welcome to Ozark Family Homestead yay hey guys it's Janice from Ozark Family Homestead and what the plan is for today is to film a day in the life a day in the life where we are running around doing lots of things not at home so we have to make a big trip into town today lots of errands to run lots of stores to hit um I hope my big mama man holds it all actually so um here is where we're at this morning okay so I'm up I'm dressed I got children up Rebecca is still asleep but the boys just got the wood stove up and going again that's what they were just working on I've got laundry started uh The Percolator is done with the coffee Sarah's made muffins this morning for breakfast they are in the oven it's got 3 minutes on the timer right now on the oven so so children are going outside to finish up morning chores with the animals making sure everybody's water is not frozen uh giving everybody food and doing all that stuff and um I need to work on getting today's video uh posted for you guys and we're just we're getting things going I have some computer work to do before we leave the house today I need to study the sale ads so I know what to buy when we go into town just lots of things to do I've got to hang the laundry and all that stuff too before we leave as well so I'm going to take you guys along with us and kind of show what we're doing and see how chaotic the day actually ends up being so here we go anime just came in from animal jobs is it cold is your nose cold is it pink everybody's good outside cats are happy okay are you happy to be back inside okay so David are you done outside or do you still have more jobs to do I think I'm done you think you're done checking your list checking his list to see if he's done out Sarah what are you going to go do outside animal jobs animal jobs which would be what for right now oh uh feeding Robbie and the g okay Robbie's one of the Pyrenees out there with the animals and the goats cuz you're not doing Daisy or anything yet that'll come later on after breakfast okay Rebecca's awake good morning baby Sarah's checking the muffins what do you think I think they're good now is this a new recipe that you've done oh no I've done this one before no they're not done they're not done okay I've done this one before but you guys tend to prefer the chocolate ones so I do those more often but since I did those recently I didn't want you being sick of them so I want ahe do this one I think they'll be a hit all right now that their outside jobs are done they're going to open up their [Music] calendars see what's in there what is it this that little dude there and what' you get in yours oh another little charm for the bracelet they had cute little charms on there you like it baby this has been a treat for them Claudia so thank you for sending these do you want me to show you the whole bracelet if what you have done so far sure and there she's off she's going to go grab it David's got his guy built get off nope his name is uh H I don't know all German I think cuz it's all in German okay Anna baby look at all those charms on there and you still got half the month to go still mhm it's going to be full is this thing unscrews and then you can put them on oh I see and then you screw it back you slide it back on good deal oh Andrew's coming in what were you working on outside I was giving all the goats hay giving all the goats hay now Sarah already said she was going out to do goats so if you're giving goats hey Sarah what are you doing doing with goats oh I'm get I'm giving them a bit of grain okay so people may have been confused but Sarah said she was doing goats different different aspects of tending to the goats yeah so Sarah typically does the grain because you're also the one that would be uh milking the goats yes so that's why she does the grain whereas Andrew just does the daily Hay all right try this again surely they're done by now right are you impatient for them they look more done that's for sure they look delicious I should hope so y they taste as good as they smell and she did four dozen and the pretty wrappers these are those silicone uh cupcake wrapper cupcake wrappers I can't speak yet this morning I haven't drank my coffee yet and um a viewer sent us these and they are so handy you guys so use them reuse them over and over again we wash them in the dishwasher we just flip them inside out so that any crumbly battery mess gets hit really good with the dishwasher so and those are on our Amazon storefront if that's something you'd like to buy if you use our storefront you guys will get these things delivered to your house but we get a little bit of a Mission there I'm saying they're done you're saying they're done all right and then the other thing this is the cookbook that she got the recipe out of this morning I have quite a few cookbooks but if I was forced to only keep one of them it would be this one this one's been with me since I was 18 years old well not this particular one this is Sarah's copy I have a beaten and battered copy of the same thing mine mine looks a little bit rough but um the content in here is what I would keep and this is on our Amazon storefront as well so if you wanted to get a copy of your own