[Music] in this video we'll take a look at intelligent capture which is one of the most important features on DNA Center assurance let's talk about a typical use case where a user has been complaining about frequent Wi-Fi dis connections and see how intelligent capture can help in debugging such issues on this DNA Center I'm running the latest firmware which is 1.3.1 dot 2 let's quickly search for that user on this DNA Center one can search the user based on the IP address the username or the MAC address so in this case I'm using the MAC address and then getting into decline 360 page of that particular user so here we've come up with a health score concept which is an aggregate of the onboarding status the RSSI and the signal-to-noise ratio and also we talked about the onboarding information like to which a society the client is connected to and the respective access point and the WLAN controller let's quickly get into the intelligent capture page of that particular client and talk about an interesting feature called anomaly capture I'm sure each one of us know how difficult it is to run around with the packet sniffer and wait for an issue to occur and capture those packets don't we the best part is anomaly capture does it for you automatically the AP is constantly monitored the clients four set of preconditioned as in when any issue related to onboarding or roaming occurs the AP is captured those packets and sends it to DNA Center let's take a look at one such anomaly capture so here we can see that the client has failed to connect because it did not respond to the EP ID request so here if we integrate Cisco cmx we also get real-time location of the client and we have this cool feature called Auto packet analyzer which will decode those pcap files and then come up with packet by packet analysis one also gets to download those packets and also look it up on Wireshark as well along with the pcap files we also get the RF statistics like the RSSI the signal-to-noise ratio the data rates and DX RX packets etc the issue can occur at numerous places it could be on the client side it could be on the AP side or it could be due to RF or on the application side of things now that we have seen the client side of things let's quickly take a look at the AP side of things so this is the access point 360 page or the device 360 page let's quickly get into the intelligent capture page of that particular access point so here we can see that the RF statistics which we'll talk about the number of clients which are connected to that radio along with the channel utilization here we can see that the non Wi-Fi channel utilization is quite alarming here the non-waiver channel utilization is close to 59% whereas the channel utilization for this particular radio is just 23% along with this we also get interesting information like free mirrors the TX power and noise floor along with multicast and broadcast counter let's take a look at spectrum analysis which will give us information about the RF here we can see that there is some interference being seen on channel 1 and channel 2 we also show the respective interference and duty cycle charts let's take a look at application side of things one has to integrate vinum which is network analysis module and then enable data packet captures where the vinum will decode those data packets and then comes up with application analysis let's take a quick example here where we can see the list of applications along with the packet loss the wireless delay and jitter information let's take a look at the last two features which are live capture and schedule capture the main use case of live capture is to track your VIP clients like your CEO or CTO and make sure their Wi-Fi experience is good once we enable live capture we get onboarding events along with RF statistics like our SSI snr etc one can use this real-time information and proactively act upon before a issue gets escalated let's quickly see how to enable the scheduled capture one can go to the manage tab on the assurance and go to the client scheduled capture if you click on the client scheduled capture and and one can use the option where they can schedule captures at a later point in time and we can select the user based on the username or the MAC address or the IP address this completes all the features in intelligent capture thanks for watching [Music]
