hey guys my name is brandon sewell i'm the right side angler and today i'm going to give you a review of my crescent kayaks sup plus so i'll start it off with some specks it's just shy of 12 feet long it's roughly 31 inches wide and it has a weight capacity of 275 pounds some of the positive things that i like about the sup plus is that you've got the bungees for gear so you've got you know those are strapped down stuff in the front and the back you've got the yak attack rail system where you can put on yak attack accessories so i've got my gopro mount here i really like that it comes with the seat so that's a nice feature to have it's really comfortable you can also upgrade to getting the seat riser which brings you i think another five and a half inches or five inches higher which may be more comfortable for some anglers also in the very back of the subplus you have everything set to mount a powerful so that's a nice feature as well the hull design is a catamaran style hole so that's what gives the sup plus its stability um so those are some of the positive things that i like about the subplus it cuts through the water well it's fast it's more stable than a lot of other stand up paddle boards that you would fish from some of the negative things that i found with the subplus is that because the weight capacity is what it is when you have it loaded down with gear i have my cooler my all my gear in the back whenever i go to put my stick it angler through the power pole hole in the back it takes on a lot of water even when i'm paddling if there's a little bit of waves and current the waves will start to come over if the deck fills with water so it's definitely not something where you're going to stay dry while you're fishing your feet are definitely going to get wet and if you're going to like land a fish and get down on your knees or sit down on the deck you're going to get wet um this morning i went out and it was chilly in the morning so i'd sweat pants on i landed a fish and basically from my knees down were soaked with water so that was one of the negative things is you're definitely not going to stay dry on this the other thing because of the whole design being a catamaran style through the middle it's it's got a the deck has an arch in it so i really like going minimal and simplistic um that's one of the things that i like about being on the stand-up paddleboard when fishing being in like backwaters and stuff you can't take the seat off and put your cooler here to sit on because obviously the cooler is going to have an uneven surface to sit on so that's kind of a negative thing for me because if i'm sitting here in the sea i've got to reach back over the seat to access my gear whereas if i could eliminate the seat and just have my cooler as my seat and my dry storage etc it would just reduce how much i'm having to reach back and access my gear plus reach over everything to put my stick it into pulling so those are some of my positive and negative thoughts on the sub plus but overall i'll say that i'm very happy with it it's a lot of fun to have out in the water fishing backwater areas and getting to places where you couldn't in a boat or larger maybe even larger subs or kayaks so this thing's really great um so that's my review of this um if you guys could like this share it subscribe subscribe and let me know what you think take care dusty rose uh wow
