Completing Our Mountain Build - Valheim

[Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] hello everyone i'm cryptic fox and welcome back to purgatory we're playing some more valheim tonight we're headed back to the snowy peak to the lodge that we've been building at the top of the mountain uh to see what we can do to try to polish off that uh that second wing of the building i was working on and maybe add some decorations i don't know we might we might just finish the building and then go adventuring in the plains or something to kill stuff and gather materials and what have you um but welcome everybody who's here in the chat so far if you're to all of our top tier mistakes for maid members that were highlighted at the start of the stream uh last time we were playing we got the framework kind of built out of the uh the crafting room i'm gonna have at the end the one end of the building um but we kind of ran out of materials in time so we didn't get it finished in terms of like roofing and walls and stuff so we're gonna do that uh we were building kind of a neat fireplace sort of thing there at least i think it was neat and uh yeah we're trying to get that polished off and then build uh some stuff in there to do like well actually i probably have the whole metal back so uh because there's a few things i still want to make that i haven't hauled the metal for i haven't had time been super busy during the day and stuff so i haven't really had the time to like squeak in any uh gathering and stuff uh but we do need to bring some metal back here to our fancy uh our fancy well i guess it's a lodge kind of thing so we do things like uh the hanging lights and that kind of stuff the hanging sconces i've been doing a little bit of decorating in here so we've got some banners and stuff and we got some carpets and things that uh echt there up on the stuck on the wall above the fireplace where i think it's a good place for him but a little bit more light up here would be good if we could actually kind of get some of that built out but it does add a comfort level of 11 in here now so we uh we can actually rest in here and get our our fancy resting buff for 18 whole minutes rug elsewhere we definitely need a plush rug in the tower yeah i've got like three of them now so over here this one is the uh the locks rug here and then i got three of the wolf rugs around the bed and i put up like a bench at the end here so we can like sit at the end of the bed put our socks on or whatever um i didn't really do any other building or anything i just sort of uh i had a short amount of time i was able to spend doing a little bit of decorating there and then this side over here if you didn't see it before is where we're crafting things uh this is the i'm sure we had a stone there actually it looks like some of the stuff is misaligned now i don't i don't know what happened huh maybe something to do with one of the updates they pushed um yeah but this is gonna be our fireplace here or a big hearth kind of thing uh and then uh yeah so we're gonna do like some crafting in here and then out back here i'm gonna have stuff to make uh charcoal like charcoal kilns and things back here as well so still a few things to go where's the area that i torture nate uh we just kick him off the side of the mountain and let the drakes deal with him that's the plan anyway always doesn't get feisty and kill off our drake pets oh i've got a bunch of hector heads on me still too i guess i should put those away i don't really need to carry these around i think i need is that guy talking to me all the time getting your butt handed to you and they are billions ah such a good game i had a lot of fun with their billions some of the levels are definitely challenging uh all right i'm gonna fix the floor here because i kind of didn't do that before when we broke it much better and it won't fall in there okay so my plan is to use uh core wood around the side so we'll have like log uh sort of log walls like we do on the rest of the building um i haven't really still figured out how i'm gonna merge the roof pieces together because they're at different heights so that's not quite gonna work out exactly the way i'd like although i guess i don't know like i don't know how i ended up with a different height on that other side i feel like i built this oh that's how i use the core law or the uh the core wood logs so it gave me a slightly different height oh well i'm not undoing at all i'm too lazy we'll just go ahead and build with what we got well he blames the building arizona updates but it wasn't like this before there was a stone here we had that finished um and this one on the back here didn't stick out that way so i'm not sure what's up either way it's fine uh i do need stone to finish that but i think first we'll work on uh getting this rooftop finish here a little framing for our fancy roof and if i could manage to stay on the ladder oh look at my shadow that's weird mr bunny light begins how you doing uh okay so 45 degrees slap this on there there we go and i think i'm in the wrong spot to be able to put yeah figures all right i gotta smash this thing move it over a little bit bumping my head up here okay so that'll be our framework uh we got a roof on here and then things will start to feel a little bit uh less snowy it'll be novel that's a mess adorable mr buddy limikins yeah yeah is that uh this is valham kind of like this is sparta this is hmm it's a bit of a weird merger there the roof kind of like dips into it a little bit there uh i wonder if i can change well see if i can see if i can change the way that this is set up maybe so it'll actually merge in a little bit nicer um i think these corner pieces though are gonna be not right i can't even get it to match up with the roof i've already got yeah i mean that kind of overlaps no no it doesn't never mind it's not even close to right maybe i can put them inside here or something yeah it's gonna be a bit of an ugly entrance i think i think we might just have to suffer for it it's not what those are for well the idea is so the the roof that we had before over here um we had these little corner pieces and it all kind of merged in because these these were the same these are the same height but this one over here isn't so much uh so it's not quite going to blend the way we want it to yeah i don't know whatever uh we'll go uh actually if i use the slightly different angled roof here and kind of overlap a little bit like that it's gonna be a weird merger here so like inside now i've got this weird little dippy roof thing it's mostly closed sort not roof was a different available um i guess i should have used the uh the core wood logs to make the pillars here instead of using uh these are regular wood pillars it's all right we'll make it work put a chest up there it's a speed hole marge i feel like that's on a weird that'll be alright when i put the slopey roof on it um actually this spot here above the the