[Music] hi guys it's me here welcome to my channel and welcome to cooking 101 today we're going to make Carioca one of the very well-known street food in the Philippines so my ingredients for my Carioca for today I have here 2 cups of glutinous rice flour 1/2 a cup of flake sweetened coconut and this is the kind that I me that I use you guys there you go for our sauce we have half a cup of sugar and water we're also going to need a BBQ stick and cooking oil so let's start our Carioca 101 ok friends I have my mixing bowl over here so what we're going to do is we're going to mix our glutinous rice flour that's 2 cups and the 1/2 a cup of the sweetened coconut ok next we're going to add the water but the way we're going to add the water we're going to pour it slowly and then mixing it at the same time we need to have kind of like a more harder than pudding consistency so let's pour a little bit of water and mix it if our glutinous flour is going to be dry we're going to add more water but if our mixture is going to be a little bit runny then we have to add a little bit of the routine loose rice flour so I change my spatula you guys to a wooden spoon because it will mix better with a with a wooden spoon so I decided a little bit of water we just have to add a little bit of water at a time so this way we don't overdo it so we need kind of like this kind of mixture here this one here okay I just want to show you guys the the dough the dough has to be like this not too dry not too soft like that okay and for one cup of water I didn't finish using the whole thing I still probably I only use like 3/4 cups because I still have a little bit left here okay so this is the kind of consistency we need can I make you know when you guys are making bread just like that I have my plate here I just spread couple of flour on top so that after we put the ball in here it's not going to stick on our plate okay friends we made 21 balls over here anyhow before we fry it we need to poke the okay so we're using the barbecue stick to do that so you just poke it in the middle so that when we fry it it's not going to burst so we poke it one by one like that just like that okay friends I have my pot here and I already put some cooking oil with the temperature of the of the stove we just have to make sure that it's not going to be too high otherwise our tapioca will get burned so easily so it's just in a medium-high heat okay and I think our our oil is hot enough let's try one let's try one okay let's see just have to roll all these things until they get poked and it moves okay friends here is our tapioca now you know that their cook when they don't stick anymore they look like fish balls you guys make fish balls so now we're going to remove them from the pot and we're going to set this aside so we can cook more your friends here is our tapioca now now we're going to make the sauce okay friend sorry I added half a cup of water on this sauce and half a cup of sugar [Music] your friends it took me at least 20 minutes to make you this sauce thicker like this you just have to keep continue stirring it so it won't get burned okay now that the sauce is thickened we're going to add our tapioca balls and then we're just going to keep stirring it and till we call everyone each one of them okay friends the sugar is almost gone now we're going to turn the stove off and then we're gonna let this one cool off before we put this one into our stick okay friends this is our finished product this is our Carioca if you guys like this video please don't forget to give this video a thumbs up and also if you haven't subscribe on my channel yet please don't forget to subscribe thank you guys for watching and have a blessed day every night wherever you are in the world and may the good Lord bless us all thanks guys
