Chopping Earlage And A Few Troubles With The Harvester

we are harvesting here ledge sanders is driving the semi uralic is harvested with a combine head we have a six row combine head and so we can do six rows at a time and pretty much it just strips off the ear and the shank and grinds it up and we blow it in the truck so this is our grain this is how we feed high moisture corn instead of doing high moisture corn and grinding it through a grinder we harvest it with our chopper we got the kernel processor in that's not great some guys the runner they call the recutter screen and that will do the same thing we run a roller mill yeah and then i take the trucks to the farm all right i guess i'm going to take over and do a little chapman sanders is getting the other truck and uh yeah let's get this off kevin's gonna take that semi home it's kind of nice to have the ears just a little bit green because then it seems to grind a little bit better i gotta get sanders's attention a minute so so hey everybody we are back at the field today we're going to be um finishing up hopefully finishing up the eeriledge uh we only have this one field that we planted and that's enough to feed our cows hopefully for a long time this is the stuff that we planted um 30 inch rows and we had to plant 30 inch rolls for this so that the combine corn head could um work properly it can't do 15 inch roast ethan and sydney are going to be driving semi i'm going to run chopper oh you're maintaining it for me right now i was gonna wear a hat and i forgot here's my sweatshirt ethan has like a hunter green one sanders has a bright red one and i have a bright pink one i forget the name of it though it's not called bright pink um my store the other day it wasn't up and running i talked to the company and it should be any moment though so keep looking okay the color on think so nope parking brake is up is a bit difficult it's gonna be a good day it's gonna be a great day great day to finish this up the sorghum is drying it's going to be like 80 degrees it was freezing cold this morning though all right not freezing but it was cool i gotta get this going so i have to put you down all right we had a chain break you guys are gonna help me figure out what chain it is and see if we got parts for it we've got this much to do yet so we're probably yeah not even halfway for the day this is good corn all right let's go see what the kids are doing i'm calling them kids i don't know that either so i said mother nut needs to not be running the whole stock right okay so a chain broke and hopefully we have a link for that if not we have to stop to the stove i'm gonna walk all the way to the front of the field grab the tandem because i already filled that since i brought the tandem i filled it and then ethan brought the semi sydney brought his semi so we had three vehicles anyways i'm gonna grab the tandem while the boys head home i told them i needed my exercise which i really do i do it's not that far from way down there to way up there you can't even see it there it is do you want to look at more corn because that's about all i get to see well that was a nice walk gotta look through our stash well back in the chopper and i guess it's fixed let's check it out it's already 3 30. i don't know if we'll be done by summer time i have supper all figured out um we're having spaghetti and breadsticks and then if i get home in time i'm making apple crisp sanders already has the apples ready and i already have the topping ready but i didn't have um enough time to bake it so i don't have it together i just have the apples in the refrigerator and the topping and they're not together yet they're not in the pan they're just separate so if i get home in time we will have apple crisp for supper for dessert maybe some ice cream with that that'll be good that'd be real good belts broke i plugged it and now i have an excruciating headache because of trying to unplug it you're practically standing on your head and yeah um you guys are working at putting on new belts so i'll show you what they're doing okay you're gonna start it up but just bump it on and off hey i'm filthy my hands are disgusting my arms are itchy all right so kevin is going to uh run the chopper for a little bit so he can just get a feel of it i'm gonna drive the volvo yeah and he's already ready wanted to give you guys a quick look at the corn um you're gonna see some of this because this is um hard for the chopper to actually chop up it's paper thin and it's dry so but this is what it looks like this is the cob and the ear all ground up in one i made it home actually kevin took over the last two loads so he he filled up um the volvo which i was driving and then ethan was gonna get the last of it on hopefully he's not home yet but i'm home i washed up my headache is gone i think um i probably just needed some water usually i don't get headaches and the only time that i do is if i'm dehydrated and i need water so there's a tip if you ever have a headache try drinking lots of water see if that helps that is all of the um ear lids that we're doing this year so we got that done it took about two days yeah two days so that wasn't bad i have time to make the apple crisp so that's what i'm gonna do sanders has so kindly um well what did he do he peeled these in um the apple corer peeler thingamabob and i just need to cut them up that's all oh hey i'm chewing their gum you're chewing the gum from gym it was an early birthday present um if you didn't see it in the last video what was that last video called something about sorghum chopping the last of the sorghum i know it's green this is not green it is green i i can does that look green or black vouch that it is green she's home from school green see and it smells like your perfume anyways oh because these birthdays next thursday friday i thought it was on a friday can you go look at the calendar real quick mom i know when my birthday's on my birthday the 25th