uh the hearth i should probably keep open because i'm gonna need to build i'm gonna do a little bit more stone work on that thing and then we can do the peaky roofs up the rest of this thing i know this environment the sound the moon the way the light reflects in the water uh all that wonderful snow i don't know if the other dragon another dragon i get spawned down there yet uh okay let's get some stone because we're gonna need that i need some lights out here too you know i'm gonna sleep in the bed and make it daytime feel like a night sucks yeah there's some wolves down the mountain howling but uh they're not up here at the moment anyway hey rabbit dog how's it going breaks up measuring tape wow we got here early hello honey bear who's not supposed to be on electronics at this time of night oh i wanted stone right let's grab that in here uh 390 just about 444. all right so this one can go in here i swear i did that before we ended the stream last time but something's not right here give me that oh what a time to save mid jump ah okay that's a little better oh that one's like it's not merging together quite the way i thought it would oh well kind of works um that's better oh just finished with a stream hey ricky how you doing joe dameron how's it going what am i building we're doing a uh a winter lot did i not do the roof on that side i thought i did look like a winter lodge kind of thing over here uh up at the top of the mountain so we've got like uh this side over here is gonna be my crafting area we got like a hearth that i'm working on here and then at the other end we've got our tower that has our sleeping chamber in it and there's like a central area i haven't decided exactly what to do with it yet it's kind of like the uh my biking reception hall sort of area it's not very inviting though it's kind of a little spartan at the moment there we go i don't know if i should go much higher than this i can put like a little rooftop thing on here now and that will sort of let the smoke out chimney needs to be wider otherwise how you how will you fit down oh i can fit down there don't you worry all right maybe not ah i know you're right i can't fit down the chimney it sort of rules out christmas doesn't it no more santa claus oh ran out of stone i think i might be completely out of stone now ah blast i'm so close it's cool though i like it uh i guess we're gonna finish the roof here oh actually um hmm now that i've got this thing built so high can i even get it back up to the top of it no i can't oh i died uh shortest fall death ever i think i might have neglected to eat some food maybe oh yeah elizabeth i definitely should have eaten yep that's right [Laughter] uh i feel a little naked that's all right we got uh and our body just over here i feel cold my body's still laying there i wonder if i got to leave my corpse there that's kind of cool decorative corpse now all right note to self eating food is good it fell on my axe yeah look how far the putback your skills i don't know you can't really tell unless you like check them out ahead of time but i've had all kinds of random deaths oh my god my body's staying there that's amazing oh i wanted to keep it oh well uh yeah i don't know if i can get up on the roof this way nope definitely can't funny because you can you can practically run up walls in this game sometimes and then other times not so much all right well i have to build a ladder out the outside i guess since that is clearly not gonna be an option uh let's get our roofing in here hopefully that doesn't cut into the fireplace enough to actually block the smoke i don't think it will all right boom it's got a roof actually i kind of like the way this hearth looks it looks cool uh it does need uh disney little certain something we gotta have the uh what do you call it the thing with the stuff that does the the other thing what they call that thing you know the one mechanized of the super sticker critically hit it was a critical hit thanks for the super sticker um this thing the you know actually that kind of looks a little weird that it's really rounded what if i should just do like regular wood beams i think the wood beams might look better [Music] there's a requirement oh i put all the wood back didn't i the mantle yes thank you that's what i meant i've already over taxed my brain today i've got no more room in it for words it's called the mental that's right when it's me it's it is the mental all right there we go so we got a little mantle above there looking fancy looking fancy i need some walls in here now test the fire it should be fine oh i don't have a i don't have a top on it just yet so it's probably gonna go but see how much smoke actually goes up the top versus coming in my room so hard to tell actually there's a fair amount coming in the room i may not have set the hearth back far enough all right i think i'm gonna have to shift that back a little bit i like how far forward it is because it's got like the stone you know like a lintel or whatever it is but i'm stuck there we go all right let's try that again uh with a little less a little less forward i guess oh actually yeah some of the some of the fire's gonna be in the wall but i'm sure it'll be fine i hope it works because i've already built the uh darn it it's definitely exposed to the weather um what the should relit itself yeah that's not quite working the way i want there's a little bit too much smoke coming into the room of this so that means i get to of here oh i'm already oh uh i need to make a chest in here stick it right here for now collect all my stone don't need to tear it all down well i want the stones to be a little bit further in set here so that i've got a little bit more room i mean i guess i could do just the back wall part of it maybe that might work um but either way i'm gonna need i need a little more room if we do like the back here i could set that farther back make the chimney opening a little bit bigger [Applause] seem to have dropped some stones there we go all right see i don't know if this is going to work even if i hmm that's weird if it's on an angle it snaps if it's not on an angle it doesn't what is going on here yeah like so i guess this could raise the cliff and make two blocks still in wide well the clip will only go up so high before it stops allowing me to raise it anymore blast you cliff okay so now if i have the uh the hearth set in here i need to be toward the back of this thing like that but that might be too much now oh no that'll work all right so that'll let me set it a little bit farther back and have the uh i have to fire more in line with the opening i don't get my fancy stone uh stone little thing here but that's okay we'll make do oh i'm gonna do this one um got it locked no it's cause i'm standing on it there we go okay now at the front i need those arches again i can't jump that eye just wait like eight years someone's gonna have elective art class minecraft 101 yeah just you wait