foreign [Music] this video explains how to configure a firewall policy for a PC to access internet on fortigate the shown topology is used in this video where the Gateway of the PC is firewall interface Port 3 and ISP is directly connected to fortigate for configuring the firewall policy on fortigate firewall we have to navigate to policy and objects then firewall policy click on create new first parameter to enter is the name of the policy [Music] next is the incoming interface as per our topology the incoming interface is port 3. [Music] outgoing interface is port 1. [Music] source is the pcip address we have to create the address for doing so we need to click on the plus sign which is undersourced then create address give it a name for Simplicity I am giving the name as pc1 IP will be 172.31.140.27-32 then click ok after clicking on OK the created address of pc1 will be visible here select it for it to appear in the source field next option which we have is the destination since the PC wants to access internet I will select the destination to all service is also all action is accept Nat has to be enabled as the traffic has to be allowed from private IP to public IP if you want you can enable the security profiles to restrict the access then set log allowed traffic to all sessions finally click ok after clicking on OK the created policy will appear here [Music] let's try to Ping to any public IP from the PC [Music] we can see that the Ping is successful [Music] we should be able to access internet now let's try to browse some websites [Music] let's open Google Chrome and access amazon.com thank you [Music] as you can see we are able to access the website amazon.com let's also try accessing facebook.com [Music] we can see that the websites are accessible due to firewall policy we can access internet from the PC foreign foreign [Music]
