Color & Contour, Stampin' Up!

hi friends this is gail o'neal and i teach stamping i hope you enjoy all right let's get going hi heather hi kathy oh morning you must be somewhere else hi deb hi alice hi barbara okay we got a lot of people on so color and contour these are really really cool like i'm going to be using them a lot with different sets this year but i wanted to show you you know how to stamp that if you're going to do multiples so let's get started so first of all like this one stamp oh let me let me show you this this this is so you can see the layers thank goodness for retired paper so i put this together so you can see the different layers and then back to these so this one i colored and this one is stamped so you can see the difference between doing that and you can do it either way but that's pretty fast okay okay all right it's got to go this way so i made a template and all i did was cut out two of these and i don't care when the ink gets on here because just alcohol and uh and a wipe cleans that right up so let me make sure i'm not gonna hit the camera and i'm in in the right spot okay so i cut out a bunch of them in white so you just plop it in there first you want to do your outline now let's see if my little thing is yep there it is so this is just a whiteboard eraser and i think i'll do it again i hope that was in tight because if it does move you're gonna get a line so there's one and it's easy to pop it out with your little poker tool make sure it's there we'll do a couple of them and then we'll do the other part but you can just do and for this small thing it's just as easy to do that and it's good the first time but every once in a while oops check and make sure that this didn't slide out or it's going to move everything so you want that in there all right i think three is going to be enough [Laughter] good one gail we're gonna have top and bottom done on that one good one that's the way you don't do it hi jane all right something moved okay let me just uh hopefully i don't have to use this again but yeah it cleans right up but of course i'll pull that off and give it a good cleaning okay so now we pop it back in and we'll do this one in pink i might have been off when i set it up because it's a little off from what my other ones were and this one i didn't color and no matter what they don't look bad piece ripped off i think what i'm gonna do is make a template out of my um my plastic that i make stencils with and if i wasn't been binge watching um yeah what's it called a handmaid's tale oh man i never watched any of it so i am binging it i'm on uh season three already yep i had to shut it off to do this see you guys i gotta go watch another episode just kidding okay so we have those so it was time to use up some more retiring dsp so this one of course i didn't print out my sheet so so this one because i never remember names of anything fine art so fine art the other one is hand painted hand pen dsp and i also used look at how sad this is i only have i think one full sheet left going going gone so there's a card out of that too so those are the three that i used so the first thing i did is took corner punch actually it wasn't the first thing oops so it's the first thing now but something just didn't look right when i was putting the card together and i went oh everything is like rounded except the card base this needs to be rounded too so inside so pretty too just doesn't match the colors though so this is the largest die now on the original one i didn't put any but we can try maybe popping that up a little bit we'll see how it looks and i'm gonna do that in green um where is it mossy meadow so the get well soon was from timeless tulips uh get well soon and crush your fingers severe storms friday night with flooding uh that's a little cockeyed and i didn't punch another one but that's okay it's okay so that's gonna go on that you know me you can always slap another one on top of this because all it does is give you a little bit more texture no come on move over it's being stubborn hi stacy hi beth i hope we don't get any storms in here in florida okay so i've also got the braided twine yes i'm gonna tie a bow but let me get this ready so i'm gonna take a glue dot and just have it ready i want definitely want this a little lower than i had it on the other one yeah that should do it all right so instead of me fighting with it i'm gonna put a glue dot right under there and then i don't have to feel like a klutz oh i wanted to tie that upside down okay let's do it sometimes if you tie upside down your strings go the right way yo baby all right so now we're just going to tighten her up now if i wanted to move it i could just move the glue dot but i think this is where i originally really wanted it and i don't know how i got so high i'm coming down i'm going to move this closer to me in case that happens again hi terry uh scissor again and we'll use this one okay so now we can go ahead and put this down and i think i will pop it up to a little different than the other one if i decide to use that flower these are higher because they're from the paper pumpkin so we can take that and pop part of that up yeah that'll work and the other thing i want to do because see how this background has like it's like a grayish blue or so whatever's left on this i just want to tone down that white a little bit the other one i did in green but it came out yellowy looking okay so let's put a couple so we're going to do glue and so about there is good now we can put this down and then it goes on to the white card base now all the sizes are all typed up and i will post them to the sharing group so there's one and there's two so this one you know was just built up a little bit more still simple but you could leave that off and just have a