it's kind of bright steve arino uncle dan can't look up playing game kids george i have some errands to run but when i come back we'll get supper so be a good little monkey and stay close okay uncle dan can i get a ride to the hardware store i'm running out of batteries sure it's my last delivery i'll be right out [Music] ah too bright let's go in here hundley was pretty sure that monkeys shouldn't climb into trucks and he knew cats definitely didn't belong in trucks [Music] hmm i wonder where steve went [Music] uh beats me well maybe he put down that game and went to play in the park [Music] they were closed in [Music] here was a clue maybe they were picked up by a giant monster oh or maybe it was a car wash that the giant monster was holding gnocchi was gathering her own clues she knew that smell could only come from one place the chef's favorite fish market hundley wanted to gather clues too oh he knew that sound they must be going through the doorman's lobby [Music] in fact from what they saw heard and smelled everyone had a good idea of where they were the truck stopped finally uncle dan would let them out and they would see where they'd gone [Music] steve's uncle was gone [Music] hundley thought this was no time for monkey business with boxes [Music] hundley couldn't wait to get back in his building but where was his building [Music] george wondered where their building was too and then he saw it the ferry it was splashy and shaky [Music] and hundley noticed it dinged like a bell [Music] and all around them gnocchi smelled fish george realized they must have come over on the ferry oh yeah that's the ferry it carries cars from from the city that's it hi george well i'm happy to see you too and so glad you did what i said and stayed close by [Music] well hi there boy where have you been hey george want to play this game now [Music] yeah you're right finding our way home was a lot more fun hey let's do it again tomorrow uh-huh maybe you should tell me a little more about your day george welcome to the incredible edible arboretum a cornucopia of exotic comestibles [Music] blueberries blueberries are my favorite bush-based fruit come on george it looks like you all forgot the county sprout rules uh rule number one never eat any plant that you're not 100 certain is safe and that means consulting the edible plants guidebook um no it means getting an okay from an adult right rule number two plants are living things you can kill or hurt them if you're too rough so don't pull on them and don't break any branches come on [Music] why is the screen flickering [Music] either the earth is off its axis or i forgot to charge the batteries okay george can you climb that tree and see where we are [Music] and bill bill bill where are you going don't worry i've got my handy back up compass this way folks bill a sprout never leaves the trail that that that's rule number three bill oh my excitement's really growing cause we don't know where we're going [Applause] in this direction green in this direction a path [Music] george couldn't believe what he was seeing someone was trying to break that branch somebody was not being a sprout [Music] oh no this man was wrecking a tree hey are you a monkey cool [Music] i always wanted a monkey but my mother said no george had to do something and fast this tree was in trouble [Music] hey return the headgear monkey [Music] george didn't mean for the hat to get wet or the man but george couldn't wait around he had to check on that tree george wished he could think of a way to get the branches back on the tree he needed something sticky really sticky like [Music] [Laughter] oh i'm sorry i left you in that tree oh dr greenbean nice to see you huh sorry we're late we've had a rough day tell me about it first this monkey ran off with my hat and now my tree lopper has vanished [Music] hey what's going on we'll put mud on this uh george ah so dr greenbean was cutting some branches and you thought he was hurting the tree oh you should have asked oh wait oh you're a monkey well anyway this is called pruning you make a careful cut and it doesn't hurt the tree at all [Music] hey i got it uh mr sproutmaster according to this you're going the exact wrong wait you're going the right way never mind [Applause] [Music] proceed if one car was fun imagine what you could do with two [Music] george had to show his great new car shoes to someone george couldn't wait to see the look on hundley's face [Music] that wasn't the look he expected [Music] hundley didn't want monkey hand prints all over the clean doors [Music] george didn't know how to turn around and go back [Music] i don't know we have too many roller skates now what can we do to make people more interested in skates well how about having a roller skating monkey give demonstrations and just where are we gonna find a roller skating monkey the skates are our gift to you you just skate in front of the store whenever you can george liked his new skates [Music] but what were these black things for george thought that even hundley would have to admire his skates especially since now he knew how to stop [Music] [Music] a monkey on wheels looked wrong but a proud sleek dachshund on nice wheels george knew exactly what hundley wanted to do [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] hmm no matter what george dish they kept going faster and faster [Music] he couldn't imagine how they were ever going to stop then he could [Music] hundley i've been worried why are you you are a muddy mess oh looks like he's not the only one we can't have the tenant see us like this hundley i'll get a towel and get you cleaned up boy time for you to clean up too george [Music] hey wait a minute george hundley was sure if that monkey and cat hadn't been around he could have learned to skate say weren't there two pairs of skates must have been my imagination [Music] oh [Music] tracy taught her chicks to walk tall and be proud like a chicken [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] it was time for a bath because in being proud like a chicken neatness counts george [Music] would you come here please [Music] neighbors will be here soon for our monthly game lunch so i need you to run to the store we're out of toothpicks it's not a party if you don't pick up small food with toothpicks uh-huh oh we need marshmallows too and a new deck of cards you uh you got some jelly on the old deck oh [Music] so take this list to aydah and luke's general store okay [Music] that sounded like a