Conscious Oneness With God

[Music] welcome my name is Penelope Chatterton welcome to awaken the dream my friends I come from power outages to snowstorms and I'm dressed warmly and I am so thrilled to be here and to be healthy I want to thank Tim Riley the director for his wonderful work with me and seeming to know when I breathe and when I need to turn to another camera I'm very grateful I also want to mention Chris Bentley from infinite ways students dot webs.com in other words IW students taught webs.com i haven't spoken to him in a while but I guess I wanted to mention how focused he is as an infinite way teacher student just it's his life he's he's focused and I just want to recommend his website because he's very accessible but don't plan on bantering with him about anything if you're interested in the infinite way he's the man so today I'm going to talk about conscious oneness with God by Joel s Goldsmith because he is the founder of the movement called the infinite way as an extension of Christian Science he went into a very quiet space where no organization no politics just pure mysticism and the conscious awareness of God is really about Joel is trying to tell us it's just only an inner experience which takes you to joy fulfillment peace anything you could ever want comes from that inner experience which you must work at he says it's not lazy man's work we work on it we locate through our connection this union gives us grace and then we listen and we have to get it and we do get it we are not in this human dimension and we can go to a deeper one the real one so conscious union with God is all about discipline knowledge and you know I was thinking before I came in here how simple the messages so the message is simple that we are not in the human realm we have the Christ mind we have it embodied in our consciousness which means everybody has it we are one power there's one cause for this entire universe and we're all in it together so one of our big secrets for freedom freedom from bondage to person place thing circumstance any condition you want freedom can you imagine Joel is telling us we can be free here in the human dimension right now and I like that because I'm working on this because I love the feelings that I get when I remember when I do my meditation when I'm awake in the dream this is this is a dimension that we bring our finite sense to and let me explain that our finite sense is not the infinite sense it's what we were indoctrinated with now let's look at it this way you all know you have different parents you had different schooling's you have very different brothers and sisters husbands wives everything about your projection here as a human is finite and it's all yours it's never gonna match anybody else's which i think helps us to understand you can't judge anything anywhere because you can't you can't go near it cuz you you're clueless you don't know where they've been how many lifetimes you just don't you don't know where their soul is and freedom comes from seeing the love the pure cause in every one the in this oneness that's your freedom so my friends meditation is what Joel recommends now he said you can get bored trying to meditate he said keep bringing yourself back or if it's too overwhelming and you're just not getting there and your mind is prattling let it go come back to it but that is one of the big secrets to conscious union with God is being conscious so we have various states and stages which Joel would like to explain first of all the spiritual and the mental are very different we have soul powers and we have logical reason mental powers which we in our history of spiritual healing there was so much about one mind overcoming another or projecting or beating something up with affirmations to make it happen this is not that this is much easier this is letting go this is surrendering to the still small voice and you know that's still small voice the forms of the still small voice are incredible for everybody there's no set way to say I hear it all I know is when stuff comes to me I know that's my guidance I have a friend who calls them angels you can call them here I think Bernie Siegel once said on my show I called him Harry it does not matter where your guidance come from but you have it it's built in there is one power there is no human plane it does not exist there's nothing finite here this is really focused material the infinite way there's no gray areas you're alive you have everything now you have God's wealth you have God's health you have God's abundance it all comes in consciousness but that added things only comes when you really surrender surrender to all the stuff you think you want oh they say desire is sin I don't know what that's about but I can understand that they're saying you can block the very best for you and often it takes a lot of patience so patience I have not I don't know if it was my redheaded heritage but I do this because I'm working on it the infinite wait is compassionate about growing slowly and patiently as we go within and we do this union with God everything just unfolds the unbought the embodiment of the Christ and the Christ was not a messiah leading the Hebrews to freedom the Christ was loved that's all it is and we all are one in the love that is within us so we have to cut away everything that we think we see now he talks a little bit about mesmerism there's a guy named Mesmer who created a theory of mesmerism or hypnotist and I think his top student was Quimby dr. Quimby Phineas P Quinby I believe there's a name and he became an entertainer and they were healing things until he got it that he overcame what the mental cause was and he went to the spiritual cause which is when the healings really happened and his best student was Mary Baker Eddy and they did a lot of mind over mind but we also saw her doing a lot of surrender and a lot of letting go so joel comes by the infinite way honestly he was a businessman for