um I'll put the link there in the description box so that you could go straight to it or sometimes I'll pin a comment in the comment section that shows links for the wrappers and the cookbook so all right Samuel's gotten into the muffins this morning I saw David just pop one in his mouth too good stuff he's running away I already ate all you already did you really yeah well that was fast okay Andrew's got something going on with school there he's got the dictionary out have you eaten already too no okay are you going to eat once your morning jobs are done you can go ahead and eat so um I just got the YouTube video posted for today and now I need to start working on the sale ads and I think my one load of laundry is done so I need to swap out and get a second load going Rebecca's awake and hungry hot is it still hot yeah yeah put it back we still need to take you potty yeah blow you'll blow on it yeah okay let's take you potty and get dressed and then you can eat some muffin yeah say okay Mama okay Mama we B is that good yeah you like Sarah's muffins do you know what kind they are blue blue yeah oh cuz her wrapper was blue they're banana muffins you have nuts in them and there's nuts in them too yeah what was it peans in walnuts walnuts in there okay yeah and you did banana because we have lots of frozen bananas yeah in the freezer from whenever they were um 23 cents a pound you he it what do you know what that is you something it it again you hear it do you hear it yeah what am I hearing my muffin my muffin yeah oh okay and she's got her Daisy milk from Daisy the cow okay I still need to fix her hair and check my sale ads and go byebye you're going to go bye-bye today's a big day in town isn't it and papa grandma no not Papa and Grandma but we're going to go to town and we'll eat sandwiches in town me and chips and chips give me give me you too yes you too yeah yeah it's exciting isn't it yeah yeah Mom I do hot is it still hot mhm so Anna's starting on making sandwiches for our lunch and while while we're in town so that's what she's doing and you're still finishing that muffin eat muffin you're still eating the muffin [Music] yeah so she's getting our little boxes put together putting tape um on each one she's writing her names and Sharpie on the tape so we know who's is who that cuz we all like our sandwiches a little [Music] different what silly si si silly baby yeah are you the silly baby yeah she was doing sign language there for those who don't who don't know Becca can you s cute good good that's close that pink pink yeah it was a little closer to Pink that pink mhm pink pink no that red red red is with your pointer red yeah I'm a pink I might I might be biased but she is the smartest little 2-year-old i' I've ever seen mil you you want more milk yeah milk please do you want more muffin or do you have some still oh you still got some in your bowl I'll get you more milk okay okay and they're going to go out and do daisy oh oh house it's a chocolate that looks like a house yeah is that one you're going to eat yeah yeah it all went in the mouth didn't it it's cold cuz I had to put them in the refrigerator because being in here uh next to the wood with stove we we did just have them out on the spice cabinet there and they were getting cold so the kids are rotating through taking turns who gets the chocolate and this morning it was Abigail and Rebecca's turns so trying to get it out it's frozen in there it's frozen in there it was just in the refrigerator what's in there she wants to see what it looks like too going to get a crowbar and make you work for that one Anna's finishing up the sandwiches here she's got her system she's our expert sandwich maker and I've gone over some of the sale ads I've got the 10 box ad all analyzed and I uh finishing up the Aldi ad here real quick me is that for another day what what was yours did you finally get it out it's a house also same day oh every day they've been the same I didn't realize that mine it matches mine yeah say twinsies you make it like or you can let it fall too this like a a house and this is like a little Tower it's a house and a tower now if you put it together there you go mama okay we're hitting kind of the the peak of the preparedness here this morning and there's the phone hold on guys okay so like I was saying that was Sean he called from his work thing today so um this is where it starts to get hectic because everybody's moving and trying to get stuff done Sarah's patting me on the shoulder it's okay Mama Anna's got the sandwiches and everything ready in the cooler for our lunch there she is and uh drinks and snacks cuz we're going to be in town a long time today and I've got my second load of laundry to hang the first one's already outside I have gone over all the sale ads and I've written my list and now I've been an can you let me see my clipboard here I uh have been going through and filling out my clipboard this is my once a month grocery shopping haul what I need to fill in and actually it's a little bit of a small haul which will make it nice for today since we have so many stops to make that I have fewer things to get and we're picking up Azure standard as well so fewer things on the