CORVETTE TEARS OF JOY ~ 2 DELIVERIES & COULD BE BREAKING 2021 NEWS?!

[Music] well hi everybody and welcome to our coffee with katie show on our corvette only channel my name is rick conte thanks for stopping by thank you everybody for all the comments on last weekend's upload when we compared the 2020 production versus what our customers ordered there was a big disparity in some of the features on there and many of you had asked they said rick do you think you had any influence on some of those orders and how they turned out and i think i don't want to take credit for that but i think maybe just a little bit only because when you guys order the car we actually have a detailed conversation about the packages about the color combos about the seats about the wheels about the calipers in fact there was one guy that ordered torch red car adrenaline red interior and edge red calipers as i'm looking at a spec i don't want to offend anybody because you guys have a vision on how your creation is to look but i said hey can i make a suggestion he said sure rick go ahead i said well you've got your bright red car you have your bright red interior and you have the edge red calipers maybe consider the bright red calipers oh no i built it on the configurator and i like the way that looks i said well here's the thing the configurator doesn't fully depict exactly what that car is going to look like the edge red caliper is more of a burgundy caliper it doesn't have that glossy sheen that the bright red caliper does and we talked about it we switched it over to the bright red when his car came in i said hey by the way right there is an edge red caliper that you were going to put on your bright red car and he went oh wow he goes thanks thank you so much i had no idea so you've got to be careful with that rather than just taking the order and putting it into the system we have a conversation so when you get to the point of actually getting your car and i know that's a long delay longer than a lot of you would like it to be but when you get to that point you want to have that extra sense of pride because that's what this car is corvette is that sense of pride and accomplishment it is truly an american icon that's actually kind of our theme today the emotional attachment that corvette generates unlike any other car is really something special it really is different and for me it's a great honor to be a part of that i apologize i didn't get the video up on saturday that i wanted to but i'm kind of glad that i didn't i want to give you on tuesday we'll do this i want to give you a different perspective one that you've not seen before on the operation of the c8 htc that is the hard top convertible show you a different perspective and how that top operates coming up tuesday license and registration please i'm gonna have fun with that one can't wait to see that plate actually on your c8 corvette so when your car is ordered and it gets to a certain part we can see the vin number that has been assigned to that car before it's actually completed when it's completed then we can see the full vin number so a small update real quick on some of the 2021 orders we've been talking about dennis endorses car is going to be vin 899 and steven michigan your 21 red convertible is going to be vin 85. curtis in kentucky your red convertible is going to be vin 642 gary and karen here in ohio your red convertible will be vin 213 and john in ohio your red convertible is going to be vin 437 i've got another situation brewing right now i'll update you on tuesday's video but i'll put information in the description of this video right now so scroll down and stuff we talk about the video and then look down there's another car that very well may be available to 2021 that's being built it's a yellow coupe red interior black wheels yellow seat belts wild crazy and fun it looks great on this car you guys um kind of a nutty situation that should not be this car should not come available kind of direct result of how another dealer is treating one of our past customers i don't want to get into it in detail right now i'll update you on tuesday in brief and then another video we'll follow up and talk about some of the crazy stuff that you guys go through trying to buy this car but uh if you're interested in that car contact me via text my cell's up on the screen my email is up on the screen that's the best way to get a hold of me there because if you go through the dealership line goes through a call center easy to get lost and i'm going to pay attention to the direct emails and the text messages first so look at the information on that card if it's something you're interested in in fact that has been 140 the car is going to be built on monday and again if i didn't think that it was going to be coming available i to share a little something with you this will probably be where you heard it first and we'll keep you updated as this story develops and this is something that we kind of alluded to last weekend and we're afraid of and it looks like it might happen a little birdie told me and i want to thank my birdie buddy for sharing this information with me it's unconfirmed but a chance it will happen after the first of the year that corvette will go back to one shift because of parts availability and this will directly affect allocations it'll affect availability of the 2021 corvette so we'll keep you up to date with that we hope that that is just a short duration