projects in the central part we have the new projects that we can select a global catalog map in a local in or start without any template in this case we are going to create a new map we click and it asks us for the name of the new project in this case my first map is the address where the whole city will be stored at this base and everything The files that we are going to create ok from the image that we have on the screen we are going to create our work for the entire project, that is, to digitize both roads, houses, rivers and other elements, imagine that we obtained this image from a drone or any other means we have a point 1 and 1.2 to know the coordinates of point 1 and point 2 it is necessary to move to the field to be located right in this position and with a gps take its coordinates and then record them and proceed with georeferencing and this is the next step we are going to to do in ArcGIS Pro it has a ribbon for example map here has different elements and in the add data button I am going to load the image I click image ok and load this layer it asks me to build pyramids I tell it if once it has me loaded the layer in this part we have a table of contents a panel of contents I right click on the image I am going to zoom to layer at the bottom we have a coordinate system in this In case we are going to leave it in meters now to georeferential the image we go in the ribbon in the image here we select the reference option the first thing we must do is select the reference system for which we are in Set SRS and we are going to go in Project cordinate system in UTM WGS 1984 southern hemisphere and selected for this case zone 17 south I can click it to add to favorites we give it ok now it is very simple I just have to enter the coordinates of point 1 and in point 2 I will do click on this section of widths I click on the point control and I am located right in the center of point 1 I click the mouse again and then I right click and here it asks in meters I want to know the entire length of the river now in data type it will no longer be the text but double type and we click on save if I go to the river table I already have a name and length in this case the name I can put malacatos river I save the changes save all the changes I say yes and I only have the lagoon and in the lagoon I want to calculate the area and the perimeter I right click on the lagoon layer table attribute I must add two fields add field would be area and a base in hectares double type I click for a new field would be perimeter in meters enter also double type enter we give it to save and close the fields the tables right click on the image Zoom to layer now I can deactivate it to the i magen because I no longer need it I already have all the elements digitized and in the attribute tables I have placed the necessary information it is also very common to add new layers in this case I have a contour layer , a digital elevation model and I want to add influence or lower than 50 meters will calculate geometries now I was interested to know the length of the river open the attribute table of the river right click open river and length attributes can see it is empty do right click and we click on calculate geometry in Input Features the river layer the field and the property in this case length the unit of length can be meters feet yards
