what's going on Capital extra breakfast good morning you're here with myself Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie and right now we are joined in the studio by a lady's got attention of us and Beyonce as well singer songwriter Fashion Icon and her and this is The Little Mermaid are both Grammy nominated here with us for the first time it's Chloe Bailey everybody [Applause] and how are you doing what's going on doing amazing I'm here in London I have my show today I'm so excited we're about to have a lot of fun it's gonna be good you've been to London before right I have you lived here for a little while I lived here for like two months when I was visiting my sister because she was filming a Little Mermaid out here so I feel like I know a little bit of it but I'm really digging Soho Soho yeah so it's a good vibe I like it how does London compare to where you're from Georgia oh well you know Atlanta Georgia it's very slow paced like the architecture is starting to become new ER and you know here I love the architecture because it's like it has character and it's older and more vintage so that's what I like because you have everyone who has Progressive style and everything walking in the streets of like these old buildings I think it's so cool no I agree definitely you're here for your first tour right yeah in the UK Yes album in pieces for people that are coming across you this morning what was this album about for you this album really meant a lot to me because it stamps a time where I was really broken down and trying to pick the pieces back up and that's why I called it in pieces so I will always be proud of this body of work because I know it was a time where I didn't think I was strong enough but I made it through do you have any like memories of making the album which no one saw but it will forever be like huge in your mind yes I remember the beginning process of the album when I would just be in my bedroom making the beats and recording on my desk in my bedroom and just being in there till like 4 a.m in the morning and just really pouring my heart out you know it was literally just me and the music when did you start writing this album I started writing it around three years ago the oldest song on there is hard on my sleeve that was one of the first demos that I created for the project so it's fun to see how it has progressed throughout the years and show tonight very exciting so exciting first ever tour in London in the UK how do you prepare for a show especially somewhere that's like brand new for you well I have an incredible team and incredible dancers and we put on a pretty good show I'd like to think and it's just a lot of rehearsal a lot of hours the Synergy is amazing I couldn't do the show if one person was missing from the puzzle piece and I'm just happy that we're starting to bring it over here and now we've obviously got the show what's your sort of earliest memory of Performing do you remember your first ever performance but yes I definitely remember my first ever performance it was with my sister I was seven years old she was five and we sang summertime at our summer camp in Spelman in Atlanta and we won we did I don't think we expected us to win because you know we were quite young but we won and that was the start of it all oh amazing earlier on in the year we actually caught up with your sister yeah when she was on The Little Mermaid co-op with her and Jonah as well he actually spoke about they were so lovely I love Jonah he was so lovely Hallie was so lovely and he was saying some you know amazing things about them working together about them spending their time together um and we know you and just throw up tights you guys are like this um as you both Elevate you both grow you both get your successes in each other in your own rights does that make you guys go closer even when you're working like in different cities in different countries yes it definitely makes us grow closer like think of it like a long distance relationship like if you're with somebody every day you kind of get used to them but it's like when you see them every blue moon it's like the excitement oh my God you know so she's actually coming out here to see me perform so I'm really happy yeah but because it's my last one of the second leg so it means everything to have her support and her love back in London yes back back in London sister's taking over the world we did see online her little shopping trip recently with ddg you as like the big sister yeah did you have to give ddg to talk like did you give him the what was that what did you see I have given all my sister's boyfriends I mean I'm a big sis she's my little baby I'm always protective but he makes her happy and she's happy so that's all that matters to me what about you what is love saying for you right now you know right now I'm just feeling it out and I'm using life experiences as research purposes for my music you know and when I find the one the one I know you speak about performing when you were seven years old right and then seeing to where you've got to now you're across the whole globe everyone's talking about you are you someone that sort of envisioned this for yourself or is it still like shocking when you push through the doors that you push through it's a little bit of both when I was younger I was like I know I'm going to be on stage I know I'm going to perform I'd close my eyes and I danced like I was on my own stage in an arena like that was always my dream and I'd be like okay I don't know how I'm gonna get there but I'm gonna get there and as I'm making my way to the biggest dreams and aspirations and goals that I have it is a little shocking it's like imposter syndrome I'm like am I really doing this am I really here and even as I had the week off from this tour leg I was watching the Clips online I was like well that's me on stage like wow it's crazy I don't it's like a whole other life almost yeah but it's you you're living it you dreamed it you worked for it yeah and now it's it's here it's amazing uh first we want to play a little game of catch the lyric it's a fave on this show all you gotta do is sing a song catching a lyric from the song the person before you is singing so like I do this all the time in real life like anybody will say a word and I'll bust out in song however the
