hi this is danielle the domestic scientist and i love a modern blue and white shinrazary home decor style now i love it because it's super versatile i often like to use it in very feminine ways with a lot of floral patterns but you can use it in masculine ways by playing up more geometric patterns and pairing it with dark woods and with leather accent i also love to see classic blue and white shinrazary items used with nautical and coastal looks now this is more common in the new york area when you see that hamptons and nantucket style so in today's video i'm going to show you my latest affordable changery pieces and i'm also going to show you two of the websites that i like to peruse when i'm fantasy shopping the first website i'm going to show you is called ballard designs they're a really great company that have some nice unique shinrazary pieces and then i'm going to show you another website called hampton style and they are really great at putting that intersection between coastal and nautical home decor and blending it with a modern shin rosary so let's get started [Music] [Music] so i'm so excited to be showing you guys my latest blue and white ceramic jars that i'm adding to my collection so if you follow my channel you'll know that i absolutely love shin rosary pieces and i'm always looking for my next and most unique find so i was super excited to find these two at my local home goods now when i'm looking for my shin risery pieces one of the most important things to me is the pattern there are different types of shinra's re that you can see you can go and find the more traditional pieces that kind of have a tall like vibe because they're telling a story so you'll see different characters and you might see landscape scenery and things like that so that's like a more traditional authentic piece that you can find at your local antique stores for me i lean more towards the contemporary look so i happen to like the floral prints and the geometric prints and those are the ones i'm attracted to the most so i was excited to find these two pieces number one because they're primarily white so they're perfect for spring and summer and they really are going to add a bright vibrant punch to your space the other thing that i liked about them is that they do have two different shades of blue so i have a really light baby blue uh shade in here and then i have a standard cobalt blue which is a really vibrant shade of blue that i think is absolutely gorgeous and really helps to make these two jars very spectacular in my opinion and of course i just love this floral detail [Music] so the large piece is my absolute favorite so far and i'm so excited to be adding this one to my collection the first thing is that i love the size of it it is a really substantial piece and i got it for a great price and i think the pattern is just so gorgeous and i think it's going to be perfect for spring i'm definitely going to use this as a vase and i'm going to do a couple tablescapes with it i think and then i'm going to continue to incorporate it into the rest of my home decor styling now i would say that one of the things that i like about both of these pieces that i found is that they look so great as a pair and as a part of a more contemporary um collection now both of these pieces are made by a company called galt international and they do supply to home goods and so i like the fact that even though they are different pieces they have the same coloration they both have the same striping details and even though the patterns are different they really pair so well together and the shapes are complementary although they're not identical so i think this adds to my collection and i think it's a wonderful contemporary piece i am so excited about it and can't wait to show you guys how i use it in the future so i want to take you guys to a website called ballard designs and it's a really cool store they have some really unique pieces and i think that you might like some of the shin rosary um style jars and vases that they have so when you go over to the home accent and then to the vase category you'll see that they have a nice little shin rosary collection and i think that some of the pieces are really unique and i'm impressed by them so the first piece that i really like is this bandit ginger jar i think this one is so beautiful because it has those squared off edges and so it has more of a modern look but i love the geometric print on this one and i also like the fact that it has two different types of prints so here in the middle you can see that the print in the middle is different than the print at the top and the bottom and this particular one has a little bit of a handle on the end as well and of course it has a little bit more banding detail at the bottom so i like the jars that have multiple pattern types on them because i think those are also more unique now they do have a large temple jar and this one has different patterns as well i like the fact that this one has different shades of blue and i like the banding it looks kind of like a spanish tile or like a moroccan pattern around the top and then the bottom also has two different layers of pattern and i think this one is really unique and i would certainly buy this if it was within my budget i also like the fact that this one is mostly white and the third piece that they have on their website that i'm really impressed with is this one this one is a square lidded jar and it also has like a banded detailing on it it's mostly white and then it has some more detailing at the bottom and so i think this one is really cool because it is floral and feminine but it still kind of has a modern edge to it and i think this piece would be great on like a bookshelf so now i want to take you guys over to a website called hampton style and i really love this website this is the one that really does that intersection between shin rosary and coastal decor to get that perfect nantucket style look so under their cushions and decor section they have a blue and white ceramic um collection and i think they have some really unique pieces here as well i don't want this video to be too long so i'm just going to point out some of my favorite pieces on this website now i happen to like some of the smaller jars and some of the ones that are great for table top experiences so i think some of the silhouettes here are quite striking so let's first look at this little um blue ning jar this is really pretty now i should say that this website is not us-based so um that's something to pay attention to if you're interested in shopping here so i like this small jar because i think it looks really great on top of some books i think this is perfect for like a coffee table or for like a bookshelf piece so i'm definitely looking for a piece like this when i go to my local home goods i have yet to find one but when i do i'm going to be sure to snatch it up now when it comes to geometric patterns i think this particular canister is so gorgeous because it has just a lot of detailing to it and i think that it is a piece that you could really put in a tear tray display or you can put in your kitchen or even on a console table like it's styled here and this one is so pretty and i do like the metallic detailing of it i think this particular piece would be great for feminine looks or masculine looks um in particular if you're going to put it in like in a home office so i'm really in love with this canister okay so now i want to show you guys this vase it is so gorgeous i think this one is just amazing because i love the geometric print on the vase but i also like the metallic detailing at the top and the bottom and a piece like this i think is so unique and it's not something that you typically would see and so i would definitely get one like this um i think it's just so gorgeous so oftentimes you'll see like a really dark blue um ceramic piece that is like really popular and it has a super sophisticated edge to it and this particular trellis jar is just like that for me i think this is so hampton style this one is absolutely gorgeous i love that the most of the jar is a really deep rich blue and then it still has like a more traditional floral pattern to it but it looks really great on a console table like this one and so i think this piece is really special now i have seen pieces like this around on different um websites but they're all pretty expensive so i'm hoping to find a piece like this at