once a month list means I'm going to have room in my van for as your standard stuff so breathe so much stuff to do before we leave and I know I'm probably going to forget something and we'll get you know 10 minutes away from the house and I'll go ah I forgot whatever so we're going to start wrapping stuff up getting the final details done and uh we're going to take you guys along with us in the van while we head to town all right guys we are loaded up so we're going to head on out of here uh get on into town and start uh check marking off all these places that we need to stop I will say as I was making up my once a month grocery shopping haul it is I believe the smallest once a month stock up that I have ever done which kind of has me concerned cuz I feel like I'm forgetting something I have to be forgetting something but Sarah reminded me Sarah's right over here Sarah reminded me that we've been working pretty diligently this last month on using up things in the freezers and such that we needed to use up you looking at your teeth you have pretty teeth so if if we forget something we'll just add it on in there but we're going to head to town and uh goodbye goodbye [Music] all right guys here we are at tin [Music] box all right first stop 10 bucks who's going in with me me we're gonna run in real quick we're just getting one thing that's on sale in and out super quick easy peasy okay so Abigail and I are back we're already done I do want to say one thing that I really really like about 10 box it's just a local chain of grocery stores there is not a single self checkout in that store and they had three cashiers open at the registers so and they're always very very nice all the staff is in there and uh you know I don't buy the things off the shelf but the things that are on sale are good sales and uh it's it's a nice experience when I go in there so um our next stop is going to be Aldi Aldi is going to be much bigger because this is where I'm going to do daddy daddy Daddy's at work baby so and um I'm going to get some of my once a month stock up stuff at Aldi so that's where we'll go next all right we are at Aldi now who's going into Aldi with me me who's me Anna Anna Anna's going into Aldi with me she's very serious she's going to be my helper again not a huge list but um I'm getting sale items and then I'm also getting my once a month stock up items so we shouldn't be too long but it will be longer than 10 box you ready to go girl okay off we go okay Anna and I are trying to figure this out this is short people problems you see the the blue packages in the back that's what we want and we can't reach them so I'll get them next time I think cuz I only need two packages all right we made it Anna not too bad for a once a month stock up this is actually pretty small but we're going to go ahead and load stuff up in the back of the van we've got the two laundry baskets that will throw the not cold things in and then I'll put the cold things in the cooler lunch is in here so we're going to get things loaded up and then we'll go to our next stop all right I just went into Walgreens and picked up we do a family photo calendar every year one for Grandma and Papa and one for our house so you going to flip through real quick Sarah it turned out so good is there a glare I think we're we're as good as we're going to get here in the van that's the toilet tree over there back on our property keep going Sarah oh yeah father daughter dinner some of these pictures you guys might recognize from YouTube things birthdays oh how fun I think she's going to love hers sticky Pages yep Hannah with a chicky chick oh and what we'll do is we'll hang ours up by the wood stove more chicky chicks we'll get more in the springtime we'll hang ours up by the wood stove there on the brick of the chimney and then Grandma will get hers to hang up to so she's going to love it love it oh Andrew with his guitar one more look you there okay she's going to like I think um next up is the UPS Store and we'll see if we got a bunch of packages I don't know where we're going to put them because Mama's van is getting full all right David was my big helper here he helped me carry it out we got two big boxes we received this today and this and a card I've not opened it up yet but it's from Miss Anna who came to our meet and greet so all right let's get these uh like a puzzle David we're going to put stuff in the back of the van and then keep on doing the next thing Anna's peeking all right guys it is lunchtime we are stopping here we're in the Walmart parking lot and we're going to eat our sandwiches Anna is passing everything out she's there in the back passing things out of the cooler so thank you she says and uh yeah we'll take our little lunch break and then we still have to do our Azure standard pickup and I want to run into Walmart I've just got a few things to get in Walmart here uh for the once a month stock up and yeah there's Mama's and um um Kroger we may have to hit Kroger after your standard though we're not really running ahead of schedule a little bit behind schedule but we'll get it all taken care of before we have to leave town so all right guys oh Sarah brought applesauce with her okay you