Cisco router WAN Redundancy/WAN Failover and Change Routing dynamicaly Using IP SLA - Route Tracking

welcome in this video we'll cover automatically change routing or why redundancy using IP SLA in our scenario we have a branch site connected to the main site using two links for example this is fiber or gig Ethernet link and the other link is Wireless or whatever also the same thing can be applied if you have two internet connections from different ISPs this is the first ice P and this is a second I speak in our scenario we want this link to be the primary link all the data will go through this link or router one to get the destination network 192 and 68.4 T and if this link goes down the Raptor III will change the route automatically to the secondary link or router 2 to get the destination Network for T the idea here are three has two routes to get the network destination for T one of them is primary and the other is a backup are three sent ICMP echo or pink to r1 if are no replies will remain use r1 to get the network for T if it didn't reply r3 will use the other route or router 2 to get the network for T automatically this is what we want to do using IP SLA let's see how to do that first step is to configure SLA we want to create SLA router III compte IP a silly number one or two or anything you want from your asset a number one you can send ICMP packets ICMP echo to the IP 22 to from the source interface fast 0/0 source interface has 0 0 and this ICMP echo will be sent every 10 seconds for example frequency and with time out 6,000 milliseconds means router if 3 didn't receive a reply from 22 to 1 in 6 seconds it will consider it down this SL a will be executed for a period of time IP is squeeze one we want to schedule SLA number one from now start time now life forever this is specified the life of this SAF for example in our scenario forever the second step is defining an object that tracks the SLA using the correct number for example any number track number 10 this is what reg the SL a number one IPS LA one ib si a while reach ability the reach ability so it will track the state or the reach ability of SLA the reach ability can be up or down if it receives a reply from the router one it will be up if didn't receive apply it will be down let's see short reacted so the reach ability is up because it can bring to the router one end router one sensor oblige router three the last step is configuring the static routes and telling the router that the static route 222 two will be the primary and the other router or the other route will be the secondary let's see how to do that confi IP route to leave the network 14 using this subnet mask go to 192 6220 to do and type track 10 means this route is linked to track object number 10 that tracks the reach ability of SLA number 1 as I said a silly number one sent the ICMP echo to 20.2 and if you 22 to sensor apply to r3 the reach apology will be up and if 22 students enter blight to r3 the reach ability will be down press enter now we want to configure the other route here to get the destination Network for T IP route 168 week 4202 555 0 the next stop is 32 and we want to assign administrative distance more than one because the first route is the main route and with the instead of distance number one and this is the backup route with higher administrative distance so I'll type 5 and press ENTER now go to show IP route router e3 will use it when t2 - next stop to get the destination network 40 now I want to go to router 1 for example I will go to throw 5 0 0 compte interface fat 0 0 and I will remove the IP address so now the problem in this connection between the two sides or from R 3 to R 1 so go to R 3 now R 3 will not receive a reply from 22 to as you see the reach ability down pipe sharp in out again as you see router III change the route automatically to 32 - this is how to use IP SL a four-wire redundancy or for tamasic exchange routing for more videos visit my channel on youtube and visit necessary so at blogspot.com thank you for watching
