Instead of building a bridge between citizens and police, this crew is building a divide.
[Edit: the crew I am referring to are the police.]
For those that can't hear what the Judge said, she basically says that if the officer can't tell the difference between a G or a 6 when reading the plate he should run both and see if what comes back matches what he sees in front of him (meaning make/model/color of car etc etc). Then she instantly find that the state hasn't met the burden of proof (that the plate was obstructed and thus the officer couldn't read it) and tosses the case.
The 12 cops being there hurt their case. It probably raised the judges eyebrow that something fishy was going on.
I feel bad for his wife/girl/boyfriend and/or dog or kids, maybe even the next poor sap he pulls over for breathing without a permit; someones gonna get their ass kicked by officer cuntflap here... Awesome the whole barnyard came to see justice up close and personal, fuck everyone of those bad apples.
I have police in my family and they all have this attitude of being more self aware and feel in charge on everyone. They feel as if they are better I guess is another way to put it. But kind of in a different way. I prefer to just avoid them completely.
Why do so many people hate police? /s
if 12 cops have nothing more important to do than intimidate a witness, it seems like this department could afford to lay off the superfluous personnel.
I love that he brought 12 buddies to watch him LOSE!!! I bet he feels like a big man NOW!!!! HAHAHAHA fucking pigs.
Cock suckers. Look at all that tax money sitting in court.
The common misunderstanding I think the media and the police unions are missing is this. The police have a job to do. The job is a shitty job, dealing with shitty people. The job is dangerous, the job drains your life, and I think everyone agrees on these facts. I am thankful for the police because without them, chaos would ensue. However, the consistent display of arrogant attitudes of police officers and their tendency to treat the public like children, punishing those who talk back, even for legitimate reason, is, and has been for as long as I can remember the reason why people hate the police.
This power structure is full of pressure and the release valves that are supposed to be in place to alleviate high pressure, such as the citizen complaint process, are useless. Pressure builds and builds among citizens who are tired of being apart of this pseudo parent-child relationship with the state, and when there's no legitimate way to truly catalyze change, people will turn to illegitimate ways.
People who are shocked or outraged over cops getting ambushed are either not paying attention, or are too afraid of disrespecting authority to address the root of the problem. Too many cops have attitudes like these motherfuckers in that court house and slowly but surely, dumber and dumber people are becoming wise to antics like these.
We aren't asking you to be nice, we are asking you to not treat us like a child. You quit giving your condescending attitudes and maybe people might like you. Otherwise, stop complaining when people say fuck the police, its the only release valve they have left. Or maybe asks those cops in Dallas what their release valve entailed.
I'm a bit dubious of the description here. 12 cops show up to support him? Most likely these 12 cops also had cases that day and had to be there anyway.
So the guy beat the rap. I suppose you could call that a win. The cops still pulled him over, got his ID, ran him for warrants, gave him a citation, and made him show up to court.
