good day folks and welcome back to the channel so I have a sa young autograph right here and it's authenticated which is great but I don't know you know the value of something like this I mean it's Sai Young I imagine everything's collectible absolutely no he's a legend I mean the autograph looks really clean compared to autographs that are out there you can perfectly see the signature it is a real old photo of them so this image was probably in the newspaper cuz it seems to be matted you know on on top of this board as far as as the pictures concern it's probably uh going back to Cleveland for an Old-Timers Game the only thing is that items are more desirable when they have like a more present or playing Day photo and as far as the signature it's definitely a signature he signed after his career the value is a lot higher when it's signed during his career mhm what kind of value do you think it has for this there aren't tons of photos out there of him I'd give a ret value of $2,500 okay thanks for coming out I appreciate it got it absolutely thank you very much you got it today we'll show you the moments Chum Lee made the deal without consulting Rick on Pawn Stars American banknote company plates Rick and CH visited a collection of Steel printing plates in La the plates from the American bank note company were used for printing currency and certificates Adam the seller explained the history of the plates highlighting their importance in currency production so I'm down here in LA with Chum and we're about to go take a look at this huge collection of old steel printing plates hey how's it going man all right how you doing here it is that's a lot of metal plate holy so these are all the printing plates from the American Bank no company that is correct the plates were used in printing stock certificates currency stamps pretty much anything chle joked about printing money with the plates it seemed like there was no need for an exp when Chumley was around Rick wanted to explore the entire collection but considered specific items too they inspected the plates and later witnessed a demonstration of printing using a Vintage Press can I open one of these up yeah go a and open one up I mean have these been cataloged or anything no they've been here for several months jum see like they have this currency thing on the front of them let's go print some money boys this is pretty amazing the American bank note company was found in 1795 by Robert Scott who was the original engraver for the uh United States Mint they have engraved and printed stocks bonds currencies and they're just out of business now and you just no they're they're still in business still in business today currencies are a lot different now and stocks and bonds are traded digitally so they just like sold off all their old metal plates yes they do and here you're looking at it so it's all for sale though right absolutely um I'm going to call a buddy down here to help me too if you don't mind don't mind at all I'm going to start digging through this you call Peter and then come back and help me all right I'll be right back so we're here at a Printing Museum and they're actually going to take these steel plates and put them in a press and print something can you like show me the process how to do this oh certainly can you print this one we can print that who doesn't love a good train image whoa that's incredible this is absolutely amazing I had no idea it would look like this well thanks man I really really appreciate this I never thought printing was Art it is definitely it's an art and a craft enjoy it after the demonstration Rick negotiated a deal for the collection agreeing to purchase it for $4,500 he appreciated the Artistry of printing and was excited about the acquisition all right you're asking 4500 I think that's a steal Rick um so you're still good at 4,500 bucks I think 4500 is a good number you get the opportunity of the printings and that can go wherever you want to take it it's unlimited I guess we have a deal I'll go to my truck and I'll write you check okay on Jimmy Jet toy Germaine brought in a Jimmy Jet flight simulator a vintage toy from the 1960s he found it in his grandparents garage and wanted to sell it for $400 to fund a real flight simulator hey how you doing what do you got here man I've got a Jimmy Jet flight simulator toy this is pretty cool we're play it I saved the world about 10 or 12 times flying this thing myself so I'm sure somebody else can get some joy out of it as well what I brought in today is my Jimmy Jet Deluxe flight simulator I got the flight simulator from my grandparents garage I'm looking to sell the Jimmy Jet flight flight simulator for $400 if I can make a deal I put that money to a real flight simulator and go save the debt Chumley explained that the deluxe reading company made these toys popular for their availability in supermarkets back then Chumley demonstrated the flight simulator's features like the altitude meter and throttle control both bantered over its nostalgic appeal so Deluxe reading company they were just a toy manufacturer in the 1960s they made toys for the grocery store and you could get them also in a few cataloges this company kind of push that movement in bringing toys into the grocery store okay let me check it out right there there's