what's up guys I'm random Frank P back with an episode of Cool Tech under a hundred dollars the series we show off some of the best how you can buy under that price and yes a bit of a bump up from Cool Tech under 50. bit more interesting gadgets without breaking the bank as well if you see anything you like today I'll have it all listed for you in the description down below so you can check it out first up today are these best Assan 50 watt speakers and I have to say right off the bat I love how it sort of looks retro like you'd find these on the desk of the 90s but also super simple and kind of modern looking at the same time I just really dig the design these come in black and white color options have some pretty cool features and for the price of just around 65 I think they're an absolute steal to show them off my upstairs office let's pretend I don't already have speakers there because with the white finish to these It just fits in perfectly with my setups Aesthetics so when you get them powered up you have the option to connect via either a 3.5 millimeter Jack for your audio RCA input Optical as well as what Wireless over Bluetooth 5.0 there's also a little tiny LED light on the bottom of the right speaker that's color coded blue for Bluetooth green for RCA and red for optical to show you what input mode you're actually on but as you can see they're nice and compact for a desktop speaker won't take up too much space at all if it's built-in three inch base unit and the one and a quarter inch silk Dome Tweeter up top in terms of sound quality it actually impressed me I was really impressed to hear the stereo Imaging and the separation between the two speakers and how much power these had behind them despite their size I will say I was hoping for a bit more Sparkle if you will in the high ends they're a pretty warm sounding overall but to combat that we actually have the ability to EQ these speakers with both a base and treble adjustment as well as three different sound profiles for music movie and a vocal mode you can not only switch between and adjust with the included remote but on the back side of the right speaker you have those EQ buttons plus a volume dial as well it's easier to just adjust it at an Arm's Reach and again for the price they just really give you your money's worth here the black and white models are usually listed on Amazon at around 78 dollars but Amazon always has an active 20 coupon code that brings it down to just 65 bucks and we legit use these we have them set up in our son's playroom with a TV there and so we can play some music form over Bluetooth just absolutely loving these they're a great pickup now Tech under 100 is great but what about free Tech like this go XLR mini for example or a free final Mouse and you want to save some money to Tech in today's episode that's where today's sponsor comes in what not what not it's an online social marketplace where you can discover some of your favorite products like sports cars Pokemon cards Electronics pop figures and tons of other things all with these rapid fire auctions happening real time you can bid on things like Bose headphones air pods PC components and a ton of these auctions kick off at just one dollar speaking of a dollar the tech in today's episode will be up for grabs starting at just one dollar next week July 7th I'll be going live at 7 pm Eastern right on the whatnot app so you can come by hang out bid on a bunch of things starting at just one dollar we've done this a few times in the past it's been a huge hit we've given away air pods of Razor Viper mini signature edition all for free I'll have a sign up link down below we can also get 15 towards your first purchase again link down below don't miss out next is the way to save some desktop space and that's what this RGB monitor light bar these have exploded in popularity over the last few years and this one in particular is pretty cool because as you can see it has this wireless control dial as well as RGB lighting up top to complement the lighting shining down underneath on top of your desk so you can illuminate your wall with some color and brighten your desktop at the same time so underneath for the main light it's adjustable with the dial not only for brightness but color temperature as well then up top you can pick between static colors the RGB wave or have it pulsing along to the audio going on in your room the light bar also has slight curve to it so if you have a curved monitor it'll just aesthetically sort of fit in nicely but if not obviously not a big deal it's still compatible I just think it's a really cool alternative instead of adding RGB lights behind your monitor or having a physical lamp on your desk now whenever you want to adjust your light at an arm's reach you have the wireless control dial again adjust the brightness the color temperature your RGB lights all without physically touching the light bar itself this particular light bar is usually around 80 to 90 bucks on Amazon which yeah is kind of expensive for what it is but they also have a basic one that I'll put down below that I also have so you can pick between either the RGB model or just the regular light bar now is straight up one of the best keyboards you can buy under a hundred dollars that's the kikron V1 a 75 hot swap keyboard in this frosted translucent black case that sounds and feels fantastic and I'd say is one of the few keyboards out there that you don't need to