Completely Deleting Fidelity Active Trader Pro on macOS

this video shows you how to completely remove active Trader Pro from a Mac sometimes you run into a problem with active Trader Pro on your Mac and deleting the program and reinstalling it doesn't fix the problem the reason can be that there are application files stored under the library directory so that when you reinstall the program it uses those old library files this script shows you how to completely remove how Fidelity active Trader Pro on your Mac so that you can reinstall it properly it was derived from a chat session that I had with Fidelity tech support today First Step make sure active Trader Pro is closed so if you're currently running it just close it step two remove active Trader Pro application files and the application so we're going to open up a terminal window and the terminal application is located in applications and then you Tittle these so we'll start up terminal and we'll just make it a little bit bigger in the description section of this video um there are two commands that start with sudo so we'll look at the First Command and copy it and then paste it into terminal and enter to ask for your password and then it deletes um the files in library application support active Trader Pro and those are the program files associated with active Trader Pro um if we look in applications we see active Trader Pro here now if we take the second command and copy that and then paste it in let's just bring this down here so here's active Trader Pro we enter this command and then active Trader Pro goes away so this deletes the active Trader Pro program files and this deletes active Trader Pro so you can now go to Fidelity's website there's a link to it if you want or you can just Google it I download it and then install it and run it and hopefully whatever problem you had um will have been cleared up uh one final comment um it's uh it's probably good to save your settings inactive Trader Pro to the cloud before replacing the program that's something that I typically do if you have any problems with this let me know in the comments
