you guys are making so many cool things in your kitchen. - Yeah. - [Jessica] This way you
can sell them at your shop. - [Christopher] And you
get to color this all in. - What? - [Christopher] Yeah, you can
use crayons and color it in. - What?
- What? - [Jacob] Whoa! - Over there. - [Jessica] What is that? - Yeah. - I'm nursing baby Teddy right now, because he just woke up too. So, it was definitely
time for him to nurse. Oh, look at these little sneaky snakes. You guys, wait. - [Christopher] Back up, guys.
- Back up, back it up, and I wanted to say a
couple things just in case this is your first Christmas with us. Well, one thing new that
we're doing is Christopher and I are wrapping our gifts
with baby receiving blankets. So I saw this really cool
video on a Japanese method of gift wrapping, and I was
very inspired to try it, because it's a little
bit more sustainable, and we have a large family. So it's always important
for us to look for ways to be more sustainable. Mine isn't as fancy as the
videos that I've watched of people doing it for a long
time, because I'm new at this, but I love that I was able
to use the massive collection of muslin receiving blankets
that I have purchased a lot of over the years, because I
really, really love those, and I think it's so cool
that just as we are probably, maybe, on our last baby,
and I was like, "Oh man, "I've got all these blankets. "What am I gonna do with them?" That right away, it was answered, and I have this really
cool new wrapping method that we can do. So you'll notice there are a
lot of presents under our tree. The ones that are from Christopher and I are actually wrapped in fabric, and there aren't as many of those. The ones that the kids got
for each other are wrapped for the most part, I think, maybe one or two got wrapped in fabric. So you'll notice there are
always a ton of presents under our tree, but for the most part, it's a lot of the kids
giving to each other, which I think is wonderful
and actually to us, which is wild. They don't need to do that, but I think that that's
really important to note, because it looks like so much, and I grew up in a family
where we had a lot less under our Christmas tree, and that is perfectly
normal and typical too. We just have a lot of kids
that give a lot of presents to each other. So there's definitely always
a lot underneath our tree, and we also have some
traditions that pop in, and we don't even think to explain. So one thing that we've done every year is we put a little photos
on all of the presents, and it's so that the people in our family who aren't reading yet are
still able to experience giving. So they can look at a picture and go, "Oh, this is for my dad." And they'll feel excited, and we have the kids each
take turns giving gifts out to other people. So that is how we do things
here, and I love that tradition. It's also really neat,
because we collect the photos over the years and reuse them. So we'll get to have little baby photos and memories pop up each
year as a special surprise. - [Christopher] He found
a vintage one right there. - [Jessica] Look at that one. - [Bailey] That's me. - This is from me, so. - All right, I think
we're good to get started. What do you think? - [Kids] Yeah! - Can I be the first present elf, please? (festive piano music) - Whoa, what a do? I like both. - [Christopher] Oh, Christmas
wraps have been administered. - Yep. - Yep. - [Christopher] Yep. - (laughs) Very cool, and it's little miss Ru's morning time. So she just woke up and went potty, and now she's hanging out in her pen. There she is, Angel. So Ru, I know, is very
large, and this is something that still baffles me as a new dog owner, but she is actually still a puppy. She has entered her adolescence phase, but she's still considered a
puppy for another year or so, because she's larger, and
she'll still be a puppy until she's around two to three-years-old, and she's not even one yet. So Ru, our giant dog, is a puppy, and this is her very first Christmas. So the training program that we're using with Ru highly recommends
that the puppy stay in a pen or tethered to an adult
while they are still learning all throughout that puppy phase, and what this does is it is making sure that your puppy doesn't
develop bad behaviors that become a routine or
a normal thing for them, and it shows them, look, this
is how we live in our home, this is how you're gonna live in our home, and this is what you're
allowed to do within that home, and it also keeps her safe, and that's like the most
important thing obviously, but she spends a lot of time
in her pen being treated for her good behavior. So when she's doing good,
like right now, she's amazing. Can you see her? Jacob's just sitting by her
and give her little treats and encouraging her and we'll
say good girl, good girl, and the goal is to say good
things at least 10 times to anything that might be negative. So the goal is to be doing
way more on the positive and just really encouraging good behaviors and not having her develop habits, and this is her very first Christmas. So we don't really know
what things she may or may not respond to, but we really want to have Christmases with her cuddled up with us by the fire for the rest of her life. So we're trying really hard
for this first Christmas to be a learning experience for her and for her to see what we're doing, get treated for her good behaviors, and not develop any bad
behaviors, like, I dunno, ripping open a present or
chasing after a Santa's toys or bells or whatever. We want her to learn that
those aren't her toys. So next year, when she's
closer to being an adult and she's done this once before, there won't be any concern
for her having a bad habit or doing something that
could be dangerous to her. So we're working really hard to train her. I know it's a little
different than in some homes. Part of that reason is
because the training that we're doing is geared
towards potential service, and I don't know that that
will necessarily happen or even if how much we'll need it. We're just seeing as we
go what that will lead to. It's a long process. We're trying our best to equip
her with everything we can to enable her to do that eventually, if that is a need or a possibility, but she's a really good dog. She's doing such a good
job, and what a sweetie. I'm so excited that she's up and ready to join us for Christmas, because we've got a lot
of presents for her. - What is it? - [Jessica] Oh boy, do
you know what that is? - Know what it is? - No. - Do you know what it is?

