Complete Set in 48-Hours or Lose Them All (RISKY Pokémon Card CHALLENGE)

I know that you're selling them nine a pack would you do 300 for the Box oh dude thank you so much this 300 box of Pokemon is the start of the biggest most expensive 700 no most difficult they're leaving already oh no Pokemon set completion challenge this is evolving Skies from scratch in 48 hours I was invited to Hawaii popcorn and although I'm here to meet a bunch of cool people and open a vintage box it's hard to focus because I only have two days to finish the set before I fly back home I don't even know if all the cards I need are here at this event but we're gonna find out and it all starts right here hey we got our first box hey what's up guys my strategy is to start with booster packs because we need all of the cards not just the hits right now we'll knock out a bunch of comments and uncommons get a few rares along the way and we'll find singles after to fill in the gaps the problem with this set is that it's huge and there's a lot of super expensive alternate art cards in it like a lot especially the last pack of this box oh we do got something shiny there let's see what it is foreign that's what I'm talking about let's go this box is actually really good an ALT art a couple gold cards and a rainbow 10 hits in total we're off to a great start what a box and now for one of the most tedious parts of this process okay we sort and then we sleeve and then now 45 minutes after opening this box it's binder time we're just one booster box in and we've already completed 50 of the set after sorting everything we have exactly 119 out of 237 total cards does that mean that one more box is gonna do it for us no not even close because it's at this point we start to see a lot of doubles and we're missing most of the rarest of cards that means it's time to buy one of the most helpful things I can buy right now to help me complete this set and it's probably not what you think this an Elite Trainer Box that's right this little box right here has something I really need in it but first let's open up these packs Rayquaza V nice yo a drake assault Vmax we don't have that yet either and to finish up there we go a Flareon Vmax in a few more Commons and uncommons that we were missing too after sorting and sleeting once again wow it's 2 43 p.m and today is flying and so am I so you know what to help I'm gonna pull out my secret weapon the set guide now we can easily mark off the cards we have and literally see what we're missing and after opening all eight packs we pick up nine more cards that we need which brings us to 128 out of 237 or 109 remaining and look at that some of the pages here are almost entirely marked off of course the big hitters in the end are still missing but hey I've gotta stay positive speaking of I wonder if this guy thinks I'm gonna make it happen or not yep that's Ando from UnlistedLeaf the largest Pokemon YouTube channel in the world and he's been doing this a lot longer than me so let's see what he thinks I mean we're doing really well what so you think we're gonna finish I'm gonna get down here and say You're Gonna Be Missing like three times so the top one what do you think's in a bit Umbreon Umbreon for sure I've seen at The Umbreon School of sale so you might be okay but it's a matter of are they a good price all right Ando has seen a moonbrian in the wild which is a great sign but he's right this set is huge but no matter what I'm not gonna give up so I decided to head out into the vendor Florida hunt for one more box of evolving Skies before the end of the day if I could even find one I looked and I looked and then I finally landed at this vendor's table I might have a booster box she wants to pay how much for the Box Hawaii check them out all right we secured our last box for a really good price with the day almost over I needed this box open fast so I recruited Sarah natacheni the voice of Ash Ketchum to help unlisted Leaf super duper Danny and so many more people to help me just rip these open as fast as possible I made a manufacturing line right here I can't believe we got another altar that is amazing we got a pretty good amount thanks guys thank you so much thank you thank you thank you then I ran into Ian from Ian with Ian another pokertuber I collaborated with not too long ago you know we're doing this challenge give me some words of encouragement I have I'm barely getting infusions so I can put together this isn't helping me so I found little Ian he said he has better advice than his dad so what you got you think you're gonna lose stop just keep going yeah that was that was definitely better hi so after another round of sorting and sleeping and marking things off right here on this bed here's where we ended up oh my gosh there's still entire Pages missing right now so we now have a total of 143 cards and this is the end of day one I'm not gonna be doing any more buying and we did pretty good and the remaining 40 are mostly the harder pulls and the next morning a solar beam woke me up and my first thought was wait how many cards do I need a lot so I open the blinds and then I opened again and took in the view for a second and then immediately checked the conference schedule for the day maybe