looked around he deduced said this is no way to spend a saturday night but he had the style to make things right so he made butter out of cream of the cream [Music] he walked right out and buttered [Music] [Music] all it takes is a scheme just one [Music] [Music] there was a cockroach in brazil got drunk at the local coffee mill he thought his time was up until he made coffee out of beef he made coffee out of beans he marched to the south and he stopped to the north he had to race against fate while the tears poured forth then senior things began to percolate he held his breath and swam to the top he borrowed beans from his mom and pop then opened up his own coffee shop when his lights were almost off he just made coffee [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] is [Applause] [Music] just like light up your phone or something i know that i hear you but i can't see oh it's sean divine never mind uh we're fine we're good all right so this second song we're gonna sing we're doing this is two of three just so you know if you're keeping score at home so this second song that we're going to do is one that really means a lot to us we're just going to sing this for you uh one of the great things about a weekend like this and and also just seeing old friends and making new friends and all this is it really does take you away from the cares of the world i mean you just turn on the news and every day there's something and uh you know the great thing about music is as we all know that it just brings people together you've seen all these choruses all these quartets you've seen diversity and it's just a wonderful wonderful thing that music has this power there's the a wonderful children's choir here in st louis 450 kids are involved in the st louis children's choir program my daughter was in it and they have a song that they all sing at the end of it and one of the lines is that muse the very last line of the song is that music made together may one day heal mankind and uh i do think that there is that power in music so this song is a beautiful song as a choral director i've heard many arrangements of this song and finally i just thought you know we'd love to sing this song and i asked david wright if he would arrange this for us and he did a masterful dub it's just so beautiful it's an old hymn and it just basically says yes there's issues and troubles in the world but there's also great blessings when you look around and think of all the things that we have how can i keep from singing my life goes on [Music] i hear the sweet [Music] a new creation through all the two [Music] in my soul how can i keep from singing when tyrants tremble in their fear and when they hear their death now ringing when friends rejoice both far and near how can i keep [Music] try to do this now a lot of people because we come from far distances and ask us how we rehearse and really we rehearse on weekends like this like we rehearsed before this show or whatever i know it doesn't sound like it but we really really did and um and uh the uh basically here's how our rehearsals go we warm up do a nice warm up of about three minutes and then uh and then we watch youtube for about two hours and then we go to the show and it was on one of these youtube fest that we saw this incredible incredible video i encourage you all to see it it's one of the best videos on on youtube uh it is the uh cab callaway it's from a movie stormy weather and cad calloway is singing this song called the jumpin jive and it is danced to by the nicholas brothers any nicholas do people know who the nicholas brothers out there good all right so the nicholas brothers were two brothers with the last name nicholas and they would jump up in the air they did amazing tap dancers they jump up in the air they land in the splits and then they get up from the splits without like without using their hands and just keep going as fred farrell will now demonstrate all right look outs yeah forgetting yeah he's the splits are fine he's getting back up that's the problem so anyway we're going to sing this for you as our last song this is cab callaway's version of as by arranged by aaron dale of the
