instagram that's the app all right so i have no mail today but i do have chunky baker behind me hey what's hello hello over there is everyone hey madeline oh i'm miss madeleine today hey what's going on oh can't wait to get my stickers all right so i want to do something a little bit different today i don't have any mail to open so i'm going to work with this guy look how beautiful he is you guys it's mesoamerican art but i wanted to try something that requires some dexterity which i don't have which is why i work on intuition and am not a writer so um let's play all right also i wanted to mention as we begin uh if you haven't done the uh prompt weekly challenge this week what is it elvis birkcage bird cage come on over see what i'm doing so i'm just relief relief releasing this beautiful little image out of the paper and i hate this paper because look what it does it always like it records my prints that's so gross and i'm not even who said that madeline madeline you get a prize not sure what it is yet but yes it is all neck we love the allmax um so i want to play with the allmight figure today so it's birdcage madeline you haven't done the prompt and if you have do send it to me it's all about birdcage what does freedom look like to you so we've gotten some amazing collages including janet's and whoa do we touch on some nerves it's all about freedom and what does that mean to you so janet actually said that all this time she wasted on therapy and all she needed to do was collage and do the prompts so here we go but she's keeping her meds good for you all right uh i'm just playing with this guy meanwhile let me talk to my guy how are you elvis what are you up to so far so good people are saying hello we have christine christie burton karen care oh where's karen there's karen hey karen all right you know it's gonna be a good day when karen's on um yeah so the prompt bird cage we've gotten some amazing stuff last week it was deconstruction and i feel like i'm still thinking about deconstruction because that's what i want to do with my little almond friend so we'll play so i'm kind of still appalled by all this like paw prints anyway all right so come on let's do this so as i'm doing this i will urge you to go to youtube and check out the um [Music] the youtube that i put out today which is yes last week's live where i open all that fun stuff and i think i took really fun pictures of it check this out so i have this amazing little dirty thing negative space that i can use for a later collage right and always always look on the other side because look at that even that's an impressive little collage happening right there right so before i start deconstructing my little friend here i found this this is just like come on too precious not to play with so i don't know who that is but they did an amazing job of taking this beautiful collage material of a moth and it says never eat buttered popcorn before collaging so um some people are multi-talented and janet is not only an amazing collage artist she's also the funniest person i've ever encountered on instagram um so check her out uh i think she needs her own uh podcast i don't know i remember i mentioned something about crystal castles and just it all started there at any rate so here's my little moth all right let's see what's going on so i kind of want to have this as a background right so i think this is going to be my collage right there but you know what you know what my favorite thing to do is right hey over there susan susan lerner you guys amazing artist all right so this is like my three-step collage right one two three but i wanna do this really fun thing that i saw an artist do and you guys never feel intimidated to copy an artist and i don't mean copy but i mean to try their techniques right so what i saw this person do is they did a grid from their image so i'm gonna do this and this scares the heck out of me because i'm afraid i'm never gonna be able to put it together again okay actually before i do this all right set yourself up for success so before i do that i am going to cement where i'm gonna place this guy so this like i said this is the gist of my collage today's super instructional right today's class today's school we're we're all gonna learn something today at least i am let's go cause we have a lot of people joining in for this class oh who's in there where are my five dollars i'm scared keep them keep them uh but due to the um the prompts y'all they're really really fun okay so we're gonna try something scary scary for me because i am very intuitive and do not follow rules very well so what i'm going to do is i'm going to turn this little guy into like a grid doesn't make sense and i'm going to work with my least favorite material which is this thing um glue stick so i'm going to turn them into little squares all right and then i'm just going to start gluing it together as i go because i don't want to create a a puzzle that i can't solve later and the fun part about this is then you can kind of put it together you know haphazardously or just intuitively there we go right so i'm not doing it perfect because i don't do anything perfect um so let's play oh maybe i don't want to touch his eyes because his eyes are kind of cool right or look at that look at the back of that isn't that nice maybe i don't want to give him eyes no we'll give him eyes okay my all my friend here check that out okay i totally wrinkled it cool and then i'm going to do it again and the phone begins christine says he has a headache he has that he has a migraine somebody get him some wine okay so the fun begins when you start putting things upside down or start playing with the order some putting his mouth to the side not only does he have a headache now he has a toothache all right so see what's happening here now we're kind of messing around with the order of things and that's the whole point of this