if I get there early I can get to the vendors before the rush comes in let's do it let's go and look at that all right first stop this guy has a ton of cards on the table James James do you happen to have any evolving Sky singles he said there's probably some evolving Skies scattered in these binders and yo right off the bat we found trash literally a full art garbadour so let's put him to the side and well hello hitmonchans don't beat me up please we've got the Noivern V full art and the lycanrock V The Meta Champion all on the same page and doing this one-handed is definitely not working so let's put the phone away and now it's time for grinding and finding look James is helping out now too and he immediately found a gold stormy mountains we got the copycat rainbow rare Aroma girl rainbow rare doraladon rainbow rare and after about 15 minutes and pick up after pickup after pickup we got a huge pile of cards and I got a sore back getting old dude we just scored huge here look at all we picked up where are you guys from again North Carolina you brought all these cards from North Carolina thank you so with the baby too yo you guys are insane thank you so much James you are absolutely goaded but before we ring this all up I check his glass case just in case see what I did there anyway I found this pile in the quarter and I'm so glad I did because we got a gold energy secret rare that we needed what's the damage he's got prices on these cards already he just needs to sort them out and add them all up and only because I know you spent like 30 minutes finding these cards 700 bucks 700 no that sounds pretty fair no dude bro thankfully James was just messing around with me for the camera not really though oh it's not 700 about 250 do 200 bucks and you do trades possibly let's bring out the binder I brought some heat to Hawaii on this trip and today I hope to trade as much as possible and spend the least amount that I can this set is super expensive but we're gonna see where we end up as a reminder we're already 570 in for the two boxes and the ETB from yesterday he brought out the phone which means he's interested in something or maybe he's just texting someone I have no idea okay it seems he's looking at the Gengar Vmax all dart a very popular card do you like the Gengar he's flipping through more of the binder I see the devil in the distance is that a sign I don't know I break out my calculator to see what the value is on that Gengar and here's the thing if I trade the trade-in value is less than if I were to pay with just cash how much cash I mean would you want to Gengar plus 50 for 250 worth of cards heck yeah let's make a deal 50 bucks thanks man appreciate you that was a huge pickup we got so many cards I don't know how many but we definitely made a dent just in time too because that table was getting mobbed so I I'm so glad it came early pack of my little bubble I noticed my table was super wobbly so I fixed it with a deep pocket monster coin I knew these would come in handy someday the haul from James was absolutely epic we picked up 38 more cards which means we only have 56 more to go what an amazing way to start day two but we're already over an hour in and I know that the more we fill out this binder the harder it's going to get I definitely need some help speaking of help that's when I ran into this guy I'm Trevor Trevor's a streamer on drip and he heard that I was looking for evolving skies and he just started flipping through his inventory yo a rainbow Gordy all right and after even more cards that we found that's what we got let's see if all these guys we got for you one two seven cards in total out of the pile that I needed but they're not mine yet we gotta trade first then some calculator choreography where is the time going 128 let's hope he see something that he likes in here first card he pulls out is my Reshiram Charizard GX promo from 2016. then the Sleepy t-tar from Battle Styles I love that card and before we knew it boom a trade was made then Tony from TCG Giants came over to wish me luck we're almost there we're so close made my way back to the floor and boom suddenly I have packs in my face yo what's this for this is to help are you serious no way everyone seems to want me to finish this set today so we find a spot to open these packs up real quick and wouldn't you know in the second pack oh we got a hit I can't believe this just happened thank you guys so much next this is Andrew he doesn't know this yet but he back in my bubble I cross off the two that we just picked up and that combined with the seven that I picked up from Trevor including the Sylveon V which we got thanks to those kids from earlier that leaves us with 46 left in this set we're 80 of the way there let's go back on the floor I come across a sweet looking display of cards and they've got a couple that I need I'm looking at the altart Umbreon right there and then the Dragonite there too are those things that you're willing to to let go of whoa whoa a kid he's gonna run this trade okay do you want to see a trade binder okay let me amazing all of a sudden I found myself on the floor trading with a guy named Sage for his zinnia's resolve all right back in my bubble again to sort and looking at our recent