you need to go back and take some remedial minecraft building lessons probably probably but minecraft has the uh anti-gravity when you're building so you know that's no good and you also can't really blend blocks together so i don't think it's gonna it's gonna be all that helpful stupid minecraft i thought for sure i was gonna walk off the end and just fall off the mountain okay uh stonewall again do a lot of stone good grief looks much better yeah it's got a much better opening i was hoping that that skinny opening would work all right but clearly not so much that's okay though we got it sorted run out of stone again and there it is i gotta get more stone and christmas is back on again on fire i thought i was going to be able to get out i still want to have more of the stone come out to the front here i think i can uh can probably accomplish that i'm going to need more stone though to do it if i can get it lined up with these lower blocks then i can get it to come out that'll be right uh i do need more stone though um probably i can just go down the mountain get some i guess as long as i'm stupid drake doesn't come along and attack me bill we started from the top now we're here that's opinion it on a stone floor block yeah that might work too we'll see if it'll get it to fit in there as long as i can get it to snap to the right point then uh then that'll work oh look some of the stone i was working with down here i think this is actually stone yes it is yeah we can have santa again hooray if people are still playing valhalla at christmas time we're ready for santa [Applause] claus that's not what i wanted only person i'll watch play this everyone else i would uh i do watch that play this started like a month after fox and can't not yell them for stupid stuff oh yeah we actually we got on the game like uh day one there's some people that were playing a hardcover there they're like way ahead of me far away was that wolf sounds kinda close oh yep that's definitely close stupid wolves give me your meat and your fur they're like he finally came down from his mountaintop get him eat stone go mind the pillars in the plane's bomb yeah but why go all the way there when i've got stones right here oh jesus dude i thought i hit him there completely i didn't i'm down stay away from my foxhole i'm out of stamina oh i don't have my resting buff that's probably why i was skilled in there too shot him in the butt that's right that's what you get stupid drake's krypton gives grinch coming down from his mountain top that's right all those who's down in whoville i need to get a third food type too i kind of i was busy uh building last time i didn't prep any i'd eat my resting buff this slower generation's just not gonna cut it especially with only two foods right now just by the bottom of the bill the top of the pro collapse and you'll get a ton of stone yeah but i'd still have to go out there and do it i only need a little bit more if i was starting like a giant castle build or something and i needed a ton of stone sure but i'm already right here and i only need a little stone [Music] so sounds like someone's getting in trouble my uh my eight-year-old has become quite precocious lately and by precocious i mean not precocious i can't i can hear that i could hear her get in trouble i got him stuck come on just a little further ah there we go i just can't believe i just popped the thing to climb up a mountain i should just use x here he was on the way to bone man yeah i found mine on my way to get to uh the elder yes supercalifragilisticexpialidocious that's right you got her all right i'm gonna go sleep we got a resting buff and then uh get some daylight here too i'm not sure what she's getting in trouble for not being precocious enough she's uh she's gotta be quite a little troublemaker she's always getting into stuff she's know she's not supposed to now oh your footsteps approaching comfort level 11 sweet i really need lights in here this is crazy holy chris now for the huge super but i have to cover it over otherwise the snow will keep putting the fire out so if we can get this to kind of fits it's sort of almost there we go okay so that'll let the uh i'll let the smoke out but it'll keep the uh the snow from putting the fire out on me ah all right that was a bit of a fall oh shoot i'm gonna put a wood again more wood no joking box but how much is maple syrup in the great white north uh i mean our kids actually it's weird but our kids don't like real maple syrup they prefer the fake stuff so i haven't bought one and bottled it in ages i don't actually know what the price is anymore uh 500 super chance is limit is there i didn't realize there was a limit on them never tested it before i guess uh all right roof is done finally keep the snow out of here huzzah uh now i just gotta fix the floor down here because i kind of want something here if i can get this to line up right that block's not working no maybe i can do uh like this one works i can do that oh come on really really i need like two pieces of stone just two rotten game i couldn't really get any closer than that yes there is a limit for anti-fruit okay dropped 500 before elsewhere oh all right gazillion dollars okay i think i've found a problem with how i did this it looks good i like the look of it but uh if i build cooking fires on top of it i don't know i can get in there a little bit i wonder if i'll be able to reach the stuff that i'm cooking to be able to pick it up that may present a problem i'm not i'm not sure but i think it might oh i gotta get rid of these things down here too uh oh that's weird whatever i can go spider-man okay we need to seal all this in now with some wall type stuff don't ask your dad for money as your kids and say sure i'll give you could be a buck 250 oh yeah friend of mine is a genuine one million dollar bill from zimbabwe oh nice what's a million dollar million dollars from zimbabwe worth spending wise like 50 bucks 100 bucks oh i can't snap very well here sinking into the floor though of seals it off more like zero about one cent the currency totally got devalued on the world stage it's worth nothing won't even buy you a loaf of bread nice that's a good souvenir oh that's not good uh that's a good souvenir to have though how am i gonna get this to snap properly if this thing's not gonna cooperate i guess i could snap to the top of it like that assuming it will let me stack underneath it i'm gonna find out acquiring mines wanna know yeah it works right until there and then it doesn't sweet sure he staggers the logs but not the bricks that's right darn right we don't need proper brick work just thought it would look weirder with the uh the stone the thing is um most of the most of the stone pieces are gonna be outside of my base where i'm not gonna see them most of the time can the last one fit in there the final countdown no it doesn't fit come on don't be that way game i mean with that some of that regular wood making ladder