mod so checking it out one of the cool features to these keycon boards is reports both Mac and PC natively which is why they not only include the appropriate modifier keys for each OS which you can toggle the OS you're using on the back side so the layout switches accordingly that in itself is a cool feature but for me personally I just love the 75 layout it's compact but you still have your arrow keys plus some additional keys to the right side and this one features the insert key up on the top right but they also make the V1 available with a dial if you want that instead and honestly who wouldn't this way you can configure it to control volume use it for scrolling you can make it do whatever you want and don't get it confused this isn't a kit this comes complete with switches and double shot PBT keycaps inside with the hotspot PCB are kikron's own k-pro red switches which are linear and Factory lubed however with the five pin south facing PCB you can swap these out with pretty much any switch you desire if these aren't doing it for you but I will say these stock K Pro switches are very nice for a factory Loop switch and they're light at 45 grams to actuate kikron does make other switch types if you don't like linear but again for a complete pre-built keyboard under a hundred dollars these are some of the best switches I've tried all right let's uh let's cue up this sound test for you guys you can actually hear how it sounds [Applause] man I mean this feels good it sounds good it's definitely also helped out by the silicone dampening pad on the bottom that you can see here there's also a layer of foam underneath the plate so legit at the end of the day if you're looking for a new keyboard that you don't need to mod and 75 with the option of a volume dial you will not find a better value than this kikron has been doing some incredible stuff and I mean you guys heard the sound test it sounds good feels good and I just love the way it looks with the Frosted black case and the Navy dark keycap accents this one's a winner alright next up it is crazier this is only a hundred dollars from cololite this is the Colo play this is this all-in-one macro pad desktop companion that shows you your PC usage and info real time it's a clock it's got widgets it's got everything so I'll demo it for you real time in just a minute but this thing's crazy this gives you a bunch of information on the Fly literally right here on your desktop things like a clock there's different clock faces built in you can have it have like different screen savers it is a giant macro PAD as well it's got four Keys plus the big old volume dial in the Middle with different configurable layers you can have it show you your PC usage there is just so much going on with this thing that it'll make more sense for me to just demo it for you okay so stock it'll show you a few different clock faces so this is one of them and as you can see it's pretty much acting like an audio visualizer I think that's pretty cool so that your desktop or something you can have your clock and then if you're listening to music it'll sort of pulse and go along to that and you press in the clock face to cycle between the different ones on here lots of different you know cool like cyberpunk effects and stuff show you like the date the time what day it is all that sort of stuff I like this one the best and to switch between the different menus you hold in the top left button until it will pause this and then you can cycle between to the next one this one shows you your CPU usage and information in real time so right now it's showing me Ram got my network speeds uploads and downloads CPU usage and temperatures GPU usage and temperatures cool if you want to go to monitor that stuff real time the big one here though is the keypad this is what pretty much makes everything the giant macro pad so that means all these four buttons can be functions for whatever you want as well as the actual dial itself and to switch between the four layers that you can configure in the software you just hold in the clock face and then turn so this is face two or layer two three and four and again it's all configurable in the software so you have four five as the button six left right seven so four times seven twenty eight Twenty Eight different macros on the Fly things for you know muting your audio multimedia adjustments uh creating macros and stuff real time photo editing video editing um even things like toggling Nvidia shadowplay if you want to quickly just you know record well what's going on in your screen for gameplay and stuff the next one is a PC switch which lets you turn your PC on and off just by holding in the button I'm not going to do it because it'll shut off my pc this will then turn off but definitely a cool little option that it has there then there's like a little social media counter thing which shows you your followers and subscribers real time uh this is like one of those little you know one of the one of the few games that it has when you don't have like an internet connection and stuff this little thing pops up uh I don't even know I don't know how to play it oh this makes you jump over and stuff yeah so sure you have that built in cool light Inspire is like a Cheesy little quote of the day that you can cycle between next up then is the Colo controller which let you control all your RGB lights through Colo light so I'll show you that in just one second and then