What is today? We met nine years ago. It's our nine year anniversary. It's today and tomorrow. I mean, we started talking on the ninth and started dating on the 10th. We actually only did this last night, but we've come up with a whole day of fun activities that we're looking forward to. Free activities because we're low budget at the moment. So we're very excited. We're gonna show you what we do. First, we're going to go out thrift shopping because we love doing that. And in Spain, thrift shopping is not good, but in the Netherlands where we are right now. It's pretty good. We got some good gems already. What did we get? We got a knife, a bread knife And... Stapler, for you This is for me to reupholster furniture. I'm very excited about that. We're going to go on a bike ride, to nearby town to see another thrift store. And that is my grandma bike. I bought it from my grandma a couple of years ago, right? I'm always on edge on a bike somehow. It's all good. We can do this. We're going to cross the ferry It's a very Dutch ride. Let's see if this place is any good. Look how cute. I'm even tempted to get it. It's so cute. I'm getting this for sure. It's a piece of a newspaper. It's the nightingale. I don't know, it's really pretty, no? Warner is not convinced, but. Do you like this more? They're the same price. This is what we got for lunch. This is bitterballen and kroket. Typical Dutch fried stuff. The vegan versions from the Albert Heijn are really good. Or I really like them. And we make them in the oven cause we don't like frying stuff. Here's the broccoli. Here's the salad with vegan feta, which is so good. I like it more than the real thing. And we're gonna sit here and then we're gonna play board games. Look at this plate of bitterballen and Warner is being as Dutch as he can be. With your broodje kroket. How do you say it? You smash it in your bread and you have a very beige meal. Oh no, no, no, no, and you add some mustard. Just to make it more yellow. By the way, we got married during COVID, in the town hall. And we always intended to make a big celebration just to bring all our friends and family together. And we wanted to do it this year, the nine year anniversary. Cause it felt like a good moment, but clearly we're not there at all. It's probably gonna take a couple of years more. And when we got married in the town hall, we didn't do vows. Cause we thought it would be nice when we do the celebration. I recorded the whole ceremony and I was really happy. And then I forgot to turn the mic on. So we have the whole ceremony without any sound. It was still a nice moment. Okay, so we're gonna do a little game. Do you see me? We're gonna do a little game in which we both have half an hour to design our dream living room without showing each other. And then we're going to compare. Let's put a timer. The half an hour starts. Start creating things. Now. I want a much more moody living room. Good! Good job. Do we give feedback on the other's one? Yeah, give me feedback. Looks good. That's not feedback. What do you have to say about mine? It's a bit too muted for me. I wanted really deep colors, like really dark. More raw. More raw. Yeah, I see that as well. We've come to Dordrecht to go thrift shopping. This is actually a tradition of ours now. Every time we're in the Netherlands, the three of us come and enjoy a day in this town, which is really nice. So I'm looking forward to showing you around. I love this store It's all of seeds and plants and they have really, really cool seeds and all sorts of varieties that you cannot find elsewhere. So I totally recommend coming here if you need plants. When in Dordrecht we always go to a little Surinamese to have a sandwich But they're closed for holidays. So we've had to branch out, which Warner is very disappointed about. Heavily upset. But we've come to another place that looks interesting. It's like Chinese, Surinamese and... Indonesian... the whole thing together. And they have tofu sandwich. Yeah, let's see what it is. We also ordered a bubble tea. But that was because I was panicking I didn't know. Ordered a bubble tea with coconut milk. They didn't have any other milk. So, it might be a bit too heavy. Let's see what they make. Here's the tofu sandwich. The bubble tea, which is a bomb. It's nice. But it's very sweet. Warner, don't exaggerate so much. Let's try the tofu sandwich. We've never tried a tofu sandwich. Is it good? Yeah, it's nice. Does it hit the spot? Yeah! So all the complaining and moaning was for nothing. It's not the same... But it's very nice. Basically Chinese food in a bun. That's what it is. We're at the bakery or a patisserie. They had one vegan option. Yes, so mutti is very excited. It looks amazing. Look at this pastry. This is vegan. Do we know what it is actually? No. No idea. It's just vegan and looks delicious. That pastry was so filling. I'm like... Yeah, it was good. Right, we're still walking around Dordrecht It's one of my favorite towns in the Netherlands, I think. It's just such a cute place and it's not pretentious at all. It has a lot of secondhand stores, but also just the vibe is really chill. I think in the Netherlands, if I had to live in a town, this would be in my top to live in. Look how tilted all the buildings are. I love that of the Netherlands, it's so cool. Imagine living in that building... just leaning over. Another cute street. Dutch really know how to make cute streets. We've done all the shops in the center that were open because our favorite shop is in