COLLEGE MOVE IN DAY 2022!

foreign [Music] I cannot believe it is that time of year again back to school oh my God so to start off we started in California of course in my bedroom woke up super early around 4am and got dressed made my bed and got all of my bags in the car said bye to my room so sad I will see you Thanksgiving and then I went to the airport and said bye to Porter and my dad and my mom and I stopped off at this little cafe and got a breakfast sandwich for the flight and then we were in New York we got to New York around 2 or 3 P.M which was so ideal we just hung out for the next couple days until moving and then before we knew it it was move-in day so we woke up again around 6 a.m really early I did my makeup then we headed straight to the Manhattan Mini Storage which is where I had stored my stuff over the summer one of our family friends Lorelei came and drove us there and drove us to the dorm and helped us move everything in so sweet but this was the room guys I love it so much obviously I'm so much more moved in now so you will be seeing a room tour very soon in the next week or two but here's my empty room and this was all of my stuff when it finally came in my mom and Lorelei brought everything up so literally they slayed that was so amazing of them here's the door with all of our names on it I was the first one in the room but look at this bathroom it's so huge especially after last year's little dungeon bathroom hey Vlog it is 9am now we are finally moved in as always it was a little bit of a hectic morning been up since 6am I think this is sliding it's definitely crooked I am the first one in the suite this room is so cute the windows are so big and I'm so excited the lighting is really amazing in here but basically I have so much stuff to unpack now I felt like I was over packing so much but then like moving in there are some people that have more than me or like just about the same so maybe feel a little better well let me show you kind of all of my bags my crap because a lot of people have been asking how much I took to the airport and how much it's okay to bring so let me show you bestie these two suitcases from the airport and then this stuff was all in storage these bags I got off of Amazon and then these are like those really cheap Ikea bags I talked about in my like packing video and stuff and yeah I think that's just like a pillow here's a closet too this side just doesn't open because the desk is right there but there's nothing here and this is the one thing so I'm like kind of scared because it's so little closet space and Tara and I are gonna be sharing that but the drawers have more like space than my Lipton ones did last year because they used to be under the bed and it was two small ones that had the four so now we have this extra bottom one so hopefully that should be helpful this is gonna be my bed and my desk and I'm so excited yeah this is the windowsill and the view also just like last year my mom's birthday fell on move-in day again literally early rip she's been helping me move everything in I got her Broadway tickets for later today for the lion king so I'm gonna surprise her she doesn't know yet they ran downstairs to go get like cleaning supplies because it's kind of gross in here I printed out one of the tickets so I'm gonna give it to her soon but otherwise let's just start unpacking granted this is only my second College move-in day but they both pretty much like felt the same as last year when I moved into Lipton freshman year super hot day super busy just very stressful overall very emotional also it was my mom's birthday again too so two years in a row she's given her birthday to moving me into the dorm very early in the morning but when my mom and Lorelai went out to get cleaning supplies I started unpacking my room I had to put the bed risers on my bed but this bed was different from my last year bed in Lipton which was so weird because they don't actually fit in so right now I'm like sitting on the bed and the bed risers aren't fully in so we're just kind of hoping that it stays and it doesn't fall randomly but I will keep you updated on that basically I just had a lot of stuff to unpack and it took so much time so I did as much as I could I also cleaned the mattress before putting that on I just didn't show that I cleaned all the surfaces but I did as much as I could before I decided to call it quits when Tara ended up coming in with her family and I spent the rest of the day with my mom and doing any actual birthday stuff for her so the whole day didn't go to moving me in [Music] foreign she finally made it in she had some problems getting into the room so she was stressed AF but it was perfect timing because my mom and I headed out like literally five minutes after she got there and my mom went straight back to the room and I stopped at Essa bagel and got bacon egg and cheese bagel for us for a late breakfast honestly it was a crazy day and she picked up her birthday Starbucks and then also got me this little drink which was waiting when I got back to the room my brown sugar shake and espresso drink I got out these little presents that I had packed and hidden from her and gave them to her she opened them in bed and then I got changed because it was Broadway time literally all I did was put on a skirt and my docked but we didn't call that dressing up then we took an Uber and we were in Times Square Times Square is always like such a weird experience for me and we saw The Lion King it was so amazing this was also only the third Broadway show I've ever seen and I know it's super I don't even know the foresty to go see Lion King but it felt like I had to see it you know and it was amazing it did not disappoint I loved everything about it and then after that we passed by Washington Square Park and NYU and just that was crazy in itself [Music] and then we went to Little Italy we went to De Janeiro which I've been to two times now actually we went there for my mom's birthday dinner and we had these fun little drinks I got this prosciutto pizza and I split this pasta with my mom as well [Music] then there's Lorelei faith and Dave and we all had like a fun cute little birthday dinner for my mom this is everyone singing to her and it was the funniest thing ever I feel like it's always such an awkward experience and then they