Curbside Scavenging (We Could Get A Couple Bucks... Maybe.)

good morning everyone y'all ready to go find some stuff let's do it well we got here yeah all right little scratchy scratch scratch scratch we got here look at that and they even took the the fabric off for me I could get down on that about Genki really Genki sure yeah we got here light y'all is like replace that guy with this guy which is really pretty I like that look at that y'all it's another trampoline little exercise a trampoline yeah I think these come out I think that one no that one doesn't come out all right or maybe it does whatever who oh that's uh it's so bright we get it there trash can pose oh that's my grandma's old house too that's kind of weird but hey what's in your trash Hungry Howie's anything down there y'all know what's that it's like a big metal something or another let's get it he might not room she'll fit in my truck oh yeah try not to damage my garage sell stuff yeah oh there's another tank [Music] looks like it may be plastic pulls yeah look at that little rustic wooden frame 50 Cent's the dollar yeah that's cool well we got here I see something in there another lovely day ooh there's a little weight bench thing over there go get that car parts cool part of a weight bench or something don't mind if I do punch a bit all righty guys what's gonna do it for today another successful day of fighting some free stuff in the trash will we'll go over a little bit of what we found as far as the Reese elbows go and then you know you see back here obviously we just got a little bit of scrap to take to the scrap pile today but anyways here we go so yeah we got this guy right here I'm not sure what that is it's very cute solid wood maybe I don't know is that for like tools or jewelry or something y'all let me know but easily probably get 5 10 bucks for it maybe more I don't know just depending on you know if somebody really wants it but will probably throw it up into garage sale got a little rustic farmhouse looking frame here looks like probably a mirror or something you can get a piece of glass piece of mirror pretty cheap to put in there but I'll probably just sell it as is put a dollar on at the garage sale ok that's a dollar right and this little wooden stool here I don't know what they were doing here with these nails but you know same story you know I'll put at the garage sale dollar somebody probably interested in it and now this guy this guy is really cool Marlboro 1988 1988 so that's like that's like vintage almost or is it vintage but anyway it's really good shape it's a cool very cool interesting fine collectible people collect stuff like that a couple little flower pots here I mean they're not the best of shape but they're you know they're big parts so I could easily probably get you know three to five dollars a piece for those and in this little table right here with the metal frame I was kind of contemplating scrapping it or doing something with it but what I think I'm gonna do is probably just throw that in the air grab cell as well put a dollar on at $2 that's more than what I get for scrap for it and anything on top of that you know you could put stuff on it to display you know active garage sale so yeah you know a couple bucks here a couple bucks there then we got a you know truckload of some scrap back here we're gonna take to the the scrap the scrap pile today and I think I'm gonna try to also Sid Maya or bring my AB my hoard of batteries along with me so get a few extra bucks so yeah let's go ahead and sort out what we can load this sucker up head to the scrap yard go get some money yeah alrighty guys well we got our loaded up we're gonna take it on up to the scrapyard got our iron there and then over here we got the the batteries I'm gonna say 5 to 700 pounds on the iron and then the batteries I mean see Oh probably a hundred pounds of batteries so let's see how good I really am we're gonna stop off at this section where they take the non ferrous scrap drop these batteries off here real quick then after that we'll swing around to the pile you iron so yeah what I'm doing right now is going through the non ferrous section this is where you would take your copper grass movement anything non-magnetic that is accepted at the scratch alright so we just got the batteries dropped off now what we're gonna do I'll turn you around here we are going to swing around to the back drive up on the scale I mean every yard is different but you you know you got to go through a scale when you're doing this step well drive up on the scale get all the way on there and then stop usually you can they have the you can see your weight over there but they've got this big trailer you just hang out until they give you the green light and when they give you the green light you drive off the ramp or the scale and we're gonna swing it around here you get ourselves into position to back up into the little area they want us to back up into looks like there's somebody in front of us so we'll have to wait a second and then uh yeah don't you just back to sucker on up Oh looks like it's our turn so let's go ahead stack yes sir let's go get paid y'all what'd you say what'd you say all righty scavengers well let's go over what we got here the on the iron came in with a gross of 6028 air of 5,200 a net of 820 so I was off by three or two to three hundred pounds rate of five cents gives us 41 bucks and then the battery's 195 pounds once again I was off somebody getting pulled over you better run better run anyway yes sir the battery is 195 pounds so yeah I was a hundred pounds off I guess I'm just stronger than I thought I was 24 cents a pound gives us 4680 got a grand total eighty seven eighty they round up so a smooth eighty-eight bucks all right well
