughts God will have mercy and abundantly pardon and so many a time out doing appeal like this and I'll shake the hands at the door and somebody said pastor Feuer just held out for five four minutes I would have come down these are your minutes to get your life in the hands we're gonna sing the last verse you know that you need to commit to Christ you want Bible studies you want to learn more about him you want to be baptized full commitment you want to be rebaptised recommit you want to join this church by transfer of for all of us to have a second chance at life and eternity so we pray for the brother who's come down today we printed you wrap them up in your loving arms we pray for the cleansing of every solitary scene and all unrighteousness we pray that you would fortify him Lord write his name in the Lamb's Book of Life and god I pray for those who have yet to make such a decision I pray that they would make it before it is too late help them to realize it to recognize that without you we cannot live and without you we dare not die and Nord for the rest of us who stood signify God we are fighting in battles that we know by ourselves we just cannot win we pray for the power of your Holy Spirit to be unleashed in every life under the sound of my voice whatever the battle may be whatever the Manatee we know that you are the remedy and lord we are standing on your word we are standing on the promises of God we are trusting and depending on you knowing that if we just hide ourselves in you that we are already victorious so help us to walk in faith help us to walk in victory and when at last you shall return I pray that all of us would be in that number when the saints go marching in but we ask it in the name of your son and our Savior Jesus the Christ and all that believes shout amen what a lot of time both give God praise in the tavern equity [Music]
