Choeng Mon Beach and Hotel walk. Christmas day7&8. and dinner at Cafe 69. Koh Samui, Thailand.

welcome everyone to Planet Papas today we're doing a beach walk here on Shang Mong Beach we're going to be walking down it's near closer to Christmas time so it should be very nice and very relaxing and a little busier so we're going to be walking down today doing that and taking it easy I'm going to try to go through every place to show you what's going on now if you've never been to shangan before you remember a shuang beach person this is a great Beach to come even just for a day visit doing something different seeing another Beach I highly recommend this beach and Crystal Bay Beach which is Silver Beach both of them beautiful places we're here on Shang Mong so let's [Music] go big shout out to one of my subscribers CLA s thank you very much for the super like last night it did rain quite a bit so it's going to see a lot of debris on the ocean front which is a shame I thought we were going to get it cleaned but today there's a little more hopefully within the next couple days it should be all gone a lot of people here on this area they do clean it up so it'll be all cleared hopefully by tomorrow and we started our adventure at K Samui we're going to go through here and then back on the beach [Music] some of these hotels are just beautiful amazing places to stay Shang Mong is a great area as well so you're looking for more of a family orientated you don't want to stay in shuang Beach this place is [Music] perfect [Music] and the signature drink of today is the shake called Macho Macho mango I like it now we're going to go to the Fish [Music] House [Music] and now we're outside Salah Salah is a beautiful place here we're going to go through it as well you can have your own private Cabana by the pool front there's the pool of [Music] Salah did stay a few times in Salah when we first got here here last year but I didn't film it so we do have to come back and do a hotel hunt here the rooms are quite spacious very beautifully done and this is the other pool the General [Music] Pool [Music] C check out their view from the restaurant area here at Salah we pass Salah we're into the pure breach Club High massage for 300 which is great they do have a fish restaurant called blenda it's getting busier here good to see lots of [Music] tourists so you wanted to know Luda is the number one fish restaurant for 2023 for travelers CHS maybe we have to check that out if it's getting an award we did walk by the restaurant of the PS but now we're at the resort the PS Resort and there is nobody here you could have the pool all to yourself on December 20th you don't have to be a guest here you can have lunch here no problem if you are staying here this is where you have your breakfast as we're getting closer to the middle of Shang Mong lots of debris many stories to tell here now we're coming up to the Bay Beach Restaurant you get your sun beds so far they're free but now it says will be charging 200 bot the sun beds and using their facilities so it's 200 bot per person you want to be at the Bay Beach for peak season never been here before this an easy access road that comes up in the middle exactly where Shang Mong is so after Salah maybe a two more minute drive on your left side you see a huge gate opening and at this point you can actually park your car your bike very close to the beach and then come across into the beach for free now we're getting into the busier area which is not really crazy busy and we like to stay for the day is the carnival right in the middle of everything they do have their own parking and also it's free beds for now just have yourself a drink they do have their own pool it's a very peaceful place here so better to come here during the week on weekends some kids take over so there's a lot of people in the pool but it's peak season now so any day could be quiet or busy at the carnival also at the carnival they do have an indoor area fully air conditioned so if it's raining or you just don't want to be in the heat anymore you come in and read your favorite book and my favorite book should be still on the Shelf here it is we're coming to the area and this is it the journey by Tony Blair so we're still at carnival but we're on the other side where they have another coffee shop and their coffee is actually very good so if you are a coffee drinker you get a good coffee at the carnival and we are at the other Mong Samui Villas this one has exactly the same setup as the one in Shang Beach but I think it's more spacious I show you the facilities [Music] [Music] here we're going to walk through the cave as well [Music] [Music] oh I got to jump off the cliff like ested in the 1980s movie I definitely recommend that hotel beautiful place if you are looking for a great Beach eat here's a good one where they have fresh chicken they make chicken on a Sak spring rolls anything you need sod they C fresh corn the food is very safe here to eat on the beach they make it fresh for you very nice now we're in front of wait I got to get the debris off my feet now we're in front of Mila love this place as well highly recommended one of the top places here on shuang Mong last month we were here I think there was three people in the pool and now