and that's what she got. - [Jessica] Wow, Bailey. - We just cleaned up like

and open up your first set. - S, wait, I have S, K, E, T, blank paper. Tesk, tesk? - I believe it's the desk. Just see. Oh, wait, nevermind.
(parents laugh) - [Christopher] You've got some more. - I, C, T.
- I've got I, C, T, O? Are we aloud to open Jacob's now? - [Jessica] Not yet. Gotta solve the first
one to open the next one. - Stick. - [Jacob] No, wait, wait, ticket? - [Bailey] Tickets to? - [Jacob] To, tickets to? - Tickets to? - [Jessica] Okay. - Wait, is it London? - [Jessica] (laughs) No,

- see maybe? Maybe it's in order. See space. - [Parker] Tickets to see an. - [Jacob] Loss ange. - [Christopher] Uh-uh,
you have not solved it. Los angle is not a thing. - [Bailey] Angeles. - [Jessica] Okay, tickets to Los Angeles. Wait, why don't you
clear all the papers now. Move them all out of the way. - Oh, wait, I don't know what this is. Oh, wait, no, I know what this is. - "Hamilton"?
(Jessica laughs) - [Jacob] Wait, wait. - Wait, the real cast? - [Jessica] The current touring cast. So tickets to see Hamilton in Los Angeles. - Oh my Gosh! (Jessica laughs) - Oh wait, I just remembered. We're all fully vaccinated. - [Jessica] You're all fully vaccinated. - [Duncan] But not me. - [Jessica] You're all fully vaccinated. This will be the first big
venture we take together. I'll be taking you and
Dad is gonna stay home with the younger ones, because they're too young to
be able to go to the show. You're gonna hang out
at Aunty Patty's house. - [Bailey] Oh wow. - [Christopher] Oh, Aunty Patty's house? - Oh my gosh! - So when you go see
fancy shows like this, they often have rules about
how old you can be to go, and for this touring production, you had to be at least five-years-old, and Duncan isn't five yet, and
he's also not vaccinated yet, and we were trying to
keep it to the members in our household that are vaccinated. So this is going to be our first big trip into a group environment. I know that they're
doing everything they can to make the Broadway shows and
the touring shows very safe, but it definitely is our first
big venture in two years. So this is a huge deal, and we're all obsessed with "Hamilton". So I'm so excited. What do you guys think? - I'm so excited! - I'm keeping the L as a souvenir. - I feel like it's gonna be so much better when we actually see it on stage. - [Jessica] It's gonna be wild, and we have pretty good seats too. - Where? - [Jessica] Just like the side-center. It's just pretty good. It's good as I could get. - [Parker] It's a yellow envelope. - Train ride to Grandmas house with Daddy. - [Christopher] That's right. We have two tickets to take
the train from our house to Grandma's house, and
Grandma'll pick us up, and we'll watch a movie
at Grandma's house. - What the heck! (Jessica laughs) - That sounds really fun, buddy. - [Christopher] You and
I will get on a train, and the train will go on its
train tracks, along the coast, past the beaches and the ocean all the way to where Grandma lives, and Grandma will pick us
up from the train station, and we will have a movie
day at Grandma's house, and then we'll get back on
the train and go the other way back to our house. Your first big kid train ride. - [Jessica] You said that
that was the thing you wanted to do more than anything else
was go to Grandma's house. Isn't that cool? - That's the water. - [Christopher] Yep. - When do you go? - Probably next month. - [Jessica] Duncan, are you excited? - Yes, why wouldn't I? (Jessica laughs) - [Christopher] You enjoying
that latte? (laughs) - So Ru clearly loves her
new Starbucks squeaker toy. So I apologize for all
the extra squeaking. It's just the sound of our life, guys. - Guess what? - [Christopher] What? - When I get to Grandma's
house, I'm gonna show her this. - [Christopher] That's a really good idea. - Oh boy, so nicely painted as well. - [Duncan] But I painted
that, I painted that. - Thank you. - [Duncan] You're welcome. - (yells excitedly)
Another blanket, thank you. Rachel got me one too. This one is all white, and
it's gonna go so nicely in our bedroom. - [Duncan] Mom, cardboard. - I'm so excited. I'm gonna be so warm this winter, - [Parker] Did you hear me? - Toasty warm.
- A rogue cardboard. - Oh, this is beautiful,
Christopher, thank you. - [Christopher] I haven't
even felt the one Rachel got. - It's wool. So it's gonna be little scratchy. I know that's hard for you.
- It's okay. - But I like it.
- But it's heavy and like-- - It's heavy and it's gonna be so warm. - [Christopher] It's like a big hug. - It's so nice, and the other one I put on our bed last night, and I love it. Happy days, fancy blankets for Jessica. - Thank you. - Who's this from? - This is from Duncan. - Huh? - It's from you, right?
- Yeah. It's a little broken,
because you get to hit it. (Jessica laughs) - What is it? - You have to crack it on the ground. - So I have to crack it? - Whoa.