thirty years I don't know maybe twenty four Christian Science practitioner healer he did healings I also remember that he said when he tried to do everything all by himself alone without his students or with two two and three gathered together that it was hard often there weren't many miracles but his progression in all his books just shows about how he slowly was opening up and receiving and getting what life was about so my friends I cannot recommend more as I always say every book it's like the first one anything I went back to that I've read ages ago I feel I've never seen it before it's fascinating now here's another wonderful phrase from conscious Union is that the light dispels the darkness so the only way to dispel illusions is to be in the presence I cannot say that over and over enough because that is the point of this book you dispel illusions with the presence you feel the presence now that well if you want happiness and you want peace eventually on this path in this dimension you will edge your way toward this because you're going to be so hungry for it there's a lot of pain and suffering here and Joel says we don't have to accept it we can dispel it it fear is not real this dimension is not real now that seems like such a far off leaping point for us to go to but when you discover your meditation takes you to the still small voice be still be quiet listen for your very life and you're guided there's nothing here that touches that there's just nothing here so spirituality revealed is listening to the voice for God for surrendering and moving with your guidance now let's get back to mesmerism because that's kind of a nifty term mesmerism meaning hypnotism meaning we've been well when we came in as I said we all have this finite concept of the earth plane we all inherited everything that we've inherited it's different I often have to understand that because I come from a family and where you'd hardly know we were relatives because all of our paths are so different that's a healthy thing that's a good thing to see and understand it's a gift to say we're not all supposed to do the same we don't all have the Spain's same spiritual values we don't cling to the same things we're all so different in this journey this is a journey my friends we step on and we do it and we move along with our guidance so meditate my friends remember it is embodied within you the entire Christ mind it is embodied within everyone waiting as Joel said to be revealed to be unveiled think about that think of a veil and think of it unveiling it will unveil to the degree you trust it you fall in love with your guidance you're never alone you can be in the best marriage the best big family and you're still alone they're always alone you came in that way and you're going out that way and we're not into longevity with the infinite way we're into immortality we don't look at oh my god I'm in my 80s this is it the end is in sight and as the infinite way says one of the final hooks that we look at is is death that is used that we look at that here and of course it doesn't exist the substance of eternity of the Christ mine is coexistence Co eternal and of the same substance cause and effect are the same came from the same place it's the same substance it's all one it's almost hard to explain oneness I think gods very hard to define I think it was lots lots ooh who said if you can name it yet haven't got it you don't you don't have it people have tried forever to define God and and it's so unique the way guidance speaks to all of us that it can't be done we look back in history and I know what Jesus said that was very important he praised all of the Saints before the Hebrews he just praised all of the truth because he said there's no new truth what I'm giving you is not new been out there forever we were born into it because we're one were one power the Saints before me had knew the same thing there's and I love that there is nothing new he didn't he just came as a rockstar teacher as far as I'm concerned because he he taught us he taught us to surrender and you know how few people understood him it's like straight is the way narrow is the gate and few there be that getteth the Hebrews really were looking for someone to free them and Jesus didn't give them what they they rejected him he was trying to tell them something and that's why it's comforting for me to know that as a man that Jesus was who tells us the Christ mind that he had and still has is ours the practicality of the Jesus Christ Jesus will call him Christ Jesus yeah Christ Jesus is who we are we are people who are God people are gone bodies are God everything is God everything is the same source the same substance it's all the same the whole if you've ever had that out-of-body or that miracle moment where you just weren't here for a minute and you went to that place which you couldn't describe that's what I'm trying to say I've had it I understand it I could never describe it it's something I think there's just nothing here that can touch that and and I think as teachers we have to be careful that we we act the way we pre when we preach we got to know what we're doing Joel in this book asks us to doll up our lifestyles so that hit me over the head it's like do you know what's it look like what kind of a Christian or a Muslim or a Jew are you do practice are you pure do you have a lifestyle you're proud of do you pray before meals do you pray period do you look at junky TV I got to watch that one there are so many things that we have to raise we have to lift ourselves up so we have to be careful what we spend our time doing if in fact we want to keep remembering oneness if we don't want to fear anything I mean what an invitation to fear is to turn your TV on lots to worry about and that's a that's that's a gift I keep thinking I mentioned it in my last program that all of the thunder that's going on in this universe right now with all the stuff surfacing about