film club session but we recorded this as part of our monthly patreon watch along so some of our patrons watch this vista watch this with us online so you'll see like our videos a little bit different overall thoughts overall i mean good old-fashioned hack and slash uh it was everything i anticipated and more uh i mean cannibalistic orgy that's that's that's always a plus i mean i will say the thing that probably surprised me in a good way the most was the lack of dialogue like at first i was like why aren't they talking this is weird but the more it went on the more i was like i'm actually okay with this because it makes sense like they're you know this isn't a dialogue heavy nomadic barbarian yeah words aren't necessary i loved the do you want to live forever that whole bit that was great that line is said again in another movie that's on our list oh okay i can't wait for you to watch it and see it okay well it never tells me anything i love the music the soundtrack the score it was great yeah that was like the best part for me uh or one of the best parts for me biggest like what uh obviously james earl jones was not prepared for him was not prepared for him in that wig um yeah i'm glad you didn't know he was in the movie that's why i was asking you if you only knew that arnold was in the movie yeah and who is and it literally popped up a minute ago as the cast was going by the guy who played the king max von sadao yeah like what else was he like i know his voice i know i know him okay i haven't seen flash gordon so it's gotta be something else exorcist yeah that was it he was the father the priest yeah i want to say he's done voice work or maybe i'm just like he sounds kind of familiar star wars the force awakens oh vigo okay the voice yeah the voice actor whomever he is or the actor that did the voice for in skyrim he's the one that you have to go esper esburn is that him [ __ ] yes yes i'm so proud of myself i was literally just scrolling through his imdb and like i just got to that part oh wait i was like i was like elder scrolls sky around me dear diary today you got it [Music] ah congratulations i've done it oh oh but yeah no what's your favorite part like i mean other than score the score the the weird crazy succubus sexy just hilarious uh his whole uh gladiator montage where he went from like being pushed into the pit to being like the king of the pit was great uh yeah and the uh her coming back at the end all clad and silver with the wings it looks like a valkyrie that was cool um i'm gonna say this one was probably 8.3 because this was very good it was longer than i anticipated i didn't actually i don't know what the run time was um i think it was about two hours but i mean it it was longer than i anticipated but i'm not necessarily mad at it because it set up a really good story like you saw his you know ascent in his i like it it didn't take i mean it took its time and it didn't rush anything yeah i felt like so that's fine but it didn't drag i think yeah what'd i say eight point two three point three i can't remember no it was an eight eight points it was not eight point five but it was higher than eight eight point three thank you so much y'all i need all the help i can get lord mercy oh the weather is like crazy like it's thundering yeah like it's like a when i opened the front door it just looked like there was a strobe like in the sky how about non-stop lightning i wish i could take the camera and show have i told y'all about matthew the weather man i can't remember if this was like another live stream i'll tell it again because it's always funny like matthew is the world's greatest weatherman because he literally goes and stands at the door like he'll open the door and like stand just outside and just look up for about five or six seconds take a little look it's raining outside just like yes weather's pretty bad i step outside to watch the weather and it makes me happy it's like one of one of us like that's like top five favorite things about him top 10 favorite things about him yeah anyways um what would you rate it uh seven and a half seven and a half that's pretty high for you okay it's a pretty solid movie i i enjoy it it's also got that nostalgia factor for me because i watch this it's one of those movies i watched a lot as a kid oh do y'all see my