simpler card okay number two is this one so of course there was no coloring in this and i don't know if this is the way it's supposed to cut or if it's my cutter like these stay together well there's a like a little thing that holds them here but not here but i suppose if if that's what it does like you could put a ribbon or something through there something i might have to think of something okay so this was from the pend and we're just gonna this side so pretty too so how simple is this just simple layers and we're going to stamp on here the right direction you're absolutely amazing amazeballs and [Music] see what happens when your paper's at an angle oh not bad let me just take a sip of something ah that's better all right so when i put this down i'm not putting it on that it's still wet so because that is like loose there or cut so if you're not putting something through it you got to put a little glue on it so that's going to go snap dag in the middle and you can always go back and put like a little bit of glue and tickle it under there which looks like i'm gonna have to do okay so now these so they were only stamped once with the outline i don't know why i'm not using my pick so one is going to go here and one is gonna go here then we're gonna take a little bit of [Music] wink of stella and do the center of that one and the center of this one i want it to be like yeah like i almost don't want to see what's underneath it okay and then we have a few of these so we'll put one there one there and one there and that is card number two amazeballs card number three i love this big one love it so pale papaya which is quickly becoming my favorite don't you love that all right i gotta clean this off this is still gonna be black i was gonna say i think i did clean it but no okay so we need that one and we need the black ink again all right so we're going to stamp that right there all right i just got to pull it down a little bit so hover over it and wish yourself luck hi gina my favorite jerk is here yay there are jerks and then there are jerks but this is my favorite jerk okay then we also have a piece for the inside so i had done these other little things on it but i think i want this so i'm just going to do the top of course i don't have a piece of paper here but who cares so we're going to do that and then we're going to do this again i'm going to put that on the floor i don't need it i don't need it anymore hover hover hover and hope for the best brave i never trust myself to do that [Music] how long you been stamping for i got a few years on you so the one good thing about this mat is it cleans up okay so i'm not gonna bother yes i will oh that color was mint macaron so i'm gonna do the mint macaron and then it's gonna look i wasn't gonna bother on the inside but you know what a little bit so we're just gonna like scribble it in there because this really isn't you know something that you have to be neat just throw your color bam and let's put it together oh let's stamp this part first now let's do that after since i'm not popping anything and it's going to be wet so they're very easy to layer let's see is that the upper the down i don't think it matters they're going every direction plus most of it's getting covered up so we've got that let's put this on the inside and i think i'm just going to use a little tape and then i have this new glue to introduce you to so okay now we can do that thinking oh thank you not thinking thinking of you for anything and for everything and we'll put that right there okay and then we have these gems so these are the new genial genial um oh actually i was supposed to stamp spots on it i wonder yeah all right i'm gonna cheat and get still get some in there this is the way you cheat peeps so mint macaron i am only gonna ink up this part and i want to stamp off goodness goodness gracious great balls of fire okay this is how we cheat make sure that parts clean because you don't want it to get all over there oh you know what i didn't stamp off and that was fine and then if you want you can get like i don't know if you're seeing it but i'm just grabbing like the very tips and i can get closer love it okay i think i'm going to go over it a little bit now i'm getting carried away the heck out of it now we can put these on goodness so one two and a buckle my shoe so that's card number three i think okay oh the black and white one woohoo so this is more paper using it up love this side too now the big tip i want to give you is cut your paper don't cut it to size use like a quarter because when you go to put it in the folder it's going to take away that much so it all depends on what direction your folders go to so always put it through the folder and then do your size and i know i've said it before but with this is the new um [Music] bark bark 3d so in a couple days you'll be able to order this so we're going to layer that onto black which side i don't think it matters really oh this is the one i cut extra oh and this one i didn't stamp these so we got to bring back the bring back the toy but simple layering i love that side it just would have been too much flour so and one of them's done okay and then i have three of those and if i mess up one i have an extra and again i'm gonna use the amazing and this is from tags tags it's new which doesn't matter for me oh i'm having a horrible time lately but we're gonna fix it you probably don't even yeah you can see it on the screen oh this is the brush marker that's scary so i'm just filling in the little spots a little bit everybody should own fine points okay so that's gonna go there and then we'll do the flowers and then comes the pink card okay i think i got another one done so really except i don't like that one so let's do them [Music] and i'm going to take this off