it's full so somewh he's getting there and right above there you see the umbrellas on top there's the VIP area I was supposed to go in it today but I'm not wearing shoes I always forget the shoes so hopefully next time I did do a review here as well this place is quite amazing it's actually very big so you do have to walk up and down a little bit not much just to get to the beach [Music] area and of course they have their indoor restaurant fully air [Music] ient but if you're a beach lover sit by the [Music] [Music] water this point there's a little bit of beach here we can get across no problem as we in front of the Island View Restaurant they do have some sun beds lots of places to get your massage in thank you C how are you good good yes now we're in front of Honey's restaurant had to stop because there's quite a bit of debris in this area not much Beach hello yes hello I'm Daisy and William and we're here in the lovely area and we want to wish our family and friends in the Netherlands a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and also in Indonesia bye bye very nice couple from the Netherlands I hope they say have a nice stay here and a merry Christmas in Bangkok and now we're out in front of the pool area from them nice day nice and quiet here actually I'm there to Young massage and now we're in front of kirati Samui restaurant thei there's no beach front but there's a big restaurant there never ate here yet looks all right very cool old school old school Thai and Fijian and a great way to remember this place is saying oh Daniel son from the karate miyago karate see now it's stuck in your head forever and we're actually at the last part of the beach it is called pie a lot of locals come here now got busier which is great wasn't busy at all at the beginning but it finally started to pick up as we go through Pi they have a wine region there nice and chilled by alcohol this is their Christmas shop and milkshake shop called Lenny we're going to go through P the restaurant it's a new venue actually opened up a few last year yeah it was last year so they are getting busier which is great got the nice Christmas trees now we're going to the end of the beach so they are doing construction here they're making a new place it's called Hugh h u e long Tower and this is the very end of Shang Mong beach around the corner there is steps here because the boats come on and off from here to that private island which is another Resort and we're finally going to find out what that is coming up soon by the way I did not forget the sixth day of Christmas Miss I'm going to put it in today's so you're going to see six and seven so I did miss the seventh day but we're going to do that right now so on the seventh day of Christmas I did find the seven swans but there's so much traffic it would take me 45 minutes to get there so I'm going to go with option number two and that is 7-Eleven there is no better way to spend your seventh day on the 12th Days of Christmas at 7eleven and it is different from North nor America so North America you're going to find your chili dogs your super big gulps things like that here in 7-Eleven it is quite different you're going to get the instant noodles The Whiskey in the background and some dumplings to buy and their number one seller is what we're going to get right now just to take a video around and show you what they have different type of 7-Eleven I'm going to pick up the most popular item here and it's so popular it's not even here finally came to the number one thing thing important to 7-Eleven is of course the toasted ham and cheese sandwich this one is all popular on Thailand the kids love it the adults love it after a late night early morning whatever you think of a cheap cheerful little snack a little toasty now usual it's ham and cheese but they were sold out so I'm going to try the uh cheese and sausage now it is a holiday so I'm going to share my Sandage with the doggy dogs cats humans they love it it's too hot right now so he's waiting it to cool down and at number eight we were going to be in the same place very hard to find eight maids of milking it's impossible where we going to find that in some so we're going to do it in 7-Eleven that is 8 different types of milks whatever you like they have them all from chocolate kiwi banana strawberry latte beautiful eight milks of eight mates of milk so tonight's dinner we are in Fisherman's Village and across the street from Fisherman's is a Holiday Inn then right across the street is a cafe I've been trying to come for many many years it's called Cafe 69 and this is an Asian Fusion Restaurant we're going to be trying it t cafe 69 is an amazing find I did drive by this many times and I'm glad I finally stopped here I met with the owner viian he was kind of camera shy so he didn't say much but he's a great person and very humble I recommend this place [Music] 100% this is the soft shell crab papaya salad rolls this is the soft shell crab with black pepper sauce this is the stewed beef cheek with herbal basil and rice yes this is the whole white Snapper steamed with chili and lime and that was our beach and hotel walk in Shang Mong today and the great wonderful meal at Cafe 69 so thank you for joining me here today on planet Papas we'll see you
