[Music] everybody tomahto today we're talking about our our 75 / 5 project we've kind of set a personal deadline to get this done in six weeks for the arrow Blake show in Raleigh North Carolina today we're gonna be doing a front end swath with a r94 and changing out the wheels and tires a new sweetheart [Music] [Music] so the first thing we're going to do is remove the stock before ever seen any automobile use a 13 [Music] [Music] the forks came off pretty easy put the top outer race doesn't have much of a lip so it took some convincing so here we're machining the triple clamps for this for the r9t forks reusing a 50 millimeter fork offset to account for the wheel change and entire size change for the new fork [Music] [Music] so normally the stem would be pressed in but since we're just mocking things up we made a kind of a mock up stem with smaller diameter so we could just kind of slip everything together you know we still need to get this triple clamp and it eyes black so everything will be coming back apart [Music] [Music] so here we're installing the rent all that bar we strapped a little tape around and stuff [Music] so here I'm drawing up the r9t conversion of rotor attender [Music] so since this is the the first one we've ever made we need to test fit make sure [Music] [Music] [Music] so here we have Seth lacing and assembling the front and rear wheels front will be the RIT conversion wheel and the rear is the r75 disc conversion rear wheel [Music] their house [Music] for a motorbike so for this build we're using the r9t fork and we've made on our team so we used the stock axle from the our 19 stocks Pacers stock bearing separators and we placed it to a 2.75 inch round [Music] k18 tires [Music] so for this we're using gal4 rudders we picked the gal for because we could get a matching fun [Music] [Music] [Music] Jimmy Oh Rosie's comfort since the space is hit back unless they're for the CalPERS we just picked up a set of used are 19 Cal first so here we have the the original swing arm that came off of our 71 our 70 5/5 this swing arm is the short wheelbase swing arm later on in 73 they made a longer version for stability when you as a writer or luggage it's about two inches longer for us we're just doing it for visual get the back tire out from one of the bike so this is our original differential from the slash five and this will directly bolts up to the to the new swing arm later here for mock up we're just going to leave this we're not going to really get into it too much so later [Music] all right so here we have the rear hub that we make for the BMWs we have two different ones whether or not you have a snowflake wheel or an existing drum wheel this case we were drum originally so that's when we're using and for that we use a ducati rotor here again we use the big alpha rotor since this profile match to the front and you'll need a p32 or p34 caliper all that it's really going to be different is where the bleeder and the line attach to the caliper itself and part of that includes the brake caliper on the other side here and we've already done this when we designed the hub so you'll need to remove the drive dog from the original hub or spline coupling by doing that you're going to grind out the rivets that hold it in this is pretty straightforward just grind them down and drill them out and so once you have your drive dog removed from the original hub it'll drop right in here we're not gonna be taking this back out so I'm gonna go ahead and walk take these in so for the bearings we've went away from the taper bearings that are in there originally and we went to a double sealed radio ball bearing the original spacer for the center will be used and spacers on the outside will be used so for the rear we're running a two and three-quarter inch wide rim 18 inch with a 130 eighty tire we might change this out to the 120 just because the profile is a little smaller and the width isn't that much wider maybe an eighth of an inch wider but this is pretty much the max you can put on that swing arm without rubbing even at this width and makes it kind of tricky to get it past that Drive and the swing arm to get it inside [Music] all right so this is the little pin that holds the swing arm in this threads in and then it gets locked with this 27 millimeter or 27 millimeter hex to locking into place to do that we had to turn down a turn down a socket so that it would fit in there or was it just doesn't fit [Music] [Music] [Music] so this is the brake caliper mounting bracket and this will reuse the original axle just slips in here like this see it down in there good to go [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so that's it for this week on the r75 project and we'll follow up next week with another video thanks for watching [Music]