people abusing each other is a wake-up call and a gift honestly I know it's a gift it's a gift because our job seeing it is to see it and if we see it then we want to be active teachers we want to be servants to help this planet because now we're seeing oh my gosh you name the category all of them are out there all the abuses you can imagine are on the table for us to say oh my god I care about that I need to work I need to help so I think what I feel sincerely is we're on our way to something amazing we're we're into a rebirth of the universe here because we have so many teachers of so many faiths and religions that are working hard on the perfection of their lifestyles the perfection of their life the perfection of what they teach and being examples all you have to be is an example of love now when I get on my high horse and I want to and I get iffy about somebody or grumpy about somebody because I see something that either I disagree with or I feel judged I am learning a hard lesson friends to learn is don't share everything with everybody because the infinite way material by many could be considered I have friends who say well I watch that but thank you no thank you and I think that's cute because we love each other anyway and we accept each other but it's not for everybody journeys are very different Joel says in conscious oneness with God sometimes the worst-hit in our life and our human suffering is the greatest launchpad to find inner work when you cry out and there's nothing out there that can help you you have to be inner and not everybody is ready to be inner maybe this time but because there's no death there's transition there's coming back or not coming back or working from the other side I don't know anything about that but all I know is grace is waiting for us it is unveiling everyday maybe slowly much too slowly for me but I'm still trying to know that that's because I'm not working hard enough and that's good to know work harder meditate more often it doesn't hurt to be around like mine's not at all dear round people or share with those that you can do the two and three gather together because if you go into the silence together and you can don't go into the light together it's just the lift it's indescribable so my friends the journey goes on conscious union with God says it's an inner experience and it can unfold to grace but you have to work at it you dispel humaneness as a matter of fact Joel says we're not one in human hood we can't go there if we try to work on somebody's brain or we try to to help somebody by using our head against somebody else's that's not going to work because that's the human hood we think we can change another human we can't change anybody Joel says we're not here to judge any person place thing condition it's not our job we have to see perfection now sometimes seeing perfection means you may have to see it from afar or you may have to give that perfection to someone that you're not spending time with if in fact that happens to be what had to happen but you know we attract like minds on our journey we attract the program we want to study or teach or serve our programs we want to serve and we attract the people in our lives that that can grow with us if we don't put ourselves in bondage to what we think we're supposed to be doing if it doesn't feel like it's really who we are you know to step out on a limb and really be real I think I often see on Facebook Buddha comes up with some wonderful statements about if you don't have a whole lot of friends but you're really real or if if you don't need to live if you can live alone at small most the best thing ever because you have the guidance there's something to be said for no masks being real and sometimes if you can't be real with certain folks that's okay it's perfect you you go where you can attract others and you will attract so I'm just saying there are tests on this journey there are roads that we go off on that aren't the right ones and that happens all the time so I guess Joel is trying to tell us don't be hard on yourself especially when you're meditating if your head is just flying around and you've got a grocery list in your head don't be hard on yourself just let it go but you know I love the way the universe speaks I was thinking of a trees that applauded me once I did a show here and and there was no other tree going on except the one around me and I was laughing because I was talking about my oneness with planets and stars and trees and plants and animals and and it was almost like I was getting yeah thank you for mentioning that I'm one with you too you know you can hear somebody next door talking about something that you have thrown to spirit that is a concern of yours and you might hear it by osmosis that oh my god and you will know that's guidance coming through the strangest avenues I'm not kidding even on a TV show the strangest avenues can bring you the answer to something that you need to do or where your next move is but courage my friend I think you get courage when you meditate when you find the path is working when you find in your studies Joel really encourages spiritual diligence he encourages you work the path get on it and work it hard nothing wrong with that that's our taskmaster Joel Goldsmith and it pays it pays so when you wake up here well here we go when you wake up you don't start your day wondering if your hair is wet or am I gonna be late you go instantly into who you are you thank God for the presence you thank God that you can be a witness today to the love that's within you you can ask him to drive your car you can ask him to just be with you and more than anything even in the middle of the night especially melt into the feeling of the presence now I know when I'm working with a feeling that my chemistry feels different I feel I'm breathing easier that issues that I had seemed to just disappear or lighten because I realize I'm in the presence of all that there is