we all anticipated something like this would happen let's face it you guys know this car is more complex and it takes longer to build so on one shift there's no way they can achieve the goals that they want to that we need them to for overall total production so stay tuned we'll keep you up to date on that story our coffee with katie my cup of tea gotcha until i seen this okay two years ago right and then i fell in love and i've been chasing ever since it's a good way to say it chasing it yep absolutely well congratulations a lot more sun to really make this blade silver pop a little bit but you can see the stripes see the beautiful tooth you know i gotta tell you something dude i'll be honest with you when you ordered this i was reluctant on the two-tone natural with the silver okay you know i just everybody's got their thing but i said man i just don't know if that's gonna go but you know what it really does go goes a lot better than i thought it did so nice job i've seen in ferraris and i've seen jaguars yeah yeah it was a little darker in the visualizer sure yeah but i still like it [Music] [Music] [Music] so all great customer past customer of mine that had to sell the original corvette that he bought for me it took many years to get him back into the corvette ownership but there's a great reason for that i love talking to his wife i love seeing larry and his children and actually in today's video i got i got a send-off pat only because i forgot to put gas in the car here's larry from ohio uh larry and his family are here all the kids got the corvette shirts on look at you guys fantastic mama's got a corvette shirt on all right brother yeah what's up dude good to see you man nice to see you as long you know good weather i was responding back a friend of mine was joking around with me the other day call that dealership and tell them it's time to get that baby off the nipple and send her home i absolutely agreed and aubrey's like real classy you want to get in bed look at him oh you're getting the wrong seat dude you got to get in the driver's seat ben you got gotta get in the driver's seat man don't get in there you can do that on the way home come on right now's way to get the driver's seat right absolutely he's like oh yeah flowers in the other seat absolutely man what do you think my man larry and i are talking right now he said he went back and forth do i do these on the order in carbon flash this and carbon flash would have been fine would have matched your carbon flash stripe which looks fantastic but you wanted you wanted the coordinates to stick out yeah just to know what the stripes coming down that i wouldn't get the pop yeah no it does we did flip it over to the chrome yeah even on the front too because the emblem sits on top of the stripes right there like that so yeah now that really pops out that's prominent yeah for those that think that you're coming up behind them and it's some ferrari exotic car no no no no you can see what it is this is a quarterback right absolutely [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] appreciate everything your friendship the continued business over the years and i've forgotten that the last corvette that you got for me that you sold and your wife is awesome she was in tears telling me the story and you know it's that's not funny man oh she is she's all her idea she's so proud of you and she's so happy everything you've done for the family and uh to see that uh that togetherness just a wonderful family i'm excited for you and i know that you've worked hard to get to this moment so thank you for me it's it's awesome to hear that and to be a part of it so thanks dude thank you thank you as corvette because you're a pretty smart guy you know it's a two-seater exactly but here's what's crazy this is crazy my customers are getting their own merch before i get my merch look at larry's team beeson look at the face mask look at the back oh my gosh you're a rock star i love it man that's really cool look at that mask that's awesome it matches the car yeah yeah i'm gearing up hey how's it going guys oh good to see you yeah you had been really bored to come down here and see me you know what like a rainy saturday we were literally doing nothing we had no plans because we can't we're supposed to see some friends you can't really do a whole lot anything right no and the game got cancelled there's no guys today so we're like you know what let's just go for a ride so you've had the car what maybe a month yep a little over a month how do you like it about 750 miles on it i love it yeah i love it it's fantastic we couldn't wait to break the 500 mile mark and see everything change so yeah that was cool yeah it's been awesome yeah i'm happy for you but we got 14 inches of snow december 1st cleveland got pummeled i told you man so there's salt everywhere oh so it's already put in the garage ready to go so just gonna tuck it away for the winter think of it this way though man we're just we're a couple of weeks away from christmas and we're a couple of months away from really kind of getting into season so yeah yeah that's the way i look at it we're that close just starting all over exactly and you can pull the car out of the garage you don't have to call me hey rick when's my car coming it's like you got it already take it down around the block or something oh yeah dude oh yeah good to see you guys good to see you guys if you guys are in california stop on by
