hello everyone today we are going to configure OSPF and single area now first of all take three routers for different networks now take a switch each with the router take the end devices that is the computers that will be connected with a switch now connect the devices with the cables first of all for connecting PC and switch we are going to use copper straight through cable selecting Fast Ethernet port fastethernet 0/1 same way and another PC and the router ends which will be also be connected using copper straight to cable a fast ethernet 0 3 fastethernet 0/0 do the same for rest [Music] now connect the routers with the serial dte cable with a serial port 2 0 2 0 2 0 same as the serial 4 2 0 2 the serial port 3 0 the chocolaty has been configured and now we are going to configure the options first of all we will determine the IP addresses we'll change the name so that we can understand what we are up to different network over here now specifying the default gateway of each Network now for the third one now give specify the IP addresses or the serial ports remember it should be a different network as it is connected with routers now assign IP addresses to each PC desktop IP configuration and give the IP address same over here and the rest of them remember we have not specified the default gateway yet because we haven't configured the interface as a default gateway now go to the first router go to the come on line interface click now enter enable configure terminal now select the interface now give the IP address to the interface subnet mask of same class because here we are doing classful subnet it no shut for starting up the interface yeah there you can see the green light over here the interface has been started now exit select another interface that is serial to zero give the IP address to it with the subnet mask of Class A give no shut come on to start up the interface it's showing that this interface change state to down just type no shut come on once again to turn it on again now exit close the console now move to the another router second router that is now enter enable configure terminal now select the interface first one the fast ethernet give the IP address 192.168.1.1 space 255.255.255.0 and give the no-shit command to start up the interface you can see the green light is displayed exit now select the interface se to 0 there is a network of 10.0.0.0 now give the IP adress 10.0.0.0 5 v dot 0 dot 0 dot 0 now give the nose shut quran and you can see the connection has been established and the linkers up now exit and select the interface s30 that is connected to the 20.000 network now give the IP adress 20.00 to space 255.0.0.0 now give the nose shutdown command once again and it will turn on the interface now exit the router now switch to the third route ER now over here first of all no inner enable configure terminal select the interface first of all fast ethernet give the IP address 192.168.1.1 to give the nose shut command and the link is on now exit select the interface 20 select the interface SE 2/0 give the IP address 20.0 0.125 5.0 0.0 and give the nose shut down command now as we are configuring single area or SPF this all of the networks belongs to an single area which would be an area 0 area zero now we will specify the route for OSPF networks in a single area good at first router go to the configuration terminal and type the command us pf1 remember one is the process ID number of the OSPF now enter the network that are directly connected to the router network 192.168.1.0 give the wildcard mask that is the reverse of this subnet mask as OSPF requires wildcard mask for routes so 0.255 dot 255 dot 255 and specify the area space 0 this is the area 0 yeah and this is the wildcard mask of 192 168 1 dot 0 network inner now specify another network that is 10.0.0.0 and white cut mask of that 0 dot 0 dot 0 dot 255 and area 0 now exit the router switch to second router here go to configuration terminal and type the command us PF 1 1 is the process ID number it must be same in a single SPF area network 10000 white cut mass 0 dot 0 dot 0 to 255 area 0 network 20 dot 0 dot 0 dot 0 space 0 dot 0 dot 0 dot 255 area 0 yes no it is showing it is showing that at distances are made and the routing tables are loaded fully now network 192.168.1.0 0.255 255.255.0.0 router and switch to the third router we are go to configuration terminal and type the command LS pf1 now specify the directly connected networks that in network 192.168.0 wildcard mask of that and area will be 0 network 20.000 wildcard mask 0 dot 0 dot 0 dot 255 area 0 now exit the router now switch to the first router and type the command do show IP route it will show the route of the IP it is showing the network 20.000 and 192.168.20.10 at once it's a dot 3.0 let me check three that sir is a must and rightly said so now do show IP route and here it is it is showing 192.168.0 connected with OSPF now give the default gateways to the systems 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.1 it would be 192.168 to dot one that is the IP address of the fast internet code directly connected router say that 2.1 and 192.168.1 192.168.1 now ping from the first machine to the network 192.168.1.0 you can see the pings are being received first when pinging first time the first packet would be request timed out if you tie another time it will ping all of four of the packets yeah there it is now ping to the network 192.168.1.0 SPF as shown in the show IP routers thank you very much