carrying too much i've got too much of the coveted weight back i was really breaking into the dough just before christmas two years ago i was watching someone get 5k and uh in a stream they're watching where they get snobby oh wow it's weird how that people change that way there we go that'll work bam it's beautiful oh you know what it just occurred to me now that i've built all that i kind of feel like a window would have been nice over there when i had a good view of stuff i could still make one i guess it's like bust out a couple of these logs oh it's beautiful that's exactly the way a wall is supposed to be and i'm too too heavy get rid of some of this stuff here turn it down but a window i'm not turning the whole thing down we'll just make a we'll make an opening there for a window uh and then if i use the uh smaller pieces here this would've been easier than trying to stack it too now that i already did the work of trying to stagger it at all it's beautiful now we can see out a little scenery it's perfect i think i'll do a window in here too maybe hmm all right oh no no one expects donations like that don't even start that's ridiculous oh windows do you watch the wolves eat nate that's the idea see i'm thinking like if we roll nate down the hill it's important to be able to know that he got properly consumed you know like the wolves have got to chew before they swallow kind of thing it's important for their health oh no i kind of want to have a window here too so maybe break these off oh i broke oh i broke my hammer i was like why did i punch my wall crafting station needs to be under a roof of course it does uh i got one inside perfect your heating bill must be atrocious yeah we're up in the mountains and we have windows that don't have glass and can't be closed it's uh maybe not the most wise decision and yet it's in keeping with my gameplay to not make the wise decision so here we are okay vertical ones in here damn it's kind of a small window but given we don't have glass i guess it'll have to do stupid vikings that are not having glass by the way such as i need to check out project zomboid maybe who can play that for your next multiplayer game since you finished green hell yeah we're trying to think of what to play um i've seen project zomboid and i was kind of interested in trying it but i just i haven't taken the time to do it oh i got comfort 2 in here fancy the stone bench is going to be a nuisance i think since i'm done with that fireplace now i can smash this thing get it out of my road no someone's not lining up here we got a gap i can't have a gap back there we go shogu archer uh yeah we don't have either of them actually um yeah we don't have the shutters or the other thingy types during those vikings their lack of bathrooms i don't think i will get this last one to snap properly come on hmm if i go outside it'll work kind of might not be here yeah i'll try it from outside and see if we can get it to the lineup i just needed to be able to hit the underside of the log but the camera angle doesn't really change when you crouch down in this game and it's not there we go the last one's gonna be a real pain oh actually it snapped right away sweet get it to line up right give me what i want beauty oh i gotta belong i like how the mountain fog makes the inside of my building all foggy too it looks like there's smoke in here what the heck all right this spot here is a little weird i wonder if i could just do logs across there too sort of like i have at the tower side i snap a log here that blended weird twin blade zone just donated 5k to you it's in your discord wow he's so generous uh i can't get it there we go okay so that's not perfect but oh it's still not closed up there and i'm gonna block that little opening last you game i need like uh angled roof pieces or something like not ones that are for corners but just have like a triangular shape to them i guess technically i can leave it open i just feel a little weird having that gap there hmm ah i need a ladder again doesn't quite line up but it'll do okay so back here did they yeah okay for a second i thought one side was a little bigger than the other but it is bigger what the oh that's kind of weird oh there we go we just wasn't learning the stone okay better hey granny fox this is making me feel cold hey corey well come summertime i'm sure people will appreciate it but uh yeah i'm looking forward to the snowstorm stopping it's kind of a nuisance oh it's a requirement i need more core wood i was like how to get iron here but then i remembered i smashed that bench somewhere here i got my gore wood hiding oh hell coy fox would make more money be it be built in a bikini no no it wouldn't i'm pretty sure everyone would leave and rightly so did i get this idea from glaad like as in the garbage bag people if so then i'm gonna go with not so much i just i was playing with my buddy nate and i decided i want to build on top of him the mountain and then uh i hadn't really built any viking buildings that had like the viking shape so i decided to make one now we've got like a long cabin log thing up on top of the mountain perfect fit that one looks crooked there we go very nice it's gonna be a real pain coming back here with all the metal we're gonna need to set up lights now the streamer uh no shame you should check out his captain cool yeah there's a there's a lot of people playing the game i'm not familiar with that particular streamer i'm afraid but uh i got a chance to go take a look i know some people have had some really crazy creative builds i saw someone who had done like a recreation of the notre dame cathedral that looked pretty incredible i don't know whether they built it in uh like a creative mode where they had unlimited supplies or if they actually gathered all the materials or not but it was still pretty cool again okay oh i need a door i guess that's kind of an important thing isn't it before or after it burned down i'm gonna assume it was before since you can't make the pieces in this look burn i don't think just one streamer has decided to do this so i highly doubt yeah yeah no i didn't see anybody else doing this but i didn't really look either so it's it is entirely possible that others have done something similar sleep time it was a hunchback that did it yeah there's a gap no where's the gap i'm gonna go back and look you like the trollhead thomas the tank yes that one looks really cool i kind of want to build like a giant scarecrow that uh has a troll head out of a troll and like a a fermenting keg is the body or something where is it oh my god all right there was a gap messed the whole thing up why is it doing that it's not snapping to the piece i'm telling it to come on game don't be like that snapping to this thing instead of the log i'm pointed at there we go don't mess with me oh but see now it doesn't point doesn't poke through the same way i think the first log is too far down the way that it snapped it stuck the