Cub Cadet Hydrostatic trans oil

how you doing guys hey this is a beautiful day in the neighborhood i got a cub cadet uh it's a ltx 1050 kw um it's just a kawasaki motor i guess makes that l kw i don't know anyway um i was just doing some routine maintenance and had to really poke around to figure out how to check the drivetrain or the um hydrostatic transmission on this cub cadet and um i found it down in there it's actually this little guy right here it just it pulls out it's kind of hard to pull out so you'll have to work at it i'm going to clean that up before i put it back in but you want to make sure the area is good and clean before you pull that out so you don't get anything down in your transmission but if you look down there you'll see i put a couple rags down here because i overfilled the oil just a little bit but that's where it goes right there that little hole right there in the top of the transmission um i'm gonna save you all a bunch of time you don't have to drop your transmission you don't have to take the wheels off none of that stuff right here on the back of this ltx 1050 kw is right underneath the seat where the battery box is you pull the battery out and that battery bracket slides right out i used some carb cleaner to clean the area up down there around where that plug came off of before i pulled it out and i'm going to check it again and i'll get back to you here all right what i did was i just took a little bit of time to check the oil i put just a little bit more down there i think i'm full now so i'll pull this out what i've been using is this right here to check my oil levels so i'm down in there see where that oil level's at and um full i don't know that i can get any more in there so i'm going to clean this up and i'll put that cap back in there um but i want to clean that up a little bit more just the extra oil and i'll put the cap on there and i'll be right back with you all right guys this should be the last one here um there's the cap back in place got it cleaned up as you can see i got a little oil dry down underneath there to help clean that up but all i'm going to do is put the battery case back in put the battery in drop the seat down and cop cadet doesn't give you a whole lot to go on when it comes to maintenance back here on this hydrostatic transmission so um hopefully this video has helped a little bit and if it has like it copy it share it and now when you get on this thing after you get a little fluid back in it i did read where you want to run it and reverse for a little bit get the oil into the low range of reverse and then you're fine okay hey guys take care and i hope this helped
