Hi amigos! It’s Leyla and today we’ll make Chinese style spaghetti with chicken. This recipe can also be made with shrimp, pork or beef. It’s easy to make and it has a lot of veggies. Perfect to enjoy with your family or to sell from home and earn extra money. Let’s do this! Cut 1/2 kilo of chicken into small cubes for quick cooking. Use any chicken part you want, I’m using breast. Add 4 tablespoons of soy sauce. You can add a bit of salt but be careful because soy sauce is already salty. Add a tablespoon of cornstarch, ground pepper to taste, 1/3 teaspoon pf ground ginger (optional), and mix it. Marinate for 20 minutes in the fridge. In a pot, pour 2 litres of water (8 cups) and heat it.
(1 litre of water for every 100 grams of pasta) Add 1 garlic clove, an onion slice, 1 bay leaf, And a bit of salt. Once the water starts to boil, cook the spaghetti according to the time indicated on the package. Remove from stove and immediately drain in a strainer to avoid overcooking. Remove, garlic, onion and bay leaf. add a tablespoon of sesame oil to enhance the flavour, and to prevent spaghetti from sticking together. (Sesame oil can be used in other pasta recipes) In a hot pan put 4 tablespoons of cooking oil, add 2 garlic cloves and stir fry over medium heat, so they don’t burn, and stir fry until golden to give the oil a nice flavour and aroma. The other method is to add minced garlic last minute when frying the chicken. High heat could burn the garlic and it will get get bitter, so it's important to only do it last minute. Remove garlic cloves, Turn to high heat, add the chicken and stir fry for 5 minutes stirring constantly, urn the heat down to medium, add 1/2 finely sliced onion, 2 Carrots The carrot finely sliced as well. All vegetables have to be finely sliced. 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, 3 celery sticks, 500 grams of broccoli, If you like softer vegetables, you can steam carrots and broccoli for a couple of minutes prior to starting the preparation. Add 200 grams sliced mushrooms, stir fry 5 more minutes, add the pasta, and soy sauce, start with 1/2 cup. You can tweak the amount of soy sauce to your liking. In this recipe, I used 3/4 cups of soy sauce. Taste to check saltiness and add more salt little by little if you feel like it needs more. Remember soy saucy is already salty so be very careful.