and do it by hand but i don't want to do this one by hand get in there behave yourself oh see that was moved don't need that one thunderstorms uh come on out oh out with you i say seriously get in there behave i'm trying to show people so you have to behave had to be because of many me see i'm a little off something moved somewhere okay so we are going to take this we're going to cover up the black so i don't put my elbow in it and we're going to clean this before i stick it in my pad in my gray pad all right so we're going to take some smoky slate and and there's a double one so that could be it and even if it isn't i say it's close enough double double double right there and there oh close enough what oh i only use three this is the one i said i didn't like right right now i kind of like it all right so we're gonna scale and that popped up so we're gonna put two down flat and pop one up but we want to be able to yeah that'll work so one there one there and i'm grabbing a new thing or maybe i don't have to maybe just maybe so you don't even know it's a tag and then i think it needs a little sparkle so one two let's do a little one three yeah i was gonna put two more but yeah all right so that's card number four and that was the first one i just got to put a few sparkles on that one all right so let me push all this aside these two are going to go in my extras case and this is another thing like when you thinking of coloring them you can use that spotted stamp and then color in the center or you can color them but i say using like a textured stamp of some sort bam done okay so card number three is oh i didn't put either of them together that's pretty good because what i'm going to show you is this glue and glitter that i used so i'll put that's funny i stamped it but didn't glue it all right so these are done they're dry but let me take this one so this glue it's called kids choice glue and i got it from the booth that elizabeth crafts because i bought some of their silk microfine glitter and i had taken like a class from them when i was there that was a couple years ago already so i got another one over here so what it is about this glue is that it's thick so you can put a loop and i just kinda think and it's gonna go down and after it dries just a little bit you can tap it down a little if you're doing a big spot you can like push it into place i'm gonna push it a little bit so you can take it while it's wet but you see how thick it is and i'm gonna put that a little bit around let me put that one a little bit more so right now it looks like a hershey kiss on top but it's gonna settle and then i'll just use this so it takes a full 24 hours it'll like dry to the touch in about 45. so i was able to put well i could have put the cards together but they were all laying on top of each other oh it's a blowing this is like really fine glitter and this one is copper but we did things that it looked like what's the word i'm thinking of i don't know you put it on with other glue and like just rubbed it in this you can't rub in on this but you can get it on um either at elizabeth crafts or amazon and it'll last a long time i've had this for a couple years all right so i'm going to put them aside but you can see that and then after it's dry it gets a little like the middle sank in on these it's like they all have a little bit of texture to them it's pretty cool all right so let's put them well let me stamp this so you can see what i did so i did it with the pink oh but i think i stamped off that's all right so so it's a quick way to put like a little border so this was the in color paper so we've got one and we have two [Applause] look at that two cards at once so i know what i'm going to do this one's going to go this way this one's going to stay that way glue oh i'm so toasty again she's got dry mouth ah glue oh i'm hoping that that dried fast and then we're gonna stamp so very happy oh so this one's going to go that direction don't wobble galzi it's okay i do have the pink marker to fix that little spot go down all right so we're going to put three this way kind of like the other one and three and to think originally this card was only going to have one flower i don't want that one but that would work fine so let's do that so kind of like the other one except these got texture in there there all right so we're gonna pop up that one and we're gonna pop up that one yep that's what we're gonna do i'm grabbing a thing you guys deserve a new one i think minnie me comes over here and like eats some of these things here she is she'll watch so that that should have been an underneath one but that direction it looks fine and then oh yeah [Applause] oh sorry sorry minnie i just dropped her on her head and there and i think we'll put some are a girl's best friend seriously uh there and there and this one will go we'll go for a big one and we'll go for a big one there where's my other thing because i can't [Laughter] tiddlywinks oh lord bless me i can't use that thing either okay i'm glad that's over oh there it is it's been found there you go right on her boob okay so let's bring some of these back oh minnie you can't have it there just like let's move it up a little bit we'll put it on your necklace that's some diamond what a lucky girl you are all right so we got that one we got that one we got that one and we got that one i think that's it that is it and i think that's in there enough okay so there's still time um if i get your email and payment before tomorrow then um or by tomorrow duh because i have to order on the fourth then um you can be in the paper share information is on the page and um yeah so this was this set it's fun i'll be using definitely these dies like mega amount of times this year and thanks for joining me everybody i always have fun
