Citroën 2CV 360° VR Car Drive | Car S.O.S.

so this is the Citroen deux chevaux 2cv yeah that's right yes it has 420 five CCS two cylinder engine and twelve brake horsepower approximately 425 225 CCS is basically point four of a litre so if you think about your car most people have applied to two liters at 1.9 turbo diesel this is point four this is tiny it is it is absolutely tiny and what I must say about it is that in this 1957 car we are two big blokes yeah squeezed in but there is enough room for us we're both 6 4 plus yeah I'm 6 foot 2 near enough tim is 6 foot 6 near enough and then look at that I cannot believe the Headroom but I've sussed it I've worked out just the the clever engineering that the French actually came up with all the way back there I mean dude it's quite a tight corner down there this thing pulls off at like I mean if any even if it like the lorry comes around I was gonna get wiped out is that flat out yeah here we go is that it it's a second that's absolute doc that is so slow in fact you know I'm gonna do I'm gonna get my folk I've got a speed app on my phone they can actually tell us just how quickly we're going I can tell you on the screen oh here we are going 45 km/h 50 right no no forget about km/h all right here we go so the speed we are going is 35 miles per hour gummy then give me some beads I'm placing your foot is flat to the ground well that's what I mean now I'm in overdrive because this is three speeds plus overdrive yeah where are we are at we're all sitting well let now let's do a get away from where we've just done a bank over we're getting out of town as quickly as we can to flooring I've got okay well I am full 4243 downhill exactiy 4445 come on over 45 miles per hour yeah that's it a bridge is being overtaken by everything boys I go through by the way those are just impatient people oh no hang on keep keep going keep going keep that foot down because if this is come to a slight incline this is a very exciting if you were walking it you wouldn't know it was a hill and it's dropped down from 45 to 34 miles per hour but it's perfect because that's what I told ya that's perfect because at the top of that incline we had a corner so it's a safety feature I'll tell you what one thing I've noticed is do it is so comfortable it's like driving around on a really really bouncy now sofa well that's right the suspension is superb and then of course you've got the seats which are basically deck chairs and on the deck chairs you've got Springs that are suspending the material that you sit upon yeah look so that so they are just like the old school chairs where these are pieces of plywood when they've replaced them with a selection of spring each and then a little bit of cloth and a bit of foam they're just deck chairs like you say yeah they are exactly that so you've got like double suspension and what I love about that the thing that I think is a genius piece of engineering it's the fact that you there's no adjustability and the seats whatsoever but generally speaking if you're a taller blow and a bigger bloke you weigh more so therefore the springs and Sten lure you sink lower and whatever size you are your view from the way out of the window will be perfect it's brilliant I love it and what I also love is a speedo he's located over on the far left side of the windscreen cave honey and just below that there's a little round knob if I pull that out less you're right supervisors now the wipers are the moment I've got about two degrees of twist Oh once for the windscreen wipers come off we're gonna have to pull over yeah pull over dude okay sliding down the bonnet it's sliding down the bonnet and we've driven over our windscreen wiper but not to worry because I'll get it when those really annoyed cars behind now at this point I'm tempted to go without him very tempted to read where is he the compound of in school have you got it gone Saints on let's go right we found it we found wiper this is brilliant all right so there we go should I look at off okay all right I said world's tiniest windscreen wiper Andre can you put it in first anyway oh you can so Google clutch yeah so if I put it over into first yeah without your foot on the tiger my foot on the clutch right doesn't doesn't make any difference so can you pull off so I can put it into second or third go on then okay so go in fact no okay right over its first no fault in the clutch feet up I mean first the handbrake out right indicate we go and we're off with only one windscreen wiper blade what's going off she busted No just timing everything is absolutely love this car is so full of character I mean it's system ridiculous that it ever got made so it was designed as an agricultural vehicle for farmers and they reckoned that they wanted it whether they reckon it's capable of driving a client across so this thing was designed it wasn't illegal fathers who decide to go across a plowed field carrying some eggs and a load of weights in it as well and apparently you would get you across that field without breaking the eggs yeah that's right I can believe it as well because it's a smoother silk that's sweet but why did they ever do that I mean it's like me saying right I'm designing a new car I don't want it to be able to carry 14 turkeys to pepperoni pizzas and a load of Bruce Springsteen sweatpants okay what why would you do that because back in the day that's what France needed it needed a vehicle that can be used in the agricultural environment so people would buy a car a small holder would could buy a car just about be able to afford one and and they could use him for their normal everyday sort of run-of-the-mill stuff that they wanted to do right so it's one car for all yeah could do anything with it apart from get over 30 some of the miles an hour for we managed to get with tailwind 42 or 30 or whatever it was well that's right but don't you think it's a brilliant charming vehicle absolutely in terms of marks out of 10 for this thing I'm gonna go straight in with a 10 more fun of this thing that I've had in any car for a long time I think you've got a girl I think that's about right I mean you know any other car with a windscreen wiper falls off you'd be really annoyed but the hostess job this week no worries he's not bothering his it's like something fell off me okay no worries it says like doesn't annoy you you can't be annoyed in this car school's out ten it's nine and a half maybe even a ten really even return yeah I thought about from you straight up ten yeah I'm gonna slap it down with the big tent I absolutely love this thing it's just the epitome of charming that's what it is it is completely charming car
