good morning staff sergeant struggling with the CSM are today we are at the Sousa National Guard Armory where we've taken some of our vehicles of terrain putting them through their paces and training some new drivers come have a look see what we do the mainstay of the United States military's transportation needs are covered now by the Ellen TV it entered service in 1996 one of the most important things you do in the military before you take a vehicle into the field is you inspect it you give it a full going over to make sure that all the lubricants and everything is the way it's supposed to be that there's air in the tires and all the hoses are attached all the safety equipment is in place that's what we're doing right now let's be MCS these vehicles make sure they're ready to go take right it's only on the side and fixing problems like this is a good drill in itself this is prepares you for what may and usually does go wrong in the field or on a mission it's always good training and that is what it's all about from the moment you show up but training for your mission one of the things we're doing now is sitting up cones too late little MOX roadways to teach people how to parallel park and navigate these large vehicles before they get out into the real world where the things they might run over could cause harm or damage one of the big heavy vehicles moves you always convertible at home [Music] [Music] safety is key especially when we're driving through urban areas on a way out terrain to put these vehicles to the test [Music] [Music] one of the reasons it's so important for all drivers to know that our vehicles and the limitations of the vehicles is that we have actually more casualties from vehicle accidents than we do from combat some of these vehicles have a very high center of gravity makes it easy for them to roll over so we all need to know and train so we memorize all these safety features of their years I can [Music] [Music] it's not much different than the vehicle that rock right there you got Rock coming up find a bigger rock bigger stronger rock sitting the American military [Music] it's well-known fact that a military cannot function without as logistics of its transport so it's incredibly important that all the men and women of the Armed Forces knows how to operate all of the vehicles and constantly train and practice every time we've done using a vehicle in the field of course we wash it down we check all the fluids make a vehicle report if everything is okay there's any damages or any problems [Music] that is one of those things you've been civilian life you could benefit from once in a while when you start up your car go for a walk around it check of all the lights are working horn breaks open up check the fluids it's a good practice to do on your civilian vehicle on your truck and especially of those of you who have vehicles you don't use on a daily basis check if everything's alright before you take it out good practice but like anything you have fun and then it gets dirty and then you have a private clean it another successful day of training with the CSM are a National Guard out at the Armory
