[Music] thank you all right so to start you're going to need the templates printed out five to eight millimeter craft foam a craft knife or exacto knife and some glue I personally use a contact cement glue from a local dollar dollar store as well as some Sharpies and a ruler might help when it comes to cutting some parts of it out Begin by cutting out the pattern pieces tutorial will be for the left arm version of this template so if you want to make the right arm version simply flip the templates over once the pattern pieces are cut out go ahead and cut out these little pieces in piece a these little slots [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign okay now we're going to draw out all the pattern pieces onto the foam remember you need two t2s and two B2 pieces one of them has to be flipped on the for the left side of the one for the right side do not draw out or cut out a foam piece for the glue guide piece just put it aside we're going to need it later make sure you mark down the cutting marks as well like you're seeing me do here [Music] alrighty now let's get these pieces cut out [Music] edges with line markers indicates you need to cut away from the shape at about 45 degrees this creates an extended face [Music] edges with dotted guides indicate that you need to cut into the shape at about 45 degrees [Music] this creates an inverted face [Music] remember to also cut the slots an A1 out as well [Music] all right The Next Step once you have all all the pieces cut out is to curve pieces A1 B2 and T2 and make them wrap around your arm a little bit better you can do this just by bending foam I recommend using a heat gun but it's not necessary [Music] foreign [Music] to each of the B2 pieces start by applying glue to either inward faces of B1 like so then apply glue to the long face of each of the B2 pieces [Music] [Music] once the glue is ready attach both B2 pieces to B1 start from this end of B1 with the cutting guides and each of the B2 pieces on their bottom ends like this this because this is going to be the bottom of the piece [Music] thank you [Music] this is what the piece should look like when you're done okay so now you can go ahead and pause the video repeat these exact steps that we did for the bicep for the tricep cards then come back to the video next take the glue guide piece fitting it into the center of A1 and Trace out its edges into A1 like so make sure to Mark each side of A1 if it's going to be B for bicep or t for the tricep piece this is where they're going to be glued down now draw a line just before the slots in A1 to ensure you don't add glue past this line okay now we're gonna do the same thing but on the paper version of A1 like so [Music] okay so now we're going to line up either the bicep or the tricep whichever one you want to start with first onto the paper version of A1 that we've just marked on now we're gonna line them up flip both the foam and the paper around at the same time so you're looking on the inside of the bicep or tricep guard now we're going to Mark onto the foam bicep or tricep guard where you're going to be adding glue remember not to go past those little slots on either end of A1 now apply glue to both A1 the bicep guard and tricep guard but only inside those marked zones we just drew out [Music] look [Music] [Music] once the glue is ready we're going to attach the bicep guard first and then the tricep I suggest you curve A1 on either side like I'm doing here just with your hands take your time with this step and remember to use those glue guide marked zones to help you know where you're gluing things down [Music] thank you [Music] once everything's glued down just make sure that the end pieces of A1 after the little slots are not glued down so you can attach a velcro or foam strap I suggest you use an elastic strap with or without velcro ends but you can also just use a foam piece to complete that piece you'll just have to measure it yourself just everyone's bicep is a little different [Music] before I left this area clear in between the bicep and tricep for any detail work that you may want to add for your own projects this is what it looks like attached to my shoulder template I will be attaching the link to my Etsy shop so you can get that tutorial as well as you should be seeing the video for the tutorial for the shoulders right about now as well please like this video And subscribe to the channel for more cosplay content foreign
