the schedule of time and TV networks has been released for some of Colorado's schedule a new commitment that is bringing some size to the table and is a Colorado and Louis Vuitton collaboration a step closer from happening plus more all coming at you next give me my theme music what's up everyone and welcome to Buffs news weekly your weekly recap of all University of Colorado Football news I am your host Russ dornish we did it I want to thank all of our subscribers and supporters it is because of your support that this week we hit the 1,000 subscribers Mark I never in a million years thought I would get to this point but you have turned a dream and a passion project into something that has actually gained traction so for that I thank all of you very much with that said make sure to like comment and still subscribe to continue showing that support so I can continue bringing you guys Colorado news now let's Jump Right In in an article written by Ross Dinger of Yahoo sports it looks like the NCAA and its teams are looking for more ways to generate Revenue in light of last week's settlement that will lead to share shared Revenue with schools and their athletes directly from the article Dinger says within the ncaa's government structure officials are seriously considering legislative changes to permit schools to display corporate logos on their football fields while more debate is expected next month within the NCAA playing rules oversight committee administrators expect a resolution that opens the door for on field sponsorships and perhaps eventually corporate patches on players jerseys end quote the rules for onfield Logos are right now limited to companies who own stadium naming rights and have not allowed schools to sell out advertising space on the field but obviously now schools will look to find ways to expand Revenue through the possibility of onfield advertising and even potentially Jersey ads it's estimated that a field logo could generate up to $1 million per year while a jersey sponsorship for the year could bring in $5 million per season another potential Revenue driver is adding another game to the schedule to expand the ability to receive money for that game ticket sales merchandise concessions Etc that extra game would have the potential of raising upwards of $3 to5 million more annually per team again all of this starts to add up and helps offset the near sum of $20 million the power five schools would be giving out to their players now how does this affect Colorado and what could this lead to if it gets passed well the number one driver of corporate sponsorships is brand recognition and and eyes and clicks well while Dan Lanning might say we only play for clicks those clicks lead to more eyes and those eyes lead to higher revenue and higher sponsorships which in turn can help Colorado in the recruiting game we already know what kind of brand deals Colorado players are already seeing of course with shador and Travis being some of the highest nil valuations in the country we could only imagine the type of deals that Colorado could get thanks to the portfolio of brands that coach Prime has underneath his belt for one some people have mocked up an idea of a Colorado Louis Vuitton Jersey collab and one has to wonder if a brand deal could allow for that in the future the options would be endless for Coach Prime and Colorado which could help bridge the gap on possible small donor and booster support compared to other big time programs what would your dream sponsor be for the Buffs and how creative could you get imp possible brand deals for the team let us know those thoughts and ideas Down Below in the comments and I'll make sure to comment on them on our live stream upcoming this week Colorado had a commit fly under the radar as kicker Alexander stoyanovich committed back on May 15th but it did not get found out until this past week now if that last name sounds familiar to those of you out there who are football fans that is because Alex is the nephew of longtime NFL play kicker Pete stoyanovich now Alex has shown in his online videos his massive leg with a personal long of roughly 67 s yards in practice that he filmed over the last year Alex also released a video this week kicking at the Buffs practice facility and man is his leg true as he's able to boot the ball through the uprights from easily 60 yards with a ton of carry and directly down the center but his big leg isn't the only thing that is noticeable about Alex this past week when newcomers were introducing themselves on well off and reach the people Alex made quite a splash with people noticing just how physically ripped he is for a young kicker i' got anchor arms I'm no wimp I'm a jerk and I for one welcome Alex to Colorado and look forward to seeing what he can do in a Buff's uniform yesterday some of the games in the Big 12 were given times and TV announcements for Colorado their week three and then their final week of The Season's games were announced after Colorado already previously announced their first two games of the Season we now have two more to look at week three against Colorado State the of course much looked after rematch of last year's late night Classic on ESPN will be in the National Spotlight being at 5:30 p.m. mountain time on CBS yes the game is on September 14th and will be played in Fort Collins at CSU Stadium this will most likely be a highly watched content after last year's game and there will definitely be some unfinished business from Travis Hunter who was of course knocked out of the game due to a cheap shot during the first half the other game that is getting its time and TV coverage announced was the final game of the season against Oklahoma State a game that I believe could lead to one of these teams playing in the Big 12 championship game the game against Oklahoma state will be on November 29th at 10:00 a.m. mountain time and will Air nationally on ABC this marks the first time in history that Colorado will have a nationally televised game on all of the national TV channels NBC CBS and ABC all in the same season the Buffs will also start the season with three straight Prime Time nationally televised games with North Dakota State at 600 PM Mountain on ESPN Nebraska at 5:30 p.m. mountain on NBC the following week and then of course that week 3 matchup against CSU which will be on CBS at 5:30 p.m. mountain now we still don't know the schedule for the rest of the season just yet but my guess is these won't be the only nationally televised games after Colorado has finally rid itself of the Pack 12 Network for good that's it for this week the video was early because I will be traveling abroad for work and unable to post the video on Saturday like normal however we will still be live streaming this Tuesday evening we will not have a news video next Saturday but I will cover the news on that following Tuesday if you join me for my live stream then we will be back to our regular schedule so make sure you are subscribed so you know when videos are uploaded or we go live and of course like and comment on this
