TO THAT. >>> NOW TO THE COLLEGE CAMPUS PROTESTS. STUDENTS CONTINUE TO STAGE DEMONSTRATIONS AT SOME OF NEW YORK'S MOST PROMINENT UNIVERSITIES. >> LET'S GET OUT TO JOHN DIAZ LIVE AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY THIS MORNING. CAMPS ON CAMPUS ARE NOW IN THEIR 11th DAY. >> GOOD MORNING TO BOTH OF YOU. IT WAS A BUSY DAY YESTERDAY. THAT IS FOR SURE. SO FAR IT HAS BEEN A QUIET SATURDAY MORNING OUTSIDE OF COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. NOT MUCH HAPPENING GOING ON. NO IN PERSON CLASSES GOING ON TODAY. ON THE MAIN LAWN THOUGH AS YOU CAN SEE IN THIS VIDEO OF COLUMBIA CAMPUS, STUDENTS ARE STILL CAMPED OUT. WHILE THE NYPD IS REPORTING NO RECENT ARRESTS OFFICIALS SAY THAT NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION AND PROPALESTINIAN DEMONSTRATORS HAS REACHED A STALEMATE. THEY TRIED TO FIND A COMPROMISE THAT WOULD LEAD TO PROTESTORS CAMP BEING REMOVED. THE STUDENTS ARE STILL DEMANDING THE COLLEGE DIVEST FROM COMPANIES THAT DO BUSINESS WITH THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT. THE PROTEST HAS BEEN ATTRACTING POLITICIANS. STUDENTS STAND DETERMINED. >> I AM WILLING TO STAY HERE HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES. >> IT'S VERY CLEAR THE UNIVERSITY DOES NOT WANT TO CRITICIZE THE ISRAEL IN ANY WAY. THEY DON'T WANT TO BE SEEN THAT THEY ARE PUNISHING THE ISRAELI OCCUPATION IN ANY WAY. >> EARLIER FRIDAY OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS GATES SUPPORTERS OF ISRAEL RALLIED WITH JEWISH STUDENTS AND AGAINST ANTISEMITISM. WHILE THE COLUMBIA SENATE SAID IT PASSED A RESOLUTION TO CREATE A TASK FORCE TO INVESTIGATE ACTIONS OF THE SCHOOL'S PRESIDENT AND ADMINISTRATION RELATED TO THE PROTESTS THEY ARE CLAIMING THAT THE ADMINISTRATION HIRED AN AGGRESSIVE PRIVATE INVESTIGATION FIRM AGAINST STUDENTS. SOMETHING TO TAKE NOTE IS THE LAST DAY OF CLASSES WILL BE ON MONDAY AND BECAUSE OF THIS SITUATION SOME OF THOSE FINAL EXAMS COULD BE GOING REMOTE. FOR NOW WE ARE LIVE. JOHN DIAZ. >> ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. >>> PROTESTORS ALSO SET UP CAMPS AT OTHER CAMPUSES AROUND THE AREA. WE FLEW OVERSIGHTS OF NYU AND CITY COLLEGE IN HARLEM. LAST NIGHT WAS THE SECOND NIGHT OF AN ORGANIZED CAMP AT NYU. A SPOKESPERSON THOUGH FOR CITY COLLEGE SAID THEY ARE MONITORING THE SITUATION AND ARE COMMITTED TO ENSURING EVERY COMMUNITY STUDENT IS SAFE. >> WE WILL CONTINUE TO COVER THIS STORY
