welcome to my covid classroom this is my organization any papers  that i've run off and i don't need   them yet or they're for future weeks  i'll just put them in their bins and   those are labeled with each category  and those are all just extra bits here are the student cubbies they'll put their  book bags there and then here we have each student   gets their own basket they each have their own  pencil basket with crayons markers scissors   pencils erasers and glue they have the abcs and  the letters to help them they have a sound card   play-doh some counting cubes as well as a white  board and then they each have a clipboard they are   not allowed to share material up there i have i am  happy you are here in english spanish in swahili and then follow around these paper clips are  to hold student work so once they are here   i will put up their work there we have the  you are loved the you is struggling a little   bit we have our calendar back here this year more  paper clips for student work and in the meantime   just some fall and some pumpkin posters  and then you've got a friend in our class   these are their headphones i'm not sure  how those are going to work yet this year   but i'm guessing each student will each have  to have their own and not be able to share   these are all games art supplies manipulatives  that we won't be able to use a whole lot of   when they designed our rooms so that they  met the social distancing requirements   they had to pile up all of our old furniture  over there because we do not have room to   store in the school so any of my personal  furniture any school furniture is behind   back in that corner i decided to put a wall of  books to make it not look like a big pile of   furniture because that's what it is and then  there's just a little bit of fall decorations   each desk has to have six feet  in front of it six feet behind it   and six feet on both sides between another desk so  this is how we space them out our county wanted us   to have about 72 square feet at the front for us  to teach and to walk around so that's about what   we have it was not a requirement but they just  wanted to make sure that we had room to teach this is the front of the classroom   we have our hand signals for  the bathroom and for tissues   i can statements sound card we  have our school family up there   my desk will actually be my assistant's  desk because i don't use a teacher desk   this area over here would normally hold some  center materials and any papers i needed   but we have been told that it will be  sprayed and disinfected every night   so we can't have any paper or anything on it  if it can't get wet we can't keep it over there   so i will probably clean off everything that  is left and leave it completely clear and up   top that's just a bunch of materials that i had  planned to use this year but we'll not be using   last but not least my favorite part the giant nine  foot white board so we'll have our days in school   which will be kind of odd to count because for  coming two days we have my drawing of a turtle   then we have our school family again except over  there there will be a picture of each student in   there so they they get to see every kid every  day even though only half the kids will come so   that is my COVID-19 classroom my social distance  classroom whatever you want to call it this is it