- Duncan, thank you so much. - Your welcome. - That's so nice. This one I got for Daddy. - [Christopher] Oh, thank you. - [Parker] And this one

either of these things are. - Oh, I know what this is. This is for cleaning out my airbrush. - Cool.
- Cool. - Thank you. - Your welcome, Dad. - [Jacob] It's from me. - From my Jakey-bear. (kisses) I love you. Genmaicha, yes, and I'm
learning to say genmaicha instead of jenmaicha, because
I always said jenmaicha, but so many people corrected me from Japan saying it's actually genmaicha. Thank you for helping me learn, and oh my goodness, this is my favorite. I love this tea. Jacob, thank you so much. - Here? - Yeah, give it to him. - [Christopher] Oh boy,
another one for me. - [Jessica] Whoa. - Is this from you, Bailey?
- Yes. - Ooh, it's a label maker. - [Jessica] Yes. - Oh, you're gonna love this, Jake. It basically you type in something, and it prints out a sticker label, and you can label your
tools or storage bins when we put all our
Christmas decorations away. - [Jessica] I believe
Bailey wanted to use it with you as well. - Oh yeah.
- She was pretty excited about it.
- Oh, you want to get in on the label making action? - I love label making. - [Christopher] Let's make some labels. - Can I do this one? - Yeah. - Ooh.
- Ooh, thank you, Luke. Who is this from? - [Christopher] That one's from Daddy. - Daddy. - Oh, and Parker helped
me pick it out actually. - And Parker?
- I did? - [Christopher] Yeah. - Thank you for choosing,

did help you pick out this, in the line at In-and-outs. - Oh boy, the line at In-and-out, okay. - [Christopher] It's like
the one moment I wasn't next to you. - Oh, they're so pretty. It looks like there's a
little sparkle to them. I wonder if that's, maybe
that's from the bow, because they should be
suede, and they're so pretty. Oh, they're so nice. Look at those shoes. I was actually in my
heart of hearts hoping for something like this, because I was thinking this
season it would be so cool to have like a Christmas
shoe, like red shoes that kind of match everything. So I love this. - [Jacob] They're
perfect "Hamilton" shoes. - They're great for
going to "Hamilton" too. - [Christopher] Good "Hamilton" shoes. - Look, see, they match
my Christmas attire. - [Christopher] Does the shoe fit? - They actually feel great. They fit perfectly. These are individually handmade. So the fit can be a little
different depending on the shoe. Sometimes they fall off my feet. I can tell they have a
really nice hold on my feet, but they're also not too tight,
like they feel really good. - [Christopher] I'm so happy,

picking out this present for me, Luke. Oh, you want to wear them? (Luke mumbles)

Dad, this one for Dad. - Oh yes, you've been
waiting to give me this one. Is this from you? - Yes. - [Jessica] Yeah, Jacob
experimented with the wrapping with me too. - Oh, I got a shirt, and it says, "I keep all my dad jokes in a dad-a-base." Good one. you were very insistent on getting this for me. Is that true? - [Christopher] He said it had to be red. - Red eyeshadow, wow. That will be a change
for me, but I'm excited. Oh wow, will you do my

Let's have a review. How was it? - It tasted like lemon goodness. - It was kind of lemony
and kind of almondy and just really good, and I'm currently trying the mini crepes, and they're very delicious. They're like really good. We should get them more. (Luke mumbles) Here, you can have one. They're flaky, and then the

and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty together again. - [Jessica] Isn't that cool? - Now how about hickery dickery dock. The clock struck one, the mouse ran down, hickery dickery dock. Let's try little Miss Muffet. Along came a spider
who sat down beside her and frightened Miss Muffet away. - Okay. - Next, let's do Jack and Jill. - It keeps going.
- Jack and Jill went up the hill and Jill came tumbling after. - [Jessica] What do you think, Lukey? - [Parker] He's really good, okay-- - And now, let's do this little piggy. (kids laugh) This little piggy goes wee,

So it threw me off. - [Christopher] No,