pickups man we got some Heavy Hitters for sure but there's one problem day two is already halfway over and we keep getting one or two cards here and there we need to find someone with a large amount of evolving Skies enter Jeffrey he's a big guy with a big collection and a big heart and from what I hear he's got a lot of evolving skies and yo he's already pulling out some stuff for me right there yeah perfect oh my God look at this I pointed out the alt art Sylveon one of the toughest cards to pull from this set and then he runs off like Jeffrey where are you going yeah this guy's running around for me this is crazy oh we show showing me has doubles which is amazing and then he pulls out the moon rayon this is the big hitter from the set is that something you're willing to trade for for you yeah oh bro oh my gosh this would be absolutely huge this is the one I was most worried about from the set but he's got more he's pulling out so many of the rarest cards in this set right now but I'm a bit worried do I even have enough to trade for all this uh The Meta champ for sure this is hundreds of dollars worth of cards right here I take a moment to take a breath and look up and I see Donkey Kong and Luigi playing music from the stage back on the table he's got all the cards we found laid out on the table and he's looking through my binder now it's already past 3pm which means I've got less than three hours before the event is over we're cutting this real close and I'm wondering am I gonna fail like I did in the last one and give away all these cards too at this point I'm checking eBay but I can already see that based on what he's pulled out of my binder I'm gonna be really short so I ask him what are you collecting what are your goals right so Jeffrey said he liked a certain kind of car that he's collecting that I've never heard before something Scholastic like professor's research any Professor School related lectures why do you choose that I'm curious that's really cool I'm in a doctorate program what a super unique collection I love that so I get an idea why you calculate this let me go see if I can find some stuff for you absolutely skedaddle out of my bubble onto the floor to see if I can find anything to add to his Scholastic theme collection if I can find something good I might be able to make up what I'm short for on this trade we got a ton of boxes filled with cgc cards and right in the front of this one I see a cgc 9 secret rare Pikachu from cosmic eclipse look at this artwork books and a backpack Pikachu red this fits perfectly maybe I can find one more so many slabs some really nice ones too but I need something that represents learning or something Scholastic yo there we go a 9.5 Roxanne from astral Radiance literally in front of a Blackboard holding a book this should work these two graded cards look amazing and yeah I'm gonna pick these up right now 165. all right let's pull the trigger I watch your YouTube videos thanks man I didn't know you were coming to this dude Pokemon and Hawaii of course I gotta go Pokemon Hawaii and evolving Skies which might be evolving cries if I don't finish this in time all right I got the two slabs hopefully he likes what I found I like both of these cards yeah yeah okay okay sweet he really likes them are you sure I don't want to put pressure on you yeah oh bro it's totally up my alley wow that actually worked out much better than I thought after going back and forth for a while it seems that even with the two graded cards we're short about 450 dollars which is the value of the Moon realm so unfortunately [Music] gotta keep grinding and finding so let's get back out there this is so hard it's a couple hours left to show I fly back to San Diego 1pm tomorrow so this is like really my last chance and yeah it's starting to look pretty thin out here where did everybody go whoa look at those vintage boxes and look at those vintage packs I want it all okay I'm just getting distracted here sorry new display table so many cards but it doesn't look like they have anything I need until finally I found one the deralidon V altart he looks through my binder we do the finger dancing thing on the phone he likes one of my Prime typhlosions I have two so this is easy We Are One Step Closer looking around some more this Fender table is completely empty now we are running out of time enough they're leaving already oh no I look through more singles nothing now I'm back at the vendor I started the day with I go through the binders to look for regular rares that for some reason we haven't even picked up yet yo I found one the Trevenant V-Max no way every card is super important right now so I keep looking James hands me a box to check out because he knows I'm on a time crunch and he even lends a hand too what a guy more binders let's flip through and see and then all of a sudden somebody I met earlier her name's Gwen she comes up to me with a custom-made Houndoom card that her and her husband made this is so awesome he's my favorite Pokemon wait what's this snacks this is exact recharge I need thank you shout out to Gwen and John for the gifts they even gifted me another card and an alolan dish rag yesterday and I think they were lucky because as soon as I turn around I