At 10:22 she is asked about the 5th step to emerge from our moral stupidity. As someone just barely above philosophy literacy I take it that there are 4 established ones. Can someone tell me more about that?

Her work in applied ethics is incredibly interesting as well. Just took a course with her on Animals and Ethics, which was undoubtedly the best course of my freshman fall. Her Kantian perspective on animal liberation is difficult to grasp at first but perhaps even more convincing than Peter Singer's arguments. Also, she has really cute cats.

ABSTRACT:

Christine M. Korsgaard is one of the most influential moral philosophers of our time. She combines highly original philosophical arguments with insightful work on the history of ethics. Her work concerns the foundations of moral obligation, practical reason, agency, and Kant's and Kantian ethics. Her contributions have been groundbreaking in all these areas.
