ah amazing this is serba subsurbus tv in this two-part tutorial series video we are going to explore the earth's natural resources in our first video we are going to differentiate natural resources as renewable and non-renewable resources and on the second video we are going to explore different natural resources and their uses we are also going to cite some ways on how to protect and conserve them are you ready to learn if you find this video helpful please do not forget to subscribe to this channel do not forget to like share and comment hashtag again missing let's go our planet earth is made up of different things plants animals rocks and minerals and bodies of water these things are called natural resources natural resources are materials created and gathered from nature that humans used to survive and satisfy their needs sunlight and wind are also natural resources when we use these natural resources to make something new that provides utility and value to our lives they are called man-made resources examples are chairs and tables roads and buildings and the light natural resources on earth can be divided into two renewable and non-renewable resources renewable resources are resources that can grow again or can be replaced after it is consumed they can be generated quickly and are found in large quantities examples of renewable resources are water air plants animals solar energy wind energy and geothermal energy the food people eat come from plants and animals plants are replaced by new ones after it's harvest people also eat animals animals have the capacity to reproduce and are the place when young animals are born water in a river or in a well may dry up but when the rain comes the water is replaced plants animals and water are resources that can be replaced renewable resources however can be depleted if not properly managed or conserved on the other hand non-renewable resources are resources that cannot be replaced once consumed unlike renewable resources they are found in nature in small or limited quantities since they need long periods of time to generate examples of non-renewable resources are soil rocks minerals and fossil fuels like natural gas coal and petroleum metals like copper iron and aluminum are abundant on earth but people are using them a fast they have to dig deeper into the ground to get what they need fossil fuels like coal petroleum and natural gas were formed from plants and animals that live on earth millions of years ago it takes millions of years for dead plants and animals to turn into fossil fuels and those are the difference between renewable and non-renewable resources always remember that both renewable and non-renewable resources must be used wisely and properly it has taken many thousands and millions of years to develop and accumulate these resources if we will not conserve these natural resources there will be no enoughs of life for us in the future and for the future generation in our next video we are going to explore different natural resources and their uses we are also going to cite some ways on how to protect and conserve them see you on our next science lesson ag amazing
