ONE FALSE MOVE, AND THEY'D HAVE ANOTHER DISASTER ON THEIR HANDS. >> THEY'D REMOVE SOME DEBRIS, THEY'D PUT A ROW OF REPLACEMENT ANCHORS TILL THEY GOT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE TOP OF THE ROCK, WHICH IS WHERE YOU SEE THE SITE RIGHT NOW. >> Geller: EVENTUALLY, THE TEAM WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE THAT ONLY TWO SECTIONS OF THE BATHTUB WALL HAD BEEN SERIOUSLY DAMAGED IN THE TOWERS' COLLAPSE. MOST OF THE SLURRY WALLS HAD HELD, AND THANKS TO THE STRENGTH OF THE FOUNDATION'S 1966 DESIGN, NO MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRED. TODAY, A NEW FOUNDATION IS BEING LAID JUST NORTH OF THE SITE OF USING THE ORIGINAL BATHTUB. THE BUILDING THAT WILL RISE 1,776 FEET ABOVE IT WILL BE CALLED THE FREEDOM TOWER. >> THE NEW FREEDOM TOWER OBVIOUSLY HAS MORE SUBSTANTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF FOUNDATIONS BECAUSE THE BUILDING IS GOING TO BE TALLER THAN THE ORIGINAL SO THE FREEDOM TOWER HAS TO HAVE IT HAS TO HAVE SUFFICIENT CAPACITY TO RESIST OVERTURNING. >> Geller: INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING NOT ONLY HELPED TO ESTABLISH THE CITY'S FOUNDATIONS, IT ALSO ENSURED FROM THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING TO THE NEW FREEDOM TOWER AND ALL THE BUILDINGS IN BETWEEN, NEW YORK WILL ALWAYS HAVE AN INFAMOUS SKYLINE AND, UNDOUBTEDLY, BE ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS CITIES IN THE WORLD, BUT NO MATTER WHAT YOU SEE UP ABOVE, REMEMBER, THERE'S ANOTHER WORLD DOWN BELOW, A WORLD FULL OF PASSAGEWAYS, TRAINS, AND EVEN RIVERS, A WORLD THAT'S OFF-LIMIT TO THE PUBLIC AND IS ALWAYS JUST
