morning oh looking forward to this welcome back we're taking a trip down memory lane once again this morning as we look back at some of our favorite reality shows yeah this week we're catching up with some of the young stars who became overnight musical Sensations when they appeared on Britain's Got Talent as children uh but before we chat to uh Connie Tolbert Natalie uckery and double act boss and Melody let's well let's just make them mortified a little bit uh let's take a look back and when we first met them [Music] over there I thought you were fantastic [Applause] [Music] Ally well yes in Sweden [Applause] would have done you know I have no Dad I'm living with my mom easy but that's okay [Applause] no no no those clips that long enough so so nice Johnny Natalie uh Charlie LeAndre otherwise known as Bars and Melody uh they're all grown up and they join us now oh welcome to the show so lovely to see you and it's so lovely just to see you when you're small and Connie let's just start with you she was so so young though six years old yeah no teeth no front teeth I remember at the time finally yeah yeah thank you but the thing is you actually made Amanda cry I can remember ears in her eyes it was just so what do you remember from that song can you even remember it you know what it feels like that was like the beginning of my life because I don't really remember anything before that but I remember bits of the show and it was really just I I really just wanted to be on the X Factor and obviously I was too young so I was like yes this is the next thing and it was the first season so like no expectations for the show whatsoever um it just started as a fun day out and I mean it's given me a career today which is incredible did you really love you you got through to the farm you're aware of what was going on or did you were you shielded from it like do you between your parents and the production team did they just look after you enough know when you kept going through the rounds just to kind of just go out there and have fun yeah yeah that was always the motto is just go out there and have fun and I I just wanted to be Leona Lewis so in my head obviously owner Lewis on the side singing Over the Rainbow I can remember your mom actually on the side with Aunt and dad and I can remember just really worried about them saying something awful and then the relief on her face when they actually did say that they thought you were wonderful no they were worried about that because it was it was like the nasty Simon Cowell yeah then he's like softened up and we know him as well you know that's just admit yeah about your music now what you do yeah so I've got an EP um the first singles coming out at the end of April called Growing Pains um yeah completely independent artist and just very lucky to still have the following that I have and I'm just very grateful good luck with it but I can remember Simon actually thanked you for being on the show as well because they really believe that they wouldn't be there if it wasn't for you so it's incredible it was brand new it was yeah a real pilot but it was it was amazing we've got a connection here because it only inspired you Natalie to go on the show yes you did how old were you at the time I was well I was actually nine first when I saw it I saw your audition and I was like oh my gosh mommy look at that girl she's amazing amazing this is my turn I wanted wow there was a lot like I remember just being so small and coming for the addition there was so many people and like the the crowd massive and I remember just singing like I remember when I grew up I was always like performing on the train like for random people so I thought okay I'm on the stage let me just imagine that these are the same old strangers that have been performing to and you know it was it was fun I just did it how did that moment change your life wow it actually played a massive part into where I am now yeah like a lot of people from when I was young I remember I got bullied in school and like people were like oh yeah like the same nasty things to me and then after going on Brent's Got Talent all the bullies became my best friends walking on the street and people like oh my gosh remember me I thought yeah that's my best friend so my new single fire is coming out on the 31st of March and that's like an afro pop type of song yeah so I'm like releasing that one I've been releasing music and yeah like performing traveling forming on cruise ships a whole bunch absolutely Bars and Melody I remember that was so so good what do you remember from that time because I can remember you was like you just resonated with the audience I remember they were up on their feet dancing what can you remember well that's the thing obviously we were all very small going on this show yeah we just all felt so small and you know me and Charlie being 13 and 15 at the time we didn't know what we were signing up to we were just there was nothing to lose for us you know we were just there to have fun it was a day off school yeah is amazing this is amazing what singing day off school perfect let's let's do it like what you want us to come back yeah and we went on with zero expectations and come out with I mean possibly everything we could never have even asked yeah you know and that alone was just and it's not comprehendable you can't comprehend it you can't understand the feelings you can never delve back into that moment you'll never get that moment again it's just a special moment for all of you that was the first golden buzzer that year yes it was and you were Simon's goldfish the crazy thing was actually it was the first year but they kept it a secret from the contestants right up until the very last minute so they only warned you about five minutes before going on stage yeah that it was even a thing yeah and it was the audience he was telling Simon push the buzzer yeah I do it or else what are you up to now so we actually have been non-stop since since I mean obviously kovid was a Slowdown for everyone but we'd been relentlessly touring up until that point um but now obviously everything's kind of get getting back to normal we're also getting back to normal going on tour start to release music and our next single heart is out on the 17th of March so very very soon and is able to appreciate it right now on Spotify and the Apple music any streaming platform so yeah for all of you thank you so much as well thank you thank you thank you so much well guess what the loose