the last one is sort of just more idle screen savers if you want to have these up um again if you're not a fan of the clock face and you want more of a vivid sort of 3d effect going on on your screen you can cycle between these and have these up just for some more extra I don't know popping some color and effects going on on your desktop but I know for me personally um the screen saver isn't really that necessary I'm over a fan of having either the usage up real time with a clock visualizer but by the way you don't actually have to be in the dedicated keypad menu whenever you want to use a macros you still have access to this as a macro pad pretty much regardless of what menu or screen you're on the only reason that you want to go to the physical keypad menu if you want to change layers like I just showed you but yeah otherwise you still have access to all your Macros all the time and this is just super satisfying to listen to inside it uses low profile chalk white switches so they're clicky they're mechanical very satisfying press each time and like I said this also controls your other Colo lights you can use it to adjust brightness turn them on and off change effects cycle between modes and it's all done directly on the device itself it doesn't need to be physically Tethered to your RGB light to the cable or anything like that just as long as you're on the same Wi-Fi network it'll connect automatically and now whatever coil lights you have in your room or your desk setup you can control them on the Fly the press a button definitely a cool little ecosystem integration Advantage if you have them already but for an all-in-one macro pad like this there's nothing really out there like this that does everything this can do you guys know me I love my macro pads you can't really find one for a hundred dollars that gives you 28 macros at the Press of a button monitor your PC usage and info real time is also a clock you can adjust your lights for you it's just really impressive for the price and I can't wait to see some of the future updates and Integrations they add to this then lastly today is a projector that caught me by surprise long story short my wife threw out the idea of having movie Nights on the deck so I did some research and came across this guy a nice and compact 1080p short throw projector that's built off of Android 10. now that's important to note because that means we have access to the Google Play Store to download apps and games in addition to the apps already pre-loaded onto the projector for quick and easy browsing or watching you know whatever content you want inside the settings there's also a few different ways to fine-tune your image including a four point trapezoidal adjustment for getting that perfect framing as well as a keystone correction which adjusts the angle of the image on the screen regardless of the angle the projector is facing so this can be you know pointed upwards or add an angle off to the side and the final image that you're looking at will still be a flat 16x9 screen in terms of usage the minimal focal distance is just a foot and a half you can get all the way up to a 200 inch image at 14 feet away the overall quality I'd say looks really good there's a focus ring up top so you can you know dial in the sharpness but I was really impressed with how this looks it's 1080P and supports 4K input that'll just be down sampled but the actual image looks really good even though you have the built-in apps for Netflix or watching YouTube you do also have a USB port on the back side if you want to watch movies off like a hard drive or something but there's also an HDMI port for hooking up a fire stick using this for gaming with your Xbox PS5 your PC even or something like a DVD or Blu-ray player a few weeks ago was the 20th anniversary of my favorite skate film so even playing that back at 4x3 admittedly looks pretty dated now but again the overall image now blown up to over 100 inches it let me watch and enjoy it unlike ever before it has built-in speakers come to the remote and there's a QR code inside the box to get a free projector screen they say but the one I have mounted on our deck was only like 50 bucks when I got it and it's perfect for the occasion I'll drop that down below as well so I didn't redeem their free screen now with this being cool Tech under a hundred dollars you may go to the projectors link and see it's 180 however there's always an active 70 coupon to bring this down to 110 and this is frequently on sale where it's 160 plus the 70 off to bring it to 90 bucks so if you've been wanting a projector without breaking the bank this one can do the trick watch movies on your ceiling play games at 200 inches definitely not a bad pickup I also want you guys to keep in mind that you know while I'm filming this I'm filming an extreme low-light conditions so how it looks probably on your screen isn't really how it looks in real life it's definitely hard to capture how good it looks when you're filming in very very low light uh but yeah just for the price this looks really really good a great portable projector great for family movie nights or whatever you want to use it for can't complain for under 100 bucks and guys I'll wrap it up for this episode of Cool Tech under a hundred dollars hope you all enjoyed like I said in the beginning everything I showed off we listed for you in the description down below so you can check it out and I hope to see you guys