log like a little bit too far into the floor piece i think no it might work better now don't mess with me same thing g'day mate silly question is anyone ever trying to climb the world tree uh nope i don't think i mean i you can't even find the base of it i don't think at the very least i haven't found the base of it but i i guess in fairness i haven't explored all that far uh but i'm gonna go with no i i haven't done it and i don't know anyone else that has either well that doesn't stick through the same way that's not good come on game don't mess with me got all the way to here and then my build is not working right that's not centered if that works i still thought i saw a gap there but i think it's okay got it stupid gaps they should make a voice activated inventory in a game like this voice activated inventory so like when you say uh give me a log or whatever and they would switch over to it it'd be different all right it's not flawless so there's some weird angle going on there whatever it's not flawless but it'll do this is this is a viking building anyway it's not gonna be exactly uh exactly perfect oh can i not put that there vr inventory yeah there we go missing requirement i got a newborn wood let's go ahead and go back we'll take these man we're almost finished oh wait that's the size of this is gonna be huge i'm gonna have to put some core wood above the door i think when i make it lockers aren't flawless so they're more natural this way yeah that's what we'll go with would be like oh man that was flawed by design it's a part of the aesthetic any crack spackle nobody wants to see my plumber crack organize and call it your weapons that could be kind of cool i guess big ah sword it might be kind of weird though if you were just i guess um it's like uh if you're talking to your friend or you're a streamer or something you're talking about like i gotta go make a i gotta get that sword or whatever i made my sword and i hit it with him or something and then it's like seeing how you're holding your sword you didn't mean to still let me kind of neat interface that one didn't work there treble ammo now we need a door back here that's some shoddy construction right there what happened here oh what the heck did that piece that's weird no why is that gap odd oh i got the coin piece wrong uh like so seriously don't feel this good game there got it we should fire the carpenter i can't fire myself all right it's sealed we have an enclosed room uh minus the door and you know the windows that i don't have any windows in them um i kind of want a big door back here again similar to what we have up front i'm not sure i can get this to merge in here quit the way i want there we go there now we got a people-sized door instead of those little miniature ones and it mostly fits i mean it's it it's a little bit off but uh the more important thing is that it's a decent sized door instead of that little itty bitty one right uh so back here of course is where we're gonna do our uh our charcoal kilns i'm gonna have to build up the train back here a little bit again i think because it's uh it's a little bit on the uh on the on the small side for what i want back here but that's okay we got uh we have time to do that let's see if we can put our little crafting things in here i kind of want oh i can't um shoot i think i can yeah i can fit a cauldron on one side of it then we'll do the cooking racks on the other side uh so i'll just have like a couple of them in here i guess so we'll do like three in there and then i'll do a cauldron on the other side and then hopefully i can still yeah i can do i can still put firewood in it from the front the tricky part will be like whether the meat's just gonna fall into the fire back there when i go to pick it up i have a question what are you doing more car mechanic uh every now and then people ask that um i haven't really been intending to go back to car mechanics simulator unless they happen to come up with a new version of it or something uh i played quite a bit of it i got a little bit um a little bit tired of doing the same thing over and over again i say as i'm building something in a game for the 400 millionth time yeah it's uh i've kind of been uh kind of waiting to see whether they would come up with a new version of the game and um so far they haven't unfortunately okay so that will finish that off obviously we're gonna need lighting and stuff in here uh i think when it comes to like the fermenting kegs those take metal maybe yeah i need copper for those that's the forge cooler where's the uh there it is here bronze for that bronze for the fermenters um i can probably put like a proper crafting bench in here take the one that i have sitting outside and move it inside now open the gate now we can go have i got any ancient bark yep i have ancient bark we can make an ancient spear i just have it sitting back it's uh oh i haven't put the chest in here yet either uh i have it sitting back at the other base where should i put my crafting bench i wonder i kind of want like a one side to have like all my well i can put my kegs like here for example against this wall or i could put like kegs around if i think i can fit what four in here if i put them on like a bench kind of thing back here then i could build a bar and have like the the kegs to ferment back here oh apparently i'm out of wood i had wood what's going on here oh i don't i know what it is i don't have my crafting station i broke it all right let's put this back here i guess can you make a bonfire i can't make a bonfire yeah i have to do one like out front maybe trying to remember bonfire equals fine wood plus asian bark was core wood plus certainly cores yeah i have uh where is it here there's the bonfire there yeah one certainly core five ancient bark five fine wood and five core wood this game has beer it has uh look at the size of this thing let's put it in our house um it has mead but it's not like it doesn't have like beer it has mead same idea i guess but okay i want to do uh i want to do like a little shelf back here that i can put my put my fancy mead kegs on that's a lot big how big are these things yeah all right i guess i do need a proper size in there um regular size floor on here i guess okay so on this we can put our kegs oh yeah we're gonna we're gonna it's gonna take some trips to get some metal and stuff so we've got that and then uh i want to build like a bar kind of thing here yeah kinda i swear that's not really centering it's like snapping off center there we go now we're gonna need some seats in here uh the stools would be perfect but i need fine wood for that so we can't do that just yet i kind of want to hmm i'm gonna line that up just a little bit differently maybe oh really i want to get it to there we go better don't snap on me perfect back the old days the barn didn't have stools or chairs yeah you just stood at the bar but that's fine there we go we're gonna need like uh where's my somewhere