Crazy LA STREET FOOD TOUR at El Sereno Night Market!

you got tacos you got Burgers you got Teriyaki here at one of the hottest little night markets that you're going to find in La you're really going to have a good time here hey guys welcome back to my channel this is Steve from Rockstar eer coming to you with another rocking episode and I am out here in Los Angeles in Els Sereno because I'm going to be checking out one of the hottest night markets in La I am here at the Els Sereno Night Market there are about a dozen food choices here everything from Mexican food to even Asian food so this is the video you must stick all the way to the end of especially if you want to see La street food at its best because I'm going to show it to you here at this very special night market in El Sereno and also if you're new to this channel take a moment meantime I'm going to be looking for my very first spot to eat [Music] at so Els Serino Night Market has been here for about 3 years so it's still kind of fairly new it's not one of the biggest night markets that you're going to find in LA but it's definitely a very Lively one and the place to be at especially if you are kind of in the east LA area so yes I'm going to start with how about tacos this is the first one that I see walking in from Huntington Drive obviously when you come here you got to get tacos $3 each they even have kesa tacos tostadas and those are the different meats that you can put inside of your tacos and they even have like molas okay and this one is the assada I heard it is specialty here yeah so if you don't know what else to get you should get this ooh that is tereso that looks so good that's like one of my [Music] favorites man this dude is working like a ninja look at him and by the way I am not playing on fast mode this is like his real speed that he's working [Music] at all right this is the molas for $9 you get this pretty big thing so it's uh handmade tortillas corn tortillas you could put whatever protein you want I decided to get the assada and there's supposed to be cheese inside oh yeah I see it uh there's assada chizo poil and there it's really loaded with all the guacamole and salsa so these are about $3 each and I think I've been to some of these shops before like this one I'm not sure but I don't mind double dipping because they're really good you'll notice that at night markets you'll see some of the same businesses just kind of at different night markets and this one I heard is a very popular Taco Shop so always happy to try it [Music] so these are handmade corn tortillas and you know at night markets you're going to find that especially a lot of these Mexican food vendors they do make their food very fresh so it's very comparable to what you would find at Brick and Mortar restaurants you can put whatever protein you want in this one but the assada is really what everybody gets here so I think you should at least try it with one of these so here are the tacos if you don't know what Elsa get everybody loves tacos [Music] right wow I just love that guacamole so this is the chicken taco and it looks like they have meats of several kinds here so you definitely have options I think everybody likes chicken right wow so juicy and I'm equally excited about this one the chizo mhm like eating spicy ground sausage woo this cheso actually has a kick to it wow all right all right yeah for sure definitely get some drinks I mean they got some drinks back here some aqua Fresca which I'm going to get in just a bit Yeah so if you guys want tacos I think this is a spot ride here takaria L Primo TJ because this is the one that most stands out and everybody comes here to gets this uh Tiana stuff tacos tacoa here we go this is the place you got to be yes you know the good thing about this night market is that you don't have to walk really far to get to your next spot I mean literally like right next door I'm going to try this one next LA ideal so if you guys like burgers I think this is the spot you got to come to you see they got the poblana burger El Pastor Burger I mean isn't just so inventive and then they also specialize in pasta see everything from lobster fetuccini pasta to Diablo pasta pasta ooh that one looks pretty cool grilled chicken truffle pasta and then if you want you can create your own pastas too with a combination of your pasta your sauce veggies wow they actually use charcoals when they're grilling this stuff wow this is definitely elevated for street food and the great thing about these street food spots is that a lot of it is made to order so don't think it's like fast food quality some of these places you're going to have to wait a little bit but I'm pretty sure it's going to be worth it oh there it goes right on top of the poblana that chili yeah it does come with some fries too got to have some fries pares and parmesan cheese [Music] nice of course I had to get a burger and I had to get a pasta oh yeah so this is the bestselling poblana Burger so it's a Brios bun beef patty casillo pobl