got everything handed out baby wa for chips oh now she's doing chips okay she'll do chips and then we'll pray and then eat all right guys I am going to run into Walmart real quick and get I think there's like five things is that what I said Sarah five things five things on my list here at Walmart so you guys can finish up eating and I will zip in there real quick and then I think me um me I'll leave the chips with you yeah yeah you like your chippies mhm okay you eat them up I shouldn't be in there too long she's singing to [Music] us folk songs we do for home school so okay done at Walmart I got in and out real fast they did not have the big twb bags of frozen peas but I'll be okay without those I've got enough in the freezer I'll just have to do a bigger stock up next month when I do my once a month stock up then so um I have time to run into Kroger real quick I think so we're going to gamble here we're going to push it we're going to head off to Kroger get the sale items for the week and then go to Azure standard delivery I stop you stop yeah okay she's going to stop now that we're done recording she's going to stop singing say did you enjoy the show yeah yeah than done with Kroger I did not get oranges at Kroger they didn't have them they had a spot for them with the sale sticker and my Kroger does not do rain checks so maybe maybe we can have Daddy swing by and cuz it doesn't require the coupon or anything we'll have Daddy swing by someday and see if he can get the oranges Maybe daddy will get our oranges yeah so we did see our friend from there's another YouTube channel called eclipsing it and our friend does that channel and ran into her here at the Kroger parking lot so that was nice too we've done well on time guys and we had to scoot scoot scoot but we did it and we did it while filming too and so we get bonus points gold stars for everybody yay okay now we're going to head to the Azure standard drop and even get there a little bit early so okay we'll take you guys with us uh for that too all right guys we are here early and our truck is here early we're actually about 30 minutes early but the Azure standard truck is here and people are starting to show up so um we'll start unloading things here shortly and I'll see what I can get on video I don't want to you know film a bunch of people that don't want to be on camera but I'll see if I can give you guys little Snippets here and there or maybe I'll put Sam on uh on camera Duty Sam maybe maybe okay we'll see we're going to play this by ear and see what happens I've got lots of helpers that are going to come out and help you lost your shoes okay guys we'll start getting things ready in the back of the van my yeah your shoes are okay you're going to stay in the van but the big kids will come out and help there was pillow okay guys Azure drop is done everybody is leaving um a few of us are still sitting around chitchatting we have a really good group that uh of course we just see each other once a month at uh delivery day but uh it's it's nice to see each other and we talk about Homestead things and share resources and stuff so we're going to go finish visiting a little bit and Sean showed up here too so he's here kids are talking to Daddy but um we'll finish up here and then we'll start heading back home we have two uh fames uh Azure orders that we're going to drop off as well on our way home but I will check back in with you guys here in just a little bit all right we are heading out here um had a good good time visiting the kids got letters from friends and and uh got to run around and chitchat with buddies there for a little bit too so we are going to head out oh Sun's bright and uh start delivering some AZ your standard things home and then we'll go home smack time and we lost Rebecca she is snoo loing we're taking the uh the first Azure standard order to uh some friends and they live out in the middle of nowhere too so we're going slowly down their driveway um I didn't show the soap here Sarah that uh one of the uh people at the Azure drop gifted soap to everybody so uh we've got all bars and then we got the two bars that take we're taking to the uh friends too that we got their order so we're about to deliver the first one all right guys go ahead and we can be unloading stuff getting it inside Andrew's showing off look at Andrew we know you have big muscles oh we'll get stuff inside and then figure out where to put everything it was a van load today you got it baby all right Anna's working on getting the jackets all put back up where they belong and you going out to check on chickens yep okay Sam's going to check chickens we've got groceries and stuff just kind of dumped here in the house right now a mess is a mess yeah it is a mess she says yum yum you almost ate all your yum yum yeah yes she's finishing up snack because she had snack and then she fell asleep did you cry cuz you were fussy and sleepy baby yeah and eat my raisin oh you ate your raisins though didn't you yeah yeah this is what's left of I is this all that's left of snacks those need to get put back and we've got groceries on the table and as your standard stuff so we'll start um putting things in homes I actually need to film The