chicken in trouble george could see those six chicks needed to be rescued now all the chicks had to do was walk across [Music] the bridge wasn't chick-safe yet [Music] what could he do to make it safer [Music] that bridge had sides made from triangle [Music] shapes [Music] hmm george suggested they cross one at a time in case the bridge wasn't strong enough to hold them all but the bridge was plenty strong [Music] it even held a whole head [Music] a job well done george could now rush home with the marshmallows toothpicks and cards maybe not straight home [Music] that must be some party if you need more marshmallows toothpicks and cards [Music] already now it's officially a party all righty we're going to play goldfish [Music] [Laughter] yep [Music] mama come see what the chickens built they are geniuses we better start looking at colleges and that's how the rankings college fund for gifted chickens got its start [Music] summer afternoon the perfect time for a game of find the [Music] pigeon [Music] okay george play time's over time to clean your room you can play with compass after you clean your room [Music] bath time george [Music] i don't think you'll fit in the bird bath george you're definitely a tub monkey okay time to brush your teeth and hit the sack george even though being a monkey was the greatest thing ever pigeons didn't have to do what anybody told them george time to clean your room take a bath wash your ears brush your teeth go to bed wake up make yourself breakfast [Music] [Music] so the next morning george made up his mind to live like a pigeon keeping up with pigeons was hard work if you didn't come with wings [Music] plus pigeons didn't have to wait for the don't walk light oh george had lost his flock to be a pigeon you had to fly here were lots of animals who didn't have to clean their rooms or brush their teeth surely george could find one he could be like a chameleon they could change color effortlessly [Music] monkeys couldn't hey george if only there was one animal that didn't act so much well like an animal uh-oh hey looks like we're stuck oh it's okay hundley we can handle this i'll sound the alarm uh oh oh there's only one way out but we need somebody who can monkey up sigh huh you've been such a good dog george i almost forgot you were a monkey huh george had almost forgotten he was a monkey too you did it thanks george oh even hundley thought george was pretty amazing might even make a good dog someday but george didn't want to be a dog anymore all he wanted was to take a bath brush his teeth and go to bed in his nice clean room [Music] the man with the yellow hat's hat was special but what made it so special george come on it's time to go when i put my hat on i'm all ready to head out the door what huh what [Music] okay george that was funny but you know the rule no one is allowed to play with the yellow hat george sure liked that yellow hat [Music] what made the yellow hat so great it was just plain fun george i need to wear the hat for an important speech at the museum please don't play with it [Music] that's what george wanted a fun hat that he could play with george wanted his fun hat to be more than just a normal hat and in conclusion bloody bloody blood etc so forth and so on well that's some hat and yellow [Applause] can i see [Music] oh boy this is one fun hat [Music] wow if i could have had a hat like this i may never have gotten my yellow one [Music] that was the best thing anyone ever said to george you want me to have it this is the best thing anyone ever gave me [Music] oh surprisingly comfortable oh no i'm late george i've got five minutes to get to the museum for my speech i i have to make a good impression [Laughter] george was tempted to play with the yellow hat but the man had asked him not to because he needed to wear it to give a very important speech [Music] professor wiseman asked me to speak today about the scientific method [Music] of course we've all heard the saying what goes around comes around um haven't we um did i say something wrong no continue this is fascinating oh what stuck to my hat oh [Music] i'm wearing george's actually i can explain the scientific method is about thinking creatively taking chances and being willing to fail and you made that point very dramatically i did oh so modest now where can i get a hat like that well george made it i want one i want two and that's how george got his picture on the museum wall [Music] thanks for helping me with the nature week exhibit george we'd like to see the tracks of all the animals that live around here the swim mask oh i'm gonna go jump in the lake to conduct the nature week fish survey bye [Music] george wished his photos were more exciting but there weren't many exciting animals around here hey george ah what you doing wow i see you've got almost every local animal except that fawn i've seen in the hills huh a fawn is a baby deer bet you don't see too many of them in the city huh a fawn was just the special unusual animal george was looking for come on i'll show you where to find it george still hadn't seen the fawn or learned what its tracks looked like [Music] these were the biggest tracks george had seen so far something extra large must have left them they looked like big duck tracks a big duck would make a terrific photo this was like the long track the garter snake made [Music] a giant duck with a snake's tail would make an even better picture but a huge snake with duck feet would be the most incredible photo of all maybe it's swam back home george remembered he'd seen big tracks like these in a book there they were dinosaur tracks a duck-billed dinosaur and the tracks were headed towards bill's house [Music] hiya george did you see the farmer yeah i guess those do look like dinosaur [Music] tracks [Music] yep my new boots were hurting my feet so i put these on to walk to the lake i told you i was going swimming remember [Music] hey now i know what it's like to walk in a dinosaur's footsteps with no hungry dinosaurs around george still needed that special photo for nature week it sounded like jumpy was hungry again but george had enough pictures of that [Music] squirrel [Music] for such big animals those deer left pretty small tracks hey deer tracks wow you used fruits and vegetables to lure the deer to our house so you could take photos [Music] look at these wonderful deer how did you manage to capture such amazing photos george oh you know george he just used his imagination isn't that right [Music] you
