CHUNKY GOLD! Prospecting with a TROMMEL and a NEW SLUICE!

what's up YouTube it's AJ from a 79 prospecting today is option Thursday our first game plan is to work an area that we found earlier in the spring it was an area that has a lot of gold good chunky stuff and we kind of filed that away in our memory bank we're gonna run for a couple of hours see how it goes and if we're on the gold we're doing well our test bands look good we'll keep going for the rest of the day but if the goal doesn't look too hot we got other cool things planned I just bought a new sluice box it's called the Grizzly Gold trap it's one of the new generation fluid bed sluices Gramps actually working on that right now and taking around with it so we're gonna play around with that a little bit as well so you've got a lot plan today let's get cracking we're gonna be running in this area right here you can see in from the camera there's lots of big rocks all over the place so this is a place where a lot of heavy materials been deposited in the past we found good gold in our test pans here and this is where we're gonna start off so we'll dig here down to the clay layer and we'll run it so this is our gold fox trommel we haven't used it too much but we gotta get in the right area to run it and we are in a great area today so let's go ahead and start running some pay dirt [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is our first test pan of the day nice big chunky piece on the left lots of finer pieces going towards the right and this keeps up and having a really good day this is that decomposed cetera set the goal love to sit on that's the stuff for running [Music] [Applause] to do our first cleanup now though Graham and I are pretty excited because we can already see gold in the map his kids stuff and you'll the test pan yeah I saw gold in the horn of the first Graham's doing his first cleanup with the gold cloth pans just shaking it back and forth we got some really good test pans so I'm hoping we got big cleanup here 15 buckets or so oh stop right there oh that's looking gonna keep shaking it oh man this is Lilly Graham's first time you look at holy smokes Oh beautiful see who needs a blue ball man you can do this at home guys this thing is incredible oh it's going the whole bottom there nice oh man that may look ten times better nice hold back and just start tapping this back end here watch will happen it's make the gold walk to the backside now tap the part top right there yeah see guys you saw me do this at home in a controlled manner we're doing this out in the middle of the creek with real blacks and real pay dirt real gold and check that out you almost got that cleaned up it's still coming it's still walking clean out fifteen buckets that is awesome right there all right so that's a pretty good start to the day but we're calling an option not because we're not on the gold it's because it's like 91 degrees and there's no wind here so it is really hot so we want to just go ahead and play in the water a little bit so Graham still digging in the same spot you can see behind me where we've been digging all morning and we're gonna try and run all of it through the Grizzly Gold trap see we can get some gold that way [Applause] look at that like yellow and it's sitting there check this out he's kind of cool just put this on the slick play here stratify those it goes down he can quickly tell right over here if there's any gold [Music] [Applause] [Music] well if you look beautiful what you found alright so we're doing a little cleanup here with the gold claw now we've got a lot more material so we're gonna have to use the the course riffles on the other side first yeah I don't know how much left so we'll just tilt the pan like this everything back in the center there now we're down this somewhat stratify it again I'm just rolling work it down and see what we can find yes let's go low if they're not too much just a little color in there all right so I can see some nice little pieces of gold there and you can see right in there that's pretty cool so you can see the gold sitting on top there they can gently kind of wash them the black sand off not bad and look at that big grin check that out that looks like a tiny little piece of gold and a tiny low piece of quartz that's pretty cool it's probably about 20 or so snakes in there yes I mean that's good gram cuz you know bits catching that stuff yeah there's anything bigger would catch it right that's so that's that's pretty good that's a winner yeah I knew something had happened in this area a long time ago because I was walking up and there was these two people in here digging and I was just trying to learn a little bit more about where to go what to do they were feeding us loose and I could see these nice-sized Pickers just rolling hitting a sluice box and and I was watching cuz I was fascinated and trying to get a layout of the area so here's a here take a pan so they give me a shovel put it in my pain my pant it and sure enough that was color every pan and almost everything had nice sized flakes in it so I knew then I said okay I gotta remember this earlier and since then I've done real good just focusing on this general fifty-yard are you around here the flakes are coming this afternoon guys stay tuned walk upstream do a little detecting so you can find any good-looking areas and keep working all right we just found a good signal walking upstream let's go ahead and dig and see what it is [Music] [Applause] [Music] on a couple fine pieces of gold a mint looks like here little piece of metal here [Music] uh-huh we found our targets these few little metal red Hook's me we haven't been here very long it looks like so mustn't wash down from the flood alright guys we are calling it a day it's over 90 it