let my mom back up and we unpacked some more before going back to the room [Music] foreign [Music] Tara is currently out right now slaying they let my mom back up because we like it's still the same move-in day and the guard was really nice so we've been hanging out up here I've just unpacked more stuff it doesn't look like it but I like unpacked a lot of stuff that's in the drawers now and in storage and everything so getting there still have a lot of crap but it's looking better and I'm really excited I'm staying in the hotel with my mom for the next two nights until she leaves so I'll probably like come back and really finish everything up Monday night and then we'll finally get like an official room tour also the drawers right here are so annoying but there's no other room in the bedroom for them so they're kind of just there but I think I'll decorate the top and make it look cute so hopefully it's fine and last year for those of you who see my Lipton freshman year Vlogs I was on the third floor Washington Square Park which was so cool and so beautiful and like that'll never happen again but now I'm up so much higher and I have a view of the city so I'm so excited because obviously so different from last year and these windows are so huge and nice but also this will be so pretty for when it snows I'm just saying and that's our pizza from dinner that we're gonna take back I'm sending stuff home with my mom too but next time I see you guys I think we'll be like Monday night and we will finish moving in happy birthday before my mom left she helps me do one big grocery run my first grocery trip runs we went to Trader Joe's and I got a bunch of stuff and then we dropped her off at Penn Station oh so emo but that night I took my leftover pizza from the night before and Tara and I went to Washington Square Park and ate dinner honestly I could not bring myself to Vlog in the park in front of everyone but it was just a really cute time and then the next day I came back and literally dedicated so many hours to just forcing myself to unpack because there was a lot to do foreign [Music] foreign my stuff was honestly kind of all over the place it was really just about figuring out where to organize and put everything so that's kind of where we were at there but then the next morning I have my first morning in the dorm and I didn't have any dishes yet so I used this granola from Trader Joe's and I had one of my cashew yogurts and made myself my first meal in the dorm which was so cute but it literally was just like yogurt and granola in a yogurt cup with a plastic spoon because I had absolutely nothing but cheers to that good morning last night was the first night in the new dorm sleigh and yeah that's basically it I'm pretty much done setting up everything I just have to do decorations and hang up posters and stuff but I love this room so much it's so bright in here and it's so nice to be like so much higher up also yesterday when Tara and I went out to go eat pizza in the park she ran into Trader Joe's first to like look for something there and she didn't find anything but while I was waiting outside of Palladium so many of you came up and said hi to me and talked to me about watching my YouTube videos and that was so cute and I wish that I could have like vlogged with you guys because so if you were one of those people that came up yesterday outside of Palladium and you see me again say Hi and then tell me to put you in a vlog because I will but I also got this DM yesterday so this is the only thing I can put in I've been laying in bed and just ordering so much stuff my professor for stop motion sent us a whole list of like shopping supplies and stuff that we need so I just ordered so much stuff from all of these different stores for pickup I think I'm gonna go do a little run around today and pick up everything I ordered some really cheap dishes from Target because they had plates and stuff for 50 cents each first I am going to get ready right now because I'm gonna meet Emma and we're gonna get lunch together in Koreatown so yeah hello makeup done today we're going really basic it's also so hot here so we have this tank top which is from Zara oh no and then the skirt which is thrifted black socks and then I'm gonna wear my heaven Doc Martin Mary Jane shoes so yeah that's it that's the fit but I need to go this is all the stuff that I have to put on my walls here is the desk here is the bed and the floor and Tara and I literally have like the matching almost exactly the same Ikea rugs here are the drawers the desk I put up some flowers that I got from Trader Joe's because these drawers are in the weirdest spot like right in front of the window so I feel like the flowers and stuff help a little and then this little ledge which I've got like my outlet which is nice because I was able to use my computer and charge it from bed and it's also not hanging off like the side of the bed like it was in Lipton which it was always falling over and it was so annoying and then I have this little IKEA lamp back here instead of my desk this time because Tara showed me this desk actually has a light installed in it and it was so bright so after food I'm gonna go pick up everything hopefully before everything closes so yeah into the heat into the concrete jungle Heather I don't know she like had an extra mattress topper but she gave me this one and I'm so excited because I really needed it so I'm going to put that on tonight and then when I saw Emma yesterday she brought me back some chocolates from Germany and these gorgeous leather gloves from I think an antique mall in Germany as well so I'm so excited we moved the table over here and we're gonna get a little couch from Ikea and a cute toffee table I'm gonna find something to eat because I am hungry basically wanted to give you a quick update I will do a full room tour video Once the room is done I ended up not really loving a lot of the posters that I had last year in Lipton so I kind of just want to search for new posters and like decorations which could take a minute as well I'll film a whole in-depth room tour dorm tour of the whole Suite when everything's done so that'll probably be up in a couple weeks I am loving this storm so much more than last year already these windows are so nice I will see you in my first day of school Vlog next [Music]