your controllers so see all right so that turns it on absolutely you got to hold that Up's your control right there and then you just steer it right absolutely oh yeah do that now now I'm remembering why toys were so much better when I was a kid that's right that's right less imagination and a whole lot less technology Chum Lee who knew a lot about the item didn't need an expert value ation they settle on $45 a fair price considering its condition so um how much are you looking to get for it I've looked it up brand new Mint Condition $400 sir okay I think we're agreeing that it's not in mint condition fair enough just try $150 we can try to get $150 but not here I'd like to give you 20 bucks for it uh let's try 75 35 bucks man I'll give you 45 bucks for it I can't do a penny more yeah man let's do it 45 it's a deal I'm good with that all right meet me right here at the front all right let's go starky egg chair Olivia presented an old starky egg chair that was originally used for conducting hearing tests in the80s it featured speakers inside giving it a unique Vibe Chum Le playfully compared its look to something from a dror evil movie hello what in the world is this this is my starky egg chair okay what's that it was originally used as a hearing test chair it's really cool it has speakers inside I don't know dude it looks pretty Dr eth this looks cool so they would use them basically to help sell hearing aids and do ear tests on people yes and then they came out with noise counseling headphones and way easier way more portable pretty much the chair A Relic from the' 60s gained more Fame for men in black chum tested the chair with music and improve the bit so does it work still or yes it does do you have a phone we can plug in uh yeah you need music yes and then sit in the chair I can't hear anything all right we can we've heard enough get out of the chair dude this thing is sweet the egg chair got designed in the' 60s but most people today recognize it from the movie Men in Black this particular model was designed for hearing test but it is kind of funky and it does have surround sound so I'm pretty sure someone will buy it Olivia wanted $11,000 for it but agreed to sell it for $700 after negotiations before he finalized the sale Cory and Chum Le made this deal without consulting the expert which might upset Rick later on so what are you looking to do with it I am looking to sell it what are you looking to get out of it I'm asking a thousand that might be a little much okay um would you take 500 I would take 750 700 725 no 700 all right d jum you want to write it up um or you could write it up and I can listen to music all right come with me okay Sai Young signed photo here's another situation where Chum Lee thought that he didn't need Rick's input Joe approached the shop with a signed picture of Sai Young he found the photo at an estate sale and wanted $3,000 for it can I help you yeah I have a signed picture of sa young oh I have a signed photo of sa young that I'm looking to sell today I found my sa young photo at an estate sale rumaging through some boxes of sports memorabilia the condition of the photo looks pretty good for its age I'm looking to get $3,000 for the photo Chum Lee familiar with sa Young's baseball Legacy discussed the significance of the sa Young Award named after him this is a good find Sai Young is probably one of the most recognizable names from baseball I mean the Sai Young Award was named after him it's given to the best pitcher every year this is just a picture right it's not a card yeah it looks like it's a picture it might have been cut out at the seam of a paperback book it looks like okay oh I see some creasing in it yeah it's pretty cool though I mean I don't know how much an autographed picture is collectible compared to say like a card or a baseball bat but it's good that you got authenticated because it lets me know the signature is real in general anything young is probably highly collectible and not hard to sell great that's great news D saw a second opinion from Dan who noted that the photo showed sa young later in his career with the Cleveland Indians which might affect its desirability Dan appraised the photo add a retail value of $2,500 so I have a sa young autograph right here and it's authenticated which is great but I don't know you know the value of something like this I mean it's Sai Young sure I imagine everything's collectible no absolutely no he's a legend the autograph looks really clean compared to autographs that are out there you can perfectly see the signature it is a real old photo of them so this image was probably in the newspaper cuz it seems to be matted you know on on top of this board as far as the pictures concern it's of him I'd give a retail value of $2,500 okay thanks for coming out I appreciate it got it absolutely thank you very much you got it after Dan's assessment Joe agreed to Chum Le's offer of $1,800 Chum Lee confident in its appeal to collectors finalized the deal without consulting Rick not quite what you were asking for not quite what I'm looking for but pretty close would you take 1,500 for it that's cash money right now 2,000 how about 1,600 1,800 um I could do 18 let's go WR it up this is where we'll end our video we hope you enjoyed watching make sure to comment hit that like And