there isn't all this other stuff that I've got so bless your food be a witness to God all day long and give thanks gosh give thanks all the time keep giving thanks for the gifts that keep coming to you because they're abundant an abundance is something he talks about he talks about God being God unto itself how when you tune into God you are becoming the God within you when you surrender and you realize who you are being conscious means you're one with everyone you're one with the universe you're conscious and you know you're in a universe when you're conscious you know you're here you're conscious of everything and that's the gift that is the gift we'd gone through so many phases think about your life and what you're maybe you're religious or no religious training was when you were really little and maybe you absorb some some paths that really worked for you and you storm those kingdoms and sometimes we notice they dissolve that there's something else down the road that might have some meaning for us that we can add to our spiritual knowledge and that comes and it could be shifting into another way of thinking when I think of all I think of my Meister f cart and letters of the batterer scattered Brotherhood edited by Mary strong of course in miracles' I looked at I looked at especially meister eckhart early early on as a teenager I thought his mysticism was off-the-wall he it was just beautiful vibrated to that and then you just keep vibrating to programs and also you go through youth you go through middle age you get older and you have more power when you have the doors open so being into so many I feel like I've been in 20 lifetimes already and I keep thinking I don't want to go back to any of them which is that it's a good thing you're not missing anything because you did that done that we're creative and creativity according to Joel is just keeps rebuilding and it's always abundantly growing it's never the same think about that it's never the same what is within you is going to keep building and changing and growing and it's gonna be more infinite in the way it shows up for you some of my friends you're on a journey there's not a thing that you can do but be still and no peace be with you rest in the everlasting arms they after you surrender everything you'll float into those everlasting arms where all is well and if that didn't really experience that I wouldn't be able to say to you that's what works I have experienced that I know the infinite way folks teachers students they experience it and in experience is different from something up here where you mentally are pushing on something you're affirming something intellectually here you're trying to make things change by pounding it by forcing it that's when it doesn't work or what you get isn't really what you could get if you surrender to the higher power the added things come I always love that you keep doing your homework you keep surrendering and then you allow what God knows your needs more than you do my friends you gotta like that one I love that one because when I have my itinerary and I'm on a roll then I realize yeah I'm not sure the mystery that's within me has that in mind as well I'm winding down folks and all I can say is when we go through all of our phases which is where I was a minute ago and I lost it where you raise kids you have children you're working six jobs you know this is a busy place the day does come sometimes when it's a little easier when the kids are in college or you've just got that time to contemplate what your life had look like what phases you have been through and where you are now and what you want to do with it there's a wonderful freedom I love the way joel says you can be free here now right now you can be free no bondage to anything human circumstance right now you can walk that way now the Saints did it they are joint heirs with you and any time that you are in touch with your Christ consciousness you are in touch with everyone everyone everyone is there waiting and supporting you and that's when you get that lift within all that wonderful light from joining your joint heirs with Christ in every one so your ticket to freedom is to see that Christ in every one as I often say the worst person you know has the son of God right within is totally now can you imagine I'm saying this but it's true totally complete whole and perfect right now whether they have it they get it or not or whether they're in a denser time in their life you hold them to the truth within them if you want freedom in the human dimension because we're not into human hood we're into a spiritual realm of consciousness that lets go of the earth plane and when you give them that think of what you've given yourself you've been are totally free you're free here in your projection of knowledge and of the presence that helps you and allows you to see the presence and everyone else the love within everybody else the cause and the the the cause and effect are the same substance it's just all one power it's so simple and it's so easy for simple things to get biased but this is where the work comes in Joel says go to work be diligent and keep start your day right Inge a day right think every chance you get I remember once in I think it was scattered Brotherhood they said if a clock rings or a bell strikes the answer of in in your vision just remember be aware ah have I thought about Who I am and then you just sink into those everlasting arms you smile you're home you're complete your health is wonderful your wealth is wonderful everything that you are is perfect and the added things will come to you so my friends thank you for letting me prattle here I enjoy coming here I enjoy trying to keep myself whole alive and I love my studies and I love and and the right place will come to the right mission the right study will it'll match wherever you are you'll just say ah that's it that's me I love this it works for me it's within me so I'm taking it on