here i put some nails away i bending and stuff is really hard on my back because i kind of messed up back oh our poor pig i've been totally abusing this little guy he loves me but he's starving and all alone and i've kept him that way keeping him as a lean mean fighting machine i should probably eat something too possibly put x braces on them and then uh put item stand in the middle maybe maybe like the uh the weird part is the the board patterns like if i could do see like they stick through right it's kind of weird i don't know i'll never be satisfied [Music] okay somewhere i think i had fine wood unless i used it automatic boar feeder maybe get him a 3d print one for me oh my fire went out and by the way well that sucked i should probably make some other food here too cook up some serpent meat take that with me and we'll try it out at our other base there and see how if i can actually reach it um before i do that i'm gonna get some uh uh i gotta get some fine wood no maybe i'll make a daytime first let the drinks come to your base in the meadows and kill all your borers really i've i have not seen the drakes come out here so far at this base i've had trolls attack uh i i've had the uh um the wichita calls it attack you know the guys from the woods with the things and stuff i cannot talk today i am not language like i have no words yeah the moving forest one uh and then i had the drawer attack when i was next to the swamp but i've never seen that like anything come to a place that wasn't close by you know like uh i don't know starts with something like a chill blows in from the mountain oh worth of boats by the way you can dismantle one or two of those i guess i could i feel like a viking breaking apart his boats to make a trophy thing though i don't know seems feels a little too anti-viking that gets me 14 how much do i need to make this thing i want to make only four all right so that's good i can make like three of them maybe we'll chop down one more just to save myself starting to pop in it's the weirdest delay i don't get it don't seem to have this delay in other parts of the forest just here or if there's a whole big patch of them gotta make some more jam but i that game lately i've been playing a lot more survival games and stuff because i just felt like playing survival games um this one's been pretty fun grounded's been fun i don't know i don't really rank stuff as favorites so much yeah my favorites minecraft that's right can't get enough minecraft man i have these mushrooms over here too maybe oh my god my pig can eat today i've got mushrooms to give them lucky pig ah yes xcom percentage unknown that's a good game for it yeah a long time ago when i was in high school uh i didn't have a computer at the time and my girlfriend did and she had xcom so i used to like playing it at her house any game that doesn't require tater aim don't require tater aim and ain't no good um okay i need the i want the fine wood here but i guess i don't really need necessarily all that did i date her just for access to x-com uh it wasn't for access to xcom it was for wholesome games of monopoly [Laughter] uh this is another berry patch here but i must say this must be the ones i picked already what's the next thing you're working uh towards here i'm not i'm so i've got the most of the build done for the mountaintop building i want to do some decorating and stuff but i'm thinking of heading back off to the plains today um i don't know for a half time but i uh i want to try and gather some more silver and bring it back so i can upgrade my weapons because i'm i'm still using the iron sword i'd kind of like to switch to the silver sword and or make one of those fancy weapons like the big spiky macy thing there's no such thing as wholesome games of monopoly that's just yelling and crying he did tons of damage while he was vomiting and the poison didn't do much oh yeah yeah if you've got the uh the mead that gives you poison resist and stuff that certainly helps a lot any one day show your face bro uh i'm gonna put a face behind your voice i actually have uh i have videos on the channel that have my face in them you just like do a search on the channel for like channel updates or something um i have videos there and every actually even some of the uh some of the horror games i've played lately i've used my uh did a bird just fly through my house uh a couple of horror games i've played lately i've used the camera uh all right so i got everything i need now i guess the mushroom oh wait wait wait i was gonna feed the pig the mushrooms this time normally i just stick them in my food chest but all right pig and don't get spoiled thinking you're gonna get food all the time he doesn't never starve to death he just gets grumpy frost hammer is the best i mean i've i've had mixed uh mixed opinions from people on the different weapons so we have uh i guess well we actually over here i have to craft it i guess are we so there's frostner i want to take mirror flash freezing glands silver and ancient bark i have everything there except for the silver i don't have enough of that um where's that mace one bronze mixed iron mace there's the silver sword also takes a ton of silver and there's one other two there's one of the weapons like this needly thing which i don't see here so maybe i haven't gotten the thing to unlock it yet undead do not like silver yeah no windows aren't there thieves no thieves okay let's take our stuff back and do some some building not a fan of the app gear i haven't tried it yet actually i haven't even built it froster is good as it uh does slow down the silver weapon damage uh the other just does epic damage well it's got those big uh big green glowy spiky things on it does seem pretty epic okay let's do uh the wall mount eating first here if i can get on my own bar there we go then we need ecthere's head so i can't even get close enough to like mount the thing on it there we go boom i don't know if i should leave it up there or put ecthere's head over the fireplace the same way as i have in my tower room yeah i believe for now uh okay i also want to do some uh oh i was gonna make some mugs i have so the item stand you can put stuff on your on the bar with here put a couple mugs on the bar i didn't check to look and see how to make the mugs though ever play god hand back in the day uh no i don't think i ever did and that doesn't ring any bells at all see where joshua lets game it out beat all his enemies using campfires i did see that yeah and he might be responsible for them having a thing in the patch notes uh that the campfires take damage now when they damage things so yeah but i did see that i guess they didn't want some people were using campfires to like uh farm spawn points and uh let's game out did the whole like boss fight thing but yeah they nerfed the campfire so they took damage now uh i gotta see how to make those mugs i want some mugs sorry if i asked some questions it's just my curiosity i