poblano peppers in the bottom sauteed mushrooms onion and garlic sauce and look at that truffle fries that is so awesome huh so this is all for $20 and you get a drink with it and if you guys want a pasta I heard that the grilled chicken truffle pasta is the way to go so it's fetuccini pasta grilled chicken poblano peppers onion mushroom garlic parmesan cheese and truffle cream sauce this also runs for 20 you see the bread and you can get a drink with this too I think this is by far the most elevated Burger I've seen at one of these night markets in La all right I love burgers this one kind of has like a Mexican twist to it oh yeah truffle cheese fries is the way to go I feel that when you put truffle oil on anything makes it taste so good now this is the first time I've tried a burger with this poblano pepper inside of it wow that is one big juicy Patty in there delicious garlic spread that sauce oh yeah plus if you put mushrooms in there it's always going to make a burger taste good some truffle pasta sounds like out of a fancy restaurant so creamy and Rich tasting cheesy and it does have the poblano peppers that have been sliced up added in here kind of adding that Mexican flavor to this Italian Dish I would say so unless you really don't like fetuccini with that cream uh kind of like alfredo sauce then you should get this one see even the chicken is quality it is fresh grilled oh that's so crispy nothing like some good grilled chicken on top of some really great pasta right it's been a long time since I've had creamy pasta like this so this is pretty fun for me comes with bread too cheese bread so I guess if you want Burger Andor pasta then La ideal is the ideal place to get it here at Sereno n Market man I don't know where else they have burgers and pastas here maybe this is the only spot all right guys so this is Deanna look out for her La ideal Burger how many it's a lot of good food I had so far now I think I'm going to try some drinks AUA fresa here at Danny's auwa Fresca well I guess I can show you all the flavors they have here horada cocoa this one is strawberry with milk fresa kche banana H which I always like mango uh Sandia don't know what that is but I think it's good paa and lemonada de fresa maracuya lemon pepina Chia and dragon fruit yes you could do free samples if you want to so you know what you're buying yeah that's pretty good so this one is about $7 but look how big it is it is a beast wow you're definitely getting your money's worth with this yep I'm into passion fruit so this is the one I'm going to get most of the time but hey it's totally your taste you can get whatever flavors you want here so definitely get your AA fresa at this night market and if you're at a night market you got to get your bira they do have a bira stand here at biria Host DEA all right let's get our beia groov on crunchy tacos $3 each I love crunchy tacos they have everything from that to biria Ramen which I get all the time oh yeah a lot of good stuff and I think that's the kesat tacos very popular I get this all the time that's the Vampiro nice oh and I think that's the Kum wow look how much there is woo so hot yep and I'm going to put everything on mine you see cilantro onions yes and some green salsa you can also put the red one which is very spicy if you like that all right so here we go I got my Kessa tacos so this is Beria tacos with cheese and I put everything in it as you can see if you order four tacos you get this as part of the meal otherwise it'll be $2 this is the Vampiro a vampire's favorite bira Taco bad joke anyways inside that's the bira which is beef not goat beef along with onion cilantro uh salsa and then that's the hard shell so if you guys decide to skip on Takara Los Primos and want some bira here's another Taco option that's definitely very good me bira is always one of my favorite things to get wow that's like a hard beef soup I'm telling you this Cate really hits the spot especially when you're out in the cold night like this this thing could really warm you up almost like drinking hot chocolate you just want to snuggle like in bed or something let's eat some tacos dip it into some of that corome very traditional beef beia I mean it's good I don't know what else to say about it the meat is really good it's very Savory so juicy the taco shell tastes great as well but then I also have to eat my Vampiro as well almost like eating a biria hard taco sandwich wow I think I like this one even better than the K of tacos when you have the softness of the meat with the crunchiness of the taco shell like that it makes her a perfect combination yeah Vampiro my top pap here if you were to come here just to get this Vampiro at this biria stand you're really going to have a good time here this is Eddie right here really awesome yeah go here yes beia yes now here's something you don't find too often in I markets in La I'm here at joselyn's Teriyaki so they have Asian style food here okay let's try this okay this looks like a pretty simple menu all right