CONFRONTATION ON THE CANAL episode 33

[Music] so we're leaving for Nantwich today we've been a hat great a couple of days but when I woke up this morning my phone was in the North Atlantic and it was lovely and sunny well we're not in the North Atlantic no one's cut our lines luckily but it is actually nice and sunny today so I'm going to make the most of it and head off enjoy cruising in the sunshine [Music] so the mooring technique that we did last time actually improve the my way we moved every time a boat went past which was quite regular it's quite busy didn't have any banging around or anything so that was really good someone tell me how to do that for a while because we're from Knights we've obviously been on other boats where you'd put like a spring on and all that kind of stuff but then you wouldn't go forwards and backwards for our posts both on the further back so when their angle they're holding inland with us the opposite we're doing it that way and that way sort of hold you in tightly and also create something more this spring you don't go forwards and backwards so in the future we're going to try to do it's very convenient here that's the rehab in the right flight for that I think you better change maybe playing again yeah we're pulling over planning because there is a fun oh sure thing don't and I think going down there's no movement somewhat entirely to just setting look number one there's only two looks at hot green yeah just setting them because this one in front of us there's no one coming the other way okay so that is another boat waiting to come through the lock so definitely a busy day so while there's no keys filling it up I'll just show you what's near it so I can imagine without look down and stuff this be a really nice place to sit and have a picnic or anything like that The Moorings are pretty nice nice and quiet yeah it's actually about two penny past eight in the morning we thought we'd leave really early today well kind of early because we've seen day boats go past the last few days and stuff and there's been quite a lot of boats moving around which is great and but yeah we wanted to beat the rush with the locks but obviously we didn't beat it quite enough but never mind I was very - so no biggie and they look quite nice looks not too aggressive or anything it just yet [Music] [Music] stop done very lovely lady abbess at the puddles and the gate it just made a showing you know bit look I'm an auntie [Music] pride ourselves [Music] but this just takes the biscuit now I don't want to sound like a mining of his I'm not mine because it doesn't make my job that much harder but the chap in front he's gone through before us I helped him with the last one shut the gates for him but he's there that she just left the gate open this time wait and gone maybe he knows I'll come and shut it it is a little bit anyway just a little bit uh hi hi it could be worse you shut one so that's better than none just filling up lot number two I think it's safe to say they definitely take less time to empty than they do to fill and not too bad [Music] [Music] to know that we hold a chronica a node in the floor below the noise just he didn't shut the paddles on the first lock didn't shut the gate second lock didn't shut the gate so I'm I just asked him simply why didn't you shut the gate because I mean you can't get away with that surely just politely in our face we even shut the first gate with him to help so I don't know it's not gonna ruin our date but yeah [Music] so as you would have seen that quite politely let that guy know that it left the gate open and then we choke for him and all that I was expecting it to either go one or two ways either side quite rude to come out those mouths or just oh so really thank you but we didn't get either of those it's quite a strange reaction I think and I haven't seen a reaction like that since nothing cause it about first school but hi-hi I don't think I'll be helping him again oh yeah that's what I mean I wasn't expecting it to go Evo one of two ways in apology or or a thank you or some quite rude words but it was sort of a yeah but we ain't one it's not when you got Paul so Rockefeller buddy I'm much more buts wow this awkward analogy and IRET is done we've moved on that is what it is but if you say no he probably won't shuttle okay [Music] so guys we're coming up to our first sort of moorings in Nantwich and if you if you smell there you can still smell one column ran down there and it's a I think this is where they moored I think this might be near the aqueduct yeah pretty much very close you know so one on into the Bowman let's run our implants yeah horrific no I'm dating so we don't want to worry cuz I mean no one needs to see that from many women and now I'm sure this is a far more and other than that for them yes about a half an hour walk I think into the sort of town here and from what I can see there's a Morrison's and stuff on the map obviously we haven't been into the town yeah I think there's a Morrison's and the other shops dowdy things like that there's also um come not sure if there's rings yeah that's like an OK spot a little more office day we're gonna push on to the next ring area ish but yeah looks fairly decent and nice so those moorings going for in a while and then there's a gap where you can't more just on that sort of Bend bit and then they follow on and go on for quite a while and lots of boats around which is nice II [Music] and these moorings go on for quite a while they go on all the way [Music] just after the AquaDuck town there's a plenty of boats we've got peeps about there the wine bye and this is the wine bar that does looks like a number bow down that sentence job it's pretty cool like a little more care oh yeah today no yeah I think we're gonna have to go past these morons we did plan on Warren here but it's very very busy oh there's our solar bow there's a sorry now we want to sit in that maybe there's a boat coming for the bridges steady busy very busy indeed Wow very very much doubt it I don't know grab a little look I don't think so there's this fall tonight we were in attendance I'm not sure the endeavor 9 you will find out in about five minutes there we go moored up probably there a couple of days yeah not too bad though the room anywhere's bomb a thank you so much Oh anyways going thank you so much you take contactless your Facebook as well thank you thank you very much mr. fuel both hands he wanted the one bag of coal but he was more than happy to give it today and said to take his number and if I need anything just let me know he covers the rocky and gross canal forgotten the name it's called the land often yeah and if you want him that is his I'll get his number it'll be up on the screen but yeah it's brilliant bloke and really a price to twelve and for a bag of itself and I mustn't forget his wife's really nice as well not just him a boat very nice they do a great great service along this but the canal so if you need them yeah give them a ring or a text they say texture a number and what you need in there that's how you put an order yeah [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so again it's like a mini market it's the opposite mr. jenks a little girl cat and she's black this is the fudge which I'm sure we will have a peek at yeah solar boat and down there is the pizza boat and a wine boat as well booze boat yeah and here's a little a well I joined the olfactory monitors 100% now we thought we might head down to Morrison's to do a little bit of a shop it's about a 20 minute walk away we're not in absolute desperate need for a shop but there's a couple things that we need to pick up toilet wrong feeling one of them cat food things like that we thought we'd get it now and then I think this is a two-day moring so it means that we don't have to do it tomorrow and we can just chill out and enjoy your day the weather is quite nice meant to be a little bit rubbish tomorrow so it means we won't get stuck in the rain as well so yeah we're gonna head off in a bit and go and check out Morrison's hopefully it's no more than 25th because I feel a bit tired I don't know why we haven't come very far [Music] as you can see shopping very successful there's a couple of places here guys we can get parcels delivered this one's I heard me stop just outside Morris's and they just in the door is ours in collection point so it's quite handy if you need anything to live it so we've got back guys just unpacked yeah we need to put all this away now it's quite definitely guys pretty quick and of a water pistol one and probably about 20-25 minutes yeah we're good and I carry amount of stuff we didn't need loads and loads and I think most of the