mean the whole point of having a live stream is to be interactive with people so i don't mind if i was gonna uh i never understood um people who go live on live streams and then complain when people ask them things i mean like come on isn't that like the large proportion of why your streaming is to be interactive okay how do i make the mugs where are those darn things oh they are tankered uh come on i literally just left off the fine wood at the other place dead streams i mean listen i get it when you're like if you're a huge streamer and you've got like thousands of people in your chat tens of thousands whatever and the chat's going by so fast you can't really read it that i totally get like like what are you gonna do there you you can't you just can't keep up with the content um but if i you know for somebody who doesn't have a really busy stream to be non-interactive just seems pointless to me i don't want to destroy a boat i like all my boats even though they're all just totally sitting there collecting barnacles some of those are my swamp boats i think i have to have to go back and check but i feel like i brought some swamp boats back this way to carry metal or something uh oh i need uh i need resin which we have plenty of flip what's upside down and you have a comedy slice i uh i flipped one over when i was sailing the one time in a storm it righted itself but it scared me for a minute i thought i was going under like a like a full-on like uh aileron roll with a boat point of livestream is yellow people i'm not there now it's just going to be like really thick a bowl of soup a bowl of soup would be perfect actually uh i need to make some uh some stew or something hold on i gotta i gotta go back and get the meat so we can cook it i'm actually i guess i'll have to make it back at the house so um i don't have a cauldron here yet i gotta bring some metal for that should show people your whole mountaintop base people haven't seen how epic it is it's not really that epic it's uh it's relatively small but bigger than this shack is that's what i've seen while he's walking around putters a shame oh i'll uh combination but whatever you happy with the new update uh yeah i mean this new update didn't really have a ton of changes in it so sure i mean i haven't really felt the significant difference or anything maybe it's just me i saw them beat that on survivor once i saw the meeting of the flintstones once any drinks trying to wreck the buildings nope they haven't attacked it at all actually yeah we're pretty much done with the building portion of it i need uh i need to do some more decorating and stuff inside and it sounds like something's attacking my fpr keep that alone you jerk i got the bees attack me when i go over there if they're fighting all right there we go give me some honey pig was so hungry i gave him three mushrooms i didn't even need them all we nailed one of the serpent meat to the wall just to mount it yeah um we can let me actually if i grab this off of here i am curious how big the serpent meat is i mean it doesn't go bad so oh you can't detach it i might be able to put it on like a table top one though take we'll take some serpent with this so i'll see how big it is on the uh the table top attachment it might have to be cooked first though maybe came out one of the boss heads above the mantel on the on the mount top base yeah um you actually can move this one over there i don't have a collection of the boss heads so much i mean i i killed ecthere a few times uh just to get some of the some of his heads but i only got like four of them he dies really fast i've only killed the elder once and then once with nate but uh the head i have now is the one from when we kill it with nate just eat the meat or make serpents too i make serpents do out of it personally i don't know if it so like the regular i don't have one of the cooked meat um yeah but i i think that like the cooked recipes are normally better in terms of like the quality of what they give you stat wise and people i think i mounted that a little bit high in that back oh no the wrong button wait where'd my hammer go oh there it is i'm surprised i didn't uh didn't just break a stone there by accident that would have been like totally par for the course of me okay there we go so we have the elder above the fire uh i think i'm going to lower ecthere a little bit he seems uh just a little bit high up there look a little too high and hottie there we go okay like some stools here come on short by 3 wood wow that figures all right whatever three stools left to do i ran out of wood and he's not even sitting facing his beer that's even better thing with that one and that one this one's okay for when all my friends come over they can't drink because they can't even look at it you gonna line the walls with heads in there uh probably not so much i mean i might do some heads down the hallway here maybe uh or maybe i could do some of the heads above like this thing this little nook that i created here is for chests that i haven't built in there just yet but we're gonna do like a little storage wall here we're gonna have some materials and things stored um this chest here if i empty it out i can maybe move it around a bit it is kind of handy having a chest in here but maybe oh you know what i'll put in it from the window no i won't why can't i craft that what oh uh oh that's not what i meant to throw there what happened there i was trying to throw a stone out i threw a bowl of chili or stew or whatever it is get that back perfect a little bit of honey in here for making mead might as well keep the iron here too i guess nails yeah whatever stick a bunch of random stuff in here we'll deal with the mess i made in here later uh let's go try the uh the um serpent stew and see how that looks on the tabletop the window of stools all right different colored shields would be good too yeah i could put some of those around let me get a decoration let's see no that's not bad let's i just i need to know does this does this work i can't attach that i just have to cook it first what the cooked fish look like it's kind of anti-climactic it hides behind the bowl there we go oh no i didn't mean to do that there a meal fit for a king build a tiny doghouse or rabbit with the shield i think uh it comes like automatically as a filet though if i could get like a whole fish that would be way better it could be like that singing bass kind of thing this room will be cool i like this room okay um yeah those i'll have to build later i think uh i think i'm gonna get some silver because i don't need a whole bunch of silver um so i can go start gathering some of that up rid little buyer there we go this part of the house is kind of perched a little bit on the cliff a tiny bit is it possible to find silver before you kill bone mass technically yeah but it would be like complete blind luck because it's in the ground already it's not like he like um the wishbone doesn't make it