even tell me how much it is so number one is their special te their ribs kind of like K but I think I'm going to get number two the Teriyaki mix plate which is beef and then the uh short ribs as well as chicken yeah like as in this kind of chicken it is all grilled out here made to order so yes once you place your order probably take about like 10 minutes for this to [Music] finish wow they dressed it up really nicely okay and that's the Teriyaki combo look how big this thing is so white rice and underneath a whole bunch of veggies you can't see but I'll show you in just a bit beef short rib and there's another kind of beef in there that I think might be like a maybe like a boogi type of beef and that is teriyaki chicken in some ways this kind of reminds me of like a Hawaiian meal too because after all Hawaiian meal does have a lot of Asian influences and you can find bowls or plates that look like this you know maybe got some macaroni salad on the side uhhuh you see what I'm saying that teriyaki chicken is fresh because if you're paying $18 for this plate I want some really good tasting food you know what I'm saying dley slice beef shoulder uh this is this is my first time eating a teriyaki bowl in a really long time there are the veggies yeah it's all underneath this is the boiled veggies like cabbages I think wow boiled perfectly if you go to those fast food restaurants like Yoshinoya this thing is so soft it just melts in your mouth you want kind of a crunch to it that's the way you want your vegetables but this is the one that I'm most looking forward to trying because after all I do love short ribs I'm Korean wow so tender did they tenderize his meat or something I I said you can get this bu itself just the short ribs or you can get a mixture of combo just like what I'm eating right now I think combo might be the good way to go because at least you taste a little bit of everything all right guys so this is Aaron right here look out for him joselyn's teriyaki yeah and right across from joselyn's Teriyaki is this shop right here called choco mios I've never seen anything like this so it's like a drink shop it's kind of like a milkshake but without the ice cream isn't that something I heard that their best seller the original one is the chocolate which is $6 I mean everything is pretty much $6 but I'm going to get that maybe the cafe mocha too uh-huh it's so vintage look at this machine just like a in one of those American Burger shops from the ' 50s or something yep it goes into a bag not a cup but a bag wow this is the way they do it in many parts of Mexico from what I heard all right that's it all right look at that now this is something unique you're going to find here at El Sereno only here the choco meal never seen this before this is going to be quite a new drink experience for me think going to try the chocolate first wow so frothy so it kind of does taste like a milkshake but without the ice cream in it all right I'm excited about the cafe mocha just like out of a coffee shop right okay I think I like the Caff Mocha one better this kind of tastes like a Frapp cappuccino but more like melted I would say you know what I'm talking about right like at Starbucks oh yeah this is good this is the one I would most recommend all right guys so this is Frank at chuckle so look out for this awesome couple here man my my stomach is so stuffed that's always how it is when I go to these night markets anyways what about this next one Pand Don Manuel now this spot is pretty cool cuz they sell cornbread so it looks like the entire spread is here they have the cornbread that's the one on the top right there which is their besteller and each of these are $5 by the way uh carrot if you like carrot with walnuts or if you're a banana type of person banana bread and walnuts yes and I think this is the first time I've seen cornbread or banana bread sold at a night market in La so you see El Sereno they got quite a lot of interesting stuff here yeah it's totally worth the trip here you should do it I feel like like I'm eating at a one of those Southern Soul food restaurants now don't you think it's awesome that they sell something like this here yeah for $5 you get one cornbread and you can also get something like banana bread which is what I got I like banana bread of all kinds whether it's from Hawaii or even in LA and the cool thing about this one is that it has walnuts inside oh yeah I love my banana bread nutty too yeah I think this is definitely one of the much better cakes that I've had at a night market this is manuell thank you so much thank you really good good cornbread as you can see there are foods of all kinds here at Els Serino KN Market the only thing challenging about this night market is the parking uh you're just going to have to kind of find it on the streets or in the neighborhood but other than that it's definitely one of the coolest places that I've been to where I've tried a lot of new kinds of food so yes check this out here at Els Serena and it's a