holidays. So, couldn't go there. We're going to go to a secondhand shop on the outskirts of Dordrecht that we've never gone to because we're always too tired from seeing everything in the center. So, let's see if it's worth it. I hope you hear me. I'm excited to finally go to that one because I've been thinking about it for a couple of years. It's a bit overwhelming, isn't it? Look how big this store is. 30% only I don't think we're going to find anything. Done for today. Didn't find anything here. And now I'm tired. So, I'm just waiting outside, sitting. And we're going home. That's it. That was the day. I actually liked this place. We got this brass plate. Very detailed. For 2.5 euros But it's to put on the wall as an art piece because I thought it will be cool that it's round. And then you can put light behind it and it will be cool. In the same shelf, we got this piece of studio pottery which I just thought was really pretty. The colors. I paid 3.5 euros for it. It's a unique shape. We got this glass which we thought would be nice for being a toothbrush holder. Also very detailed. I think it's from India. This has an Indian style. Maybe the plate as well but the glass. No, maybe this is Arabic. These letters. We thought it would be a nice toothbrush holder. Another day of thrift shopping. Today is more clothes focused. In the Netherlands I have some favorite places that I always like to go back to and a couple of them are really far away from where we stay. So we've had to do a day trip out of it but we're very excited. We're going first to Hilversum which is a nice town that has a really cool secondhand clothes store because they have a lot of options and they're usually pretty fair priced. And then afterwards we'll go to Amersfoort which is a beautiful, beautiful little city it's one of my favorite ones in the Netherlands where they have a lot of antique shops with home stuff. I don't think the clothes shops there, the secondhand clothes shops there are especially good but we're gonna walk around there and have lunch and enjoy our day. So I'll take you along and show you. If you love vintage, this is one of my favorite, spots in the Netherlands. I think it's really nice and I think it's reasonably priced for how cool stuff they have. There are so many goodies here. This lamp is really cool. I really like it with the top. It's 25 euros. If we had our home, I would buy it. Always looking at the art in case I find something mindblowing but I'm hard to please to be honest It's so cool. This painting is very sweet. I love the colors. Really cool. Not the frame, but. Old globe. Crying baby. Look, I really like this. This is a light for your paintings. Really cool. This is clearly the brass table. I've bought a lot of candlesticks here before. But I think we have enough for now. So I'm not buying anymore. Not necessarily a fan of the glass, but that's a pretty table. Look at this. The light is super yellow. These plates are gorgeous. It's a set of four for 15 euros. So pretty. And I love this corner. Anything wood, all the wooden bowls and plates. I love them. They have some really cool pottery here. Look how big this spot is. It's 35 euros. That's so good. Here they have some really cool... studio pottery here, like those two pieces. This piece is made in Denmark. It's gorgeous. Glass bowls. I would actually, oh, wait, here. I'd buy this. If it weren't a 125 euros. It's a bit above our budget. But so pretty. This is the place. It's a bit outside Amersfoort, but I love it. It's really worth it. Here they have quite a bit of vintage clothes and then a ton of furniture, but clothes, it's still not a bad selection. I've never found anything here, but they have stuff. So much to look at everywhere. Look how stuffed every stall is. This sweet little lamp base. Look at these candlesticks, they're cool. Don't like that the bottom wood is different. But the top part is cool. Maybe you can just take that off. There's just a lot of little gems here. This little ceramic wall piece 15 euros It says: Signed, titled and numbered numbered by the artist. One of 750. 16 bucks. Always worth looking at the art. All sorts of funky lamps here. Nice vases Beautiful set of glasses. Just, there's so many gems, huh? Hmm, true. I really love coming here. I find it hard to... Not buy stuff? Not buy stuff. So cool. I would never use them, but they're pretty. I'm having a bit of a colored glass kick at the moment. Just everything is colored glass. I'm like, yes. Here in the main market, there's a little restaurant, on the corner, called Jiwa Jawa Oh my God, they have cendol. I love this drink so much. So excited. Lunch! It looks so good. Then we got some (vegan sate) It's amazing. It smells so good. It's amazing and super authentic. I really recommend. This shop has so many cute things. Like the boxes, or the soap dishes down there, lamps. And I've got a ton of cards. I really love all the cards they have here. Super cute. Here as well I had to really choose to not buy them all. And the shop is called Hadaya. And it's on this street. Made for Dutch summer. Because here, I'm a bit too sweaty with the Uggs, but I'm too cold without them. So if I have fluffy sandals... I like them. Not the shape I want, but it is 100% silk. It's just so difficult. You have to find 100% silk, your size, and that you like it. What are you laughing at? Ouch. You don't love my... Okay, well then. This is a no, clearly. There wasn't anything else. It's just very big. If it was a smaller size, I would get it.