little exercise and technique so maybe i'll just leave him i'll leave his neck okay so one thing i hate you guys is this media mashup says you are brave to glue right okay thank you i needed that support yeah but i don't like this so i'm gonna have to compensate for that somehow okay we'll just go as oh look at this see i always i'm always surprised with the back look at that that's so even too so you know what we're gonna go with that try not to wrinkle it because then it'll buckle check that out all right i'm having fun here all right i'm still i still feel safe and supported okay oh look at that maybe if i connect it shucks all right you know what i'm just gonna do it and then we'll find a way look what happened that's neat all right you know what look problem solved see there's always a solution my friends follow your solution so yes i am totally self-help guy i read all the self-help books and i'm always like yes this is a total puzzle cool yeah it's a total puzzle it's scary we're doing it check even that's oh that's kind of a really neat collage okay let me not stop because i sometimes i'm like no it's so oh wow that's really neat too all right we're just having tons of like options here right so i'm gonna go with this look at that talk about crazy christine says he is so much more interesting deconstructed right i'm telling you these these prompt words live on yeah deconstruction is a great way to kind of question our surroundings because look at this guy now he has like he's like a spider okay this is kind of cool and actually this doesn't bother me but i don't want to stop just yet also my friends i've turned a corner to a new level of fancy elvis yesterday made me some kind of like lebanese rose water drink has anyone ever had that rose water drink delicious it was just literally water with rose what is it rose extract or whatever and uh and sugar and it was dil i felt like i was drinking perfume which i i do in my spare time and it was delicious um tomorrow i'm gonna have it with some like gin or something which you know as an adult okay here we go you know what let me just it looks like eyes under the shoulders yes isn't that neat so i'm trying to change the whiff here a little bit to see what happens why jenna says that she has a daily the world's order do you have a daily you must look amazing hey look who's over there oh my god do all just introduce me to the most amazing yodeling singer from india his name is kishore kumar amazing if you can go to his page if you can go to dual's page and check it out it's so good this singer is so jovial and like okay this is really cool i'm really excited you know what i'm not gonna cut his feet or break his legs because he's perfect and i've heard him that much and also i don't want to break his like but also look if i cut it more i'll lose the space on the bottom so you know what i'm just going to do this what does it say you i just waved that oh oh see i can't see all right so this is a collage i i need more because this i really like this all right so i'm gonna add one or two more things and where am i gonna go to find something of course my horse goody box my goodie box the box and i have new stickers from jelly roll okay let's go [Music] mr wood joint hey how are you doing uh saying good morning from india hey good morning india all right so we might find something cool here we might not oh this is kind of this is from last week's but that doesn't really go actually i really wish i could squeeze this in somehow what do we further deconstruct god this whole deconstruction thing is taking over our lives yeah kelly loves this thank you try it out let me know how it goes for you i think i think we're on to something here oh this is oh wow okay this is really cool so this isn't at all where i thought i was gonna go but it went there and we followed it wow maybe we do deserve a drink today all this i love this so i keep telling people yeah collage is very cathartic this is this is not a a fake odd ooh this is real love it okay and i always say you know if you want to finish it off have your arsenal of things that you always use like you know me and my little dots right so i have my little dots that i can just almost like my signature it's kind of like okay boom we're done those are the clear dots too those are the clear dots which i didn't really use very well right now because on okay maybe i've been down this vinyl letter kick where i like want to put letters to everything i don't know if i have any on me let's see i have this piece of toilet paper i don't know why but i don't want to throw it away i'm telling you at some point you realize yeah you're a hoarder that's all right pia wants to play now indigene says i like the thought of deconstructed freedom yes there you go you just became a superstar you mixed both uh prompts together heck yeah oh yes dots dots forever oh my goodness i almost forgot if you are a member something about like monochromatic art and i'm like what and i was like monochromatic art that sounds amazing so the whole collage kit is black and white all right you guys i might have killed this i don't all of a sudden it feels off balance so what happens you add more you add more because more is more so you know what i'm just what bothers me here is the the scale of it all it all seems to be chunky which is fine but you want to bounce so i'm going to like chunky elvis okay so i'm going to add um some little black dots see this just adds a little bit of different scale right all of a sudden it's not just about chunky because you know you need a little variety same thing when you're painting you know not all the brush strokes need to be the same not all the colors need to be the same so i'm just kind of this makes me happy happy er okay this one goes well there and uh i like to work in threes right oh yeah okay this is this is good so become a member now and get yourself the