appear but the wishbone is the only way that you're gonna find it so until you get that wishbone it would be just like complete random digging i'm trying to trying to find the silver vein uh okay hold on five all right so this is our our mountaintop lodge the building part of it's pretty much finished i just need to work on decorating that fireplace looks massive compared to this little building now that i see it from the outside it's like this giant stone edifice attached to my tiny little house what is that oh there's nails hanging out the side of the wall okay decorative nails everyone decorative nails yeah so back here i'm gonna have the uh the things to make charcoal uh i'm gonna put some more portals out here this will be my my main portal gateway on my fancy little uh platform thing outside the back uh i haven't really decided how i'm gonna decorate inside here just yet i still need to figure that out and then of course this side over here is where the uh the tower top bedroom thing is i've got a few things in here um i need a lot of lighting and stuff yet but i have to bring back metal so i can make some of the sconces and uh the hanging brazier kind of things but yeah that's my uh it's my my first larger build anyway the the one i have back at the uh the um in the metal area is uh it's basically just a shack it's a little rounded shack and i crammed a lot of stuff into it and it was it's been my base of operations for a long time uh but i'm gonna i'm gonna kind of move things here so that i'm using this predominantly as my main base uh and then i'll use this as my jumping off point for for portals and stuff and then well i'll use the meadow for farming and um uh farming and smelting because i can't bring the the metal through a portal so it's better to have it down closer to the water where i can bring it in my boat and then as i forge stuff there for uh like armor and weapons and tools and all that kind of stuff then i can there's a piece of wood like hanging out on the roof up here um yeah as i make stuff there then i can bring the finished product through the portal but you just can't bring the raw materials unfortunately there's a shack out the back uh not really so this is uh i've got like the three sides here and then out the back of it i have just this little um this little portal kind of thing and then down below there's some like ruined structures but yeah so that's it needs decorating obviously in here it's really really plain there we go i need i need a lot more lighting a lot more decorating this this room is super barren i i want to kind of have like a bit of a warm feel to it when i'm finished yeah so far so good um i'm going to leave the silver here until i'm ready to take it back down with me can you build spares to make getting up there easier stairs to wear oh um like on the i wasn't really planning on it so much um i probably could build like a pathway or something on one end and like make a path wind down the side of the mountain but i'm kind of at the peak up here so the path wouldn't really go too many places like right now i'm going down here to get silver but outside of that i won't really have too many reasons to like go out of here it'd be more like coming here to make things and then um using as a jumping off point for the portals that i put out there but i could put a path around the mountain i guess that might be it might be interesting take a lot of work but it might be interesting path down equals wolves up there's that too yeah if they're willing to walk all the way around the path i don't know whether they would or not it's that nate sheriff guy yeah if you mountain if i can gather enough of those of the tombs then uh and we could like light the whole path with that it never burnt out what was that a problem once you even tame two i haven't tamed any yet um yeah i mean there's a there is a bit of a trick to it like if you use some um use the leveling tool and if you hold down shift while you're while you're doing the leveling it will um it'll make the path more even as you're going up see like it's um so you got a nice a nice level path going up if you just use the leveling tool without holding down shift then it makes a really uneven path how many hours have i put into this game um i don't know 80 maybe i'm not sure i'm sure steve will tell me hold on where's the where's my steam uh it looks like about 86 hours so not an insane amount but a really aren't necessary it's just fun like there's there's other oh i'm gonna get out here got a full inventory um there's other things i'd like to build i want to get around to it but you don't really need a base beyond beyond having something that's enough that you can build all your craftable stuff that's me ah that was a big mess yeah i missed him again the poison get him nope whew just realized i spent a lot of time building random things lol just because yeah that's just it i mean you really don't need all that much but that's a lot of the fun in the game is like building stuff i guess if you um if you don't enjoy the kind of game where you're doing that kind of building obviously then people would probably get a little less enjoyment out of this game but that's the kind of stuff you like then uh it's pretty good i love how they crash faster than they were flying how long didn't you and nate been friends um i'm actually not sure um i've been working at the cup and i'm at now for almost 16 years uh and nate and i met when we were at work so i it's got to be at least somewhere between 10 and 15 years i'm just not exactly sure we're up to 35 silver how much does that take to carry i've already got more silver than i can carry down the mountain in one trip that sucks well i mean sucks in the carrying sense let's go sleep and make a daytime 10-15 years and you with lighting and the lighting makes all the difference so i think they just they saved a lot of size in in the programming and use other things for their strength i'm really curious to see when they add in like the new zones and stuff but they'll be like lots of fun that's right it's the least you can do that's right just don't tell squarely i'm not a jerk i don't know how he even saw me to attack me but i think the same low-res textures yeah i mean they uh they minimized in some areas and maximized in others like because when you look at like when you're sailing around and stuff the lighting effects are amazing looks awesome [Music] it'll be hd ray traced yeah this whole silver node just for quality for silver store just about that oh yeah well it takes like uh what is it 40 collection of this uh black metal scrap not that i've killed motor to be able to like forge any of it but i have it all right well we got our uh got our building done aside from some decorations and i hold back a good load of silver so we can make some silver weaponry and stuff uh it is just after midnight so after that uh painful journey home i think we're gonna call it a rapper tonight but uh