find two of the cards that I need on a single page I move to the next binder and I'm not really seeing anything here so I do a few flips through and boom right there a gallerian Zapdos another rare that I needed this is so perfect deal and then I find an empty table which isn't that hard anymore look at this it's all gone I have just a little bit of time left that's not my binder that's my trade binder I don't need the binder I just need to cross these off I need sleeves though I cross off the Elder gas the Trevenant the Zapdos and the Reggie Drago we only have 15 cards left this is insane 15. even that's random then all of a sudden Sage comes back up looking like he just ran a marathon or something umbrella yes and then he leads me to a vendor who may have a membrion for sale oh how much more in your list the Rayquaza for sure oh nobody at this event I've seen nobody with that repulsive V-Max no one dude this guy see more vendors than I have that's not good is that gonna be the Difference Maker it's not going to matter if I don't pick up any more so while he's trying to make a deal Magikarp guy over here AKA Gary looks at my list and he points to the vendor next door who's apparently got a ton of singles but wait now we get pulled to this guy Zach Zach walks me over to this area and says dude you gotta meet this guy he's got the goods and this guy his name is Ken Lee from the Pokemon Network and wait this was the place that had those crazy vintage boxes then all of a sudden Charizard AKA Ken Lee works as magic a Glaceon V-Max altar yes this is huge well I'm completing the bombing Skies from scratch while here I could uh break out my trade binder for you if you want to see I grab a stack and then yo Noivern V altar aka the Batman card this is another big hitter let's take a look let's take a look he's looking through oh snap he likes my Pikachu promos wait Charizard's got a clutch and he sells them both for five dollars total which is actually a pretty good deal let's go you know what that means we are in single digits now people we only have eight cars remaining in less than 30 minutes left at this point it's start to look even more empty most of the people have left and even more vendors are tearing down then I ran into Gwen again she told me she might have a couple more cards that I need and I have a couple of RAM random ones that are I don't know why like a feeble rare I have that you do she has the feeble That's So Random and wow I haven't even visited this part of the conference here they're selling all the art and stickers and plushies this is super cool there's the Sylveon V you're gonna you want to break up the page this is actually my trade oh this is your trading binder okay cool oh look at that yo Gwen hooking it up again so here's my trade binder but don't get up what I can have them no you've already given me like a card and food yeah I'm sure thank you so much you are helping us so much six left finish 230 cards people are leaving I feel like these cards are here feeling is one thing but are these cards actually here I don't know but I'm not gonna give up I roll up to this vendor who's still here and yo there's Tony and Trevor wait what's Tony holding a gold full face mask well they donated it to the cause of stream are you sure come back to this vendor and see if they have any of the last cards that I need to route on V and drowled on V-Max to who I'm gonna find him no I'm just kidding who who buys a deralithon well I guess I would right but I feel feel defeated I'm tired I've been doing this since nine in the morning deralidons why deralidons if I don't get this done in the next 15 minutes you know what that means somebody's getting this binder a lot of Money's been put into it what am I doing for the YouTubes I don't care we're having fun anyway good night and right when I thought I was done with this whole thing that's what I realized I wasn't doing this alone anymore about how you know those peak of promos I got a stack of I traded one of those I got two things no freaking way Tony man I can't believe it earlier that's under but that's gonna get you there part way at least there's some points we're good wait what coins like my deep pocket monster coins those aren't worth anything unless your just missing two this has been a crazy Journey Hawaii this has definitely not been relaxing but you know what it's been so fun now as I'm adding all the reason pickups into the binder you're so close we're so close it seems we're getting a little chant from some friends that are nearby it's just so cool to see how far we've come 235 cards in two days and to be honest I didn't even think we'd get this close and as I look around at the event space and things are starting to get packed away and even my bubble my home base for this event gets broken up Think You're Gonna Lose stop just keep going just keep going don't quit just when you think it's over Miracles can happen well I have something to show you oh Sam are you serious yeah let's let's take a look you did not go and get these are you kidding me you got the deralid on your your deralidon Vmax or is right oh my gosh dude yeah thank you so much and oh my God are you kidding are you serious Rayquaza Vmax all art the last card you