once a month grocery shopping haul so all this stuff will get laid out on the table and I will film that just for a totally separate video but um children immediately came in and started getting muffins also they're good stuff aren't they Sarah did a good job on those this morning so all right guys we're going to get to work tidying this place back up yeah that was for me and Sarah yeah me oh and you too yeah yeah we didn't eat them today so we'll put them back in the drawer for another day okay yeah we eat them later later yes all right so here's where we stand at right now we've been home for we've been has it been more than an hour uh maybe maybe an hour or so Sarah's working on laundry uh Samuel brought it inside for me cuz it was still hanging on the clothes line whenever we got home everybody stopped and had more banana muffins for snack apple and apple too I have been let's see so we've got some stuff laid out here I still have to film the uh once a month grocery haul video what and and and and and oranges yeah we we didn't have the oranges oh she's looking she's looking she's looking we buy we buy oranges she says so I'm still preparing to film this all the Frozen stuff is still in the cooler I haven't pulled it out yet what baby that's for a pizza that's for pizza yes so Sean has been outside with an Andrew just came in and they've been dealing with animals making sure the turkeys are fit and all that stuff I've been sitting here at the computer uh doing price comparisons just this is the prep work that I have to do to do these uh once a month grocery shopping hauls so cuz um I like to compare the Walmart prices with the sale prices and stuff that I get so that's what I'm doing and that's kind of where we stand right now the Azure standard stuff is just kind of dumped cuz I do have to film that video as well you scratching me yeah scratching my belly so we need to get the wood stove going again it's still got ashes in there I don't know if you can see it's still hot but um it'll need to get reloaded as well but that's where we stand and uh we're just going to keep plugging along Samuel is back in my bedroom there working on tomorrow's video he's editing in so everybody's just kind of dividing and conquering all the different tasks what [Music] babyon Andrew came in Andrew's folding too yes he's helping all right I just finished filming the uh once a month grocery shopping haul so now it's time to get everything put in it home strawber you're going to put away the strawberries you know where they go don't you she knows they go in the drawers with all the snacks that one and how about these [Music] two uh let's see carry one of them I don't know if you can carry you got it baby I got it look how big you are you big girl yeah they go in the snack drawer with all the snacks momy [Music] what you can open the drawer for me Sam will you go in there when you take the baking soda in the laundry room will you open the drawer for Rebecca Sam going get the drawer for you okay Rebecca mayy you're going to help put away groceries all right and we've got um food in the oven for supper so they were waiting on me to finish filming because this salad greens that I had bought today are a part of supper tonight so now everything's getting put on plates I don't think I showed you guys someone at the um asure standard delivery gifted me with some homemade ghee some grass-fed ghee so that was really really nice we just have a really good group there so oh the chicken pieces are coming out and they'll go on the salads here in just a little bit we're going to try to start shutting things down here soon I think we're all pretty tired all right just about got things done Anna's been loading us up with cheese on them salads it looks good baby so lots of salads they getting transferred over to the table some are having did you have kombucha too a little bit a little bit of cucha so I have water you had water yes so some took baths and showers while I was filming and got into pajamas I do still have to watch uh tomorrow's video Sam has got it edited iaj you don't have pajamas on yet I a can we put you in pajamas after supper momy my owl your owl pajamas yeah ones with owls on them yeah those are cute I love them you want to wear them tonight yeah okay you can wear owl pajamas tonight so not a be ones not the bare ones yeah yeah you like the owl ones better yeah yeah okay all right we're going to sit down and get ready to eat and I will get a video uploading I'm trying to think of what all else is needed for the night a video uploading for tomorrow and children to bed oh you turn off the light [Music] oh somebody's out there you you just turn the light off on him she's trying to help and she turned the light off on you Sam it's okay I'm glad you're not scared of the dark all right guys I'm going to go ahead and wrap this day up while everybody is uh getting situated boys are getting drinks things are happening but we're going to go ahead and start shutting things down for the day thanks for hanging out with us thanks for coming along with us it was a busy busy day but uh we did get a lot done we still have a lot of the house to put